What a Fabulous site, we were very lucky and got a cancelled pitch, we stayed for 4 nights,
Its set in an orchard and we were lucky to have hot weather, so you have sun and shade (which our Airedale loved, she is new to camping!)
The staff were very friendly and helpful just as I think they should be,
The pub called the Travellers Joy is just that, lovely welcome, lovely food, welcomed the dog too and just on the doorstep, we were too late for food the first night when we arrived, so they kindly let us order a Chinese and let us eat it on the premises that's what I call a welcome. Suffice to say we had a meal there another night and a few drinks too!
Back to the site itself, the facilities are clean, spacious, enough for all & catered well for disabled persons. There could be a bit more lighting around the field and possibly some taps.
The area is flat so is good for cycling, there is a lot to see locally, harbours, good walks, ( one right opposite the site ) Emsworth just along the road is very pretty, nice shops, Pagham Harbour lovely.
All in all well worth camping here, will definitely go back, I do think that it is more of a grown-ups site rather than a family one though.

I stayed for 2 nights during the 'mini heat wave' at the end of July. On booking I found that there would be an extra charge of £3. 75 because the whole site was Club Service Pitches (Camping and Caravanning Club) I only have a small tent and motorcycle and wouldn't require electric hook-up. Nonetheless I was happy to complete the booking.
On arrival, a very polite welcome awaited me. I was asked how small my tent in fact was, because there was a chance of adjusting my pitch to enable a party to stay on their pitch for another night. This all worked out nicely and I was given a refund for the electric hook-up that I didn't need. Where I was pitched I still had plenty of room.
This is a lovely sight, small compared to most I have visited, but all units appropriately spaced. The facilities spotless and the wardens were always helpful. I was given the barrier code for vehicle entry, but whenever I returned to the sight after trips out on my motorbike, the barrier was always raised for me, so I didn't have to dismount, remove gloves and retrieve code from pocket!
In the evening I was able to take advantage of the nearby train station (Southbourne) to go to Chichester, and also visit The Murrell Arms in Barnham (one of my favourite pubs)
I would recommend this site to anybody. A most enjoyable break for me.

Site was much smaller than it looked in the photos. Mostly camper vans which were quite close together. No views and no atmosphere. Facilities on site were clean and well maintained though. Too many rules and regulations for me. More suited to retired visitors not families or people looking to mix with fellow campers. Did not feel a relaxed atmosphere, sorry. Pub next door was handy and Chinese restaurant up the road was good.

Just spent four excellent days at this site. The site is a perfect example of how to run a camp site, excellent reception, easy check-in, not too big, very well maintained, friendly management and the facilities WOW, spotless, warm, never crowded, couldn't be better.
Situated in a perfect location for touring the south coast and walking/cycling. Close to Portsmouth and Bognor/Brighton etc.
The pub at the entrance to the site is one of the best we have seen near a site, excellent choice of beers and top quality food at sensible prices, highly recommended.
However the site is not very child friendly as being so small, there is no play area, this however was an attraction for us as we like quiet sites now.

We stayed here for my wife's birthday. It is a wonderful small site ideal for mature couples as there is not much for kids. From a very warm welcome right through the length of our stay the staff very friendly and helpful. The facilities are kept to a very high standard and are beautifully clean at all times.
It is ideally situated for buses to Portsmouth one way and Brighton the other with all places in between, the pub was closed for refurbishment when we were there but we will be going back so get a chance to try it then, however we had a very nice meal on my wife's birthday at the Chinese restaurant a short walk away.
A lovely walk around the mudbanks leads into the quaint town of Emsworth where we enjoyed a pint or two at the Town Brewery and then a stroll back to the site with a visit to the Sussex Brewery for Sunday lunch and a pint of course.

A very nice site that seemed to be very full for the time of year – other sites we have visited were almost empty.
The showers and toilets are in 2 separate blocks but both were exceptional (one was still being decorated).
Our pitch was close to the road and there is a fair amount of traffic and noise.
There is a pub near the site entrance and a farm shop further down the road.
Overall would use site again as a stopping off point but not sure about more than 1 night unless we had lots to do in the area.

A beautifully maintained small site. The cleanest showers and toilets we have ever seen. The disabled facilities have newly refurbished and are very accessable and well equiped. Very helpful pleasant wardens. There is a bus service just out side the entrance giving a route from Portsmouth to brighton. Can recommend Emsworth. Its lovely. Super walks around Chichester Harbour. Overall great for cyclists and walkers. Not for children needing a play area as there is none. There is a pub near the site entrance. Very friendly and good pub food. Will be closed march 2012 for 1 month for refurbishment. Hope the open fires are kept as they were warm and welcoming.

This is a delightful site which is well situated for visiting the Chichester Harbour area. Although the site is small it has good facilities, situated in a single block near the entrance. There were only 3 showers working in the Ladies and 4 in the Gents but no queues at this time of year. The showers were push-button but lots of lovely hot water.
We were well away from the road which was busy at times but did not keep us awake.
There is a Farm Shop just down the road which had a good variety of food if you want to eat at home - but make sure you check the sell-by dates before buying!
This is a lovely area for cycling, especially where there are cycle lanes. The Saltern Way which goes south from Chichester is very good. We also cycled to Hayling Island and down the Hayling Billy path. Traffic was a bit manic going onto Hayling - which seemed a bit odd as it can't be going very far!
We found that several of the marinas dotted around the harbour have cafes which open all day, every day so you are never too far from a cup of tea. We particularly liked the one at Chichester Marina for a very good breakfast.
The station is just up the road with a regular service to Portsmouth or Chichester and beyond. Even in November we found lots to do and could have stayed longer.

We spent a week here and intend to return as we did not have sufficient time to see every thing we wanted, we did however come away with a large bag of apples from the site.
The site is small but beautifully kept and traffic operates on a one way principal which some campers ignored.
You don't need a car here as there is a bus service with buses at least every 30 mins and some times more often.
We went to Portsmouth to visit the spinnaker tower, expensive but well worth it, a boat trip round the docks was also very good, Chichester was another lovely place with lots of independent shops. You can also get to Havant, Brighton and almost any where on the coast, change at Chichester for Bognor.
The train is also a good way to get around, if you travel off peak as it stops at some of the places missed by the bus. The site is very sheltered so no problems on windy days. A lovely site and one I'd recommend.

A truly delightful site, like camping in some ones garden. Pitches perhaps are smaller than normal but with apple trees in abundance and flowers it didn't matter to us.
There is some road noise so I wouldn't want to be on a pitch just behind the hedge. Facilities block was beautifully kept and spotlessly clean.
With only 56 pitches the toilets/showers were never crowded. The village of Emsworth is about 1. 5/2 miles away which we walked but this is along a fairly busy road so was not that pleasant.
There is a delightful walk just across the road (which is also the dogwalk) which takes you to the sea.
Close to Chichester which is a lovely city, parking can be difficult especially on market day so we used the leisure centre on the edge of the city and walked in.
One point that needs to be made is that all pitches are serviced pitches and you pay for electric hook-up whether you want it or not.
