There is nothing negative to say about this campsite. It ticks all the boxes re facilities, location, cleanliness, good showers and we will definitely return. Lydia was so helpful and the camp rules were sensible and adhered to by all.

This was our first stay at Talybont Farm, I had seen it previously on a biking trip to Talybont on usk and thought it looked good.
Really enjoyed our stay, you get plenty of room, and even if every plot is filled it would not feel cramped at all.
The location is great plenty of walks and off road biking from the site, we even hiked to pen y fan from the campsite.
There are great pubs nearby and a nice cafe and shop too.
The toilets and showers are good, warm and with plenty of space in the showers. They were regularly cleaned and were of a good standard. Also there was plenty of washing up facilities, and each caravan plot had a water tap so we did not have to go far for water
There was a fridge freezer for ice packs, and for a small fee a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The staff were friendly and I would not hesitate to stay at Talybont farm again, we loved it

Just got home from a fantastic week stopping at this clean tidy and quite site. The facilities are 1st class, cleaned every morning and the site is convenient for local amenities. Through the week we virtually had the site to ourselves.

A wonderful site in the heart of Talybont on Usk with helpful and friendly owners and some great views up to the surrounding hills.
Pitches with or without EHU are huge and all appeared to have their own water tap. The facilities (toilets & showers) were immaculate.
Its a few meters walk from the site to village shop, pubs and canal and there is plenty of good walking in the area. From the site there are some lovely canal walks and access to the Taff Trail for walking or cycling is just off the canal.
My only bug bear - having to pay extra for my dog when as a single traveller I am charged for Unit + 2 people, despite this I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Just bought a campervan and was keen to road test. Booked a one night stay and as all the reviews before hand was not disappointed. This site is what every camp should be, adequate space to allow for privacy, spotless facilities, idyllic location, friendly owners and even cows that moo in tune! Plenty of walks in the area, great for cycling, excellent base camp to explore the amazing Brecon beacons. The village has two pubs, a area room / restaurant, a takeaway / post office / store /cafe, and a small kids park. If your not up for an adventure, then the site is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.

We have been staying here for about 10 years. The pitches are the biggest I've ever seen. The site is spotless, there are 2 showers in the mens and also one that everyone forgets about next to the farm house. Booking in advance is essential as unfortunately the word has got out about how good this site is. We take our bikes here, because the canal is next door and either way it is easy cycling with pubs, brecon or beautiful scenery either way. It's not a matter of if but when we will be returning.

Decided on a short trip to beautiful Talybont. Arrived here without booking and were told that only one night was free, but within the hour, the owner Lydia found us and gave us the fab news that there had been a cancellation for the next night. HUGE pitches, immaculately looked after grounds/grass. Far enough away to cut out traffic noise. The toilet block is immaculate but the only negative would be in high season I presume, there would be a lot of queues.
Very friendly owner and dog friendly too; all the other people there this weekend were super friendly.
Very short walk to the local shop and pubs, and beautiful surroundings.
Cant wait to return :-)

This was our first ever motorhome holiday for my husband and I and Talybont was our first stop where we stayed for two nights. What a beautiful site! It has set our benchmark high and was the best location of our week long hol.
Really wide pitches; great shower & toilet facilities. Only 2 showers each for men & women. As we were mid week and not high season this wasn't a problem, but I imagine there may be demand in the Summer. Fabulous views from the fields and it appears they only allow camping around the outer fields which means you have great space around you. Plots are reasonably level - just a chuck under the front wheels and we were done!
There are pubs within a very short walk and a local shop that sells most things you could run out of. Straight onto the canal which we cycled along, passed locks down to a great pub for lunch. We then cycled up to the Talybont Reservoir which is beautiful and has a circular cycle around. We also did a lovely circular walk in the morning that took about an hour or so.
A perfect spot - loads more to explore, so we'll definitely be back.

Just returned from TalyBont Farm site, although we stayed on the Rally Pitch adjoining the site with C&CC. We walked through the camp site which I must say is immaculate. The pitches look spacious with EHU on the main field. Although as Rally members we were not allowed to use site facilities, I did pop my head around to see what was available for future camping, they looked clean and well looked after in a wooden chalet. But only 2 toilets & 2 showers in of each of males/Females, this doesn't seem a lot for a large site? There was a laundry room there too.
The entrance to the site looked quite tight for larger units, but would probably be ok, as this is a working farm with large machinery negotiating it fine!
Just opposite the site is the Brecon Canal, which being May Bank Holiday was a hub of activity, we sat on one of the many wooden seats watching it all! Ideal site for cyclists as Brecon town was 5 miles away with Llangynidr ( with a few canal locks) 3 miles in other direction, easy going on tow path only a bit muddy in places.
In the village, again almost at the entrance of campsite, there is a village store/post office with a small cafe next door. And we saw a few pubs all near by selling food, although, we didn't try any of them.
This is the 1st time We've stayed in this area, will definitely return & stay on the actual campsite instead of their Rally field. Dogs are allowed on site, just an additional cost, there is a campsite down the road but no dogs allowed. All in all a good central place to discover surroundings areas such as Brecon, Abergavenny, Hay on Wye not to mention Walking the Brecon Beacons.

We have stayed here on a few occasions and thought we should leave a review.
This is a lovely campsite large pitches, Water and electric to all pitches in the main field. Then the next 2 fields are without and are for tents and caravans. Ideal for children and dogs and lots of places to go if you like walking. There are 2 pubs just outside the caravan park, they both allow well behaved dogs and both do good food. The one nearest to the caravan park does tend to have great live music the last Friday of the month.
The campsite was not far off full on this Easter weekend but we never queued for toilets or showers.
Lydia the owner passed pleasantries as we paid and informed us of local attractions.
The canal is just behind the pub and lots of barges pull in to eat here. The Usk River passes through too and we often see Kayakers and canoeists on there.
There is a lovely walk a few miles away to the waterfalls. Brecon is a lovely little town a 5 minute drive away.
Highly recommended.
