Choose this site because of it's location and it proved to be excellent in that respect, with a regular bus service along the coast from outside the gate.
The site itself was however tired, and the pitch we were allocated was dreadful with cars driving both in front and behind our outfit. Once we realised that the way the pitches were laid out meant traffic was driving within a couple of feet of the rear of our van we immediately requested to move.
We were initially refused but told we could move the following morning. When this was also refused, despite pitches having become available, we decided to go elsewhere and get a refund for the remaining nights.
Then we were then offered a much better pitch so stayed, it was such a shame that our request could not have been accommodated without us having to cause a fuss. It was notable that several other outfits also moved pitch, so clearly there was some issue with the quality of pitches.
The other facilities were of a good standard, despite there being only one water tap for all, however the cost for a poor pitch in a cramped site did not offer value for money and compared unfavourably with other sites nearby.
The CCC have a well located site in Chichester with a high occupancy level that is crying out for some investment.

Spent 4 nights on site. Originally selected it for proximity to a lot of attractions and that was not a disappointment. There is a bus stop outside the gate, but mindful of other reviews we tried getting around by train - a doddle and surprisingly not too expensive (for two).
Fishbourne Roman Villa, Chichester, Littlehampton, Arundel, Portsmouth all within easy reach, although its advisable to leave wallets at home if visiting Portsmouth's Gunwharf Quay!
Site facilities adequate, although we'd echo the comments of others about the push-button showers. They were however spotless and we never had to queue, although the site was quite full.
Site proximity to the road means some intrusive noise if your pitch is at that end of the site (ours was)- if offered a choice, pitch in the middle of the site!
Staff efficient and friendly
A handy pub next door and if you're not put off by the rather tired look of the place, the beer is well-kept and the food very good basic pub fare with a frequently-changing specials board.

Had a very enjoyable weekend at this site. A typical C+CC site, very helpful wardens, everything in good order + very well looked after.
The site is a bit compact, it was full on one of the nights of our stay but never felt overcrowded. The only negative aspects for us were the push button showers + no on-site recycling.
The location is just what we require, farm shop + pub 5 / 10 minute walk away, 20 minute walk into Emsworth, a lovely quayside town with pubs, restaurants + small shops. Chichester is well worth a visit as is Fishbourne Roman Palace + there are many country and coastal walks. Also very handy is Chichester Caravans only just up the A259 which has an excellent accessory shop.
Will definitely return.

Was concerned on reading previous reviews that the campsite was a bit cramped & the pitch sizes are smaller than other C & C C Sites - but we had no problem with the pitch in our reasonably large tent - we were pitched at the back of the orchard so couldn't comment on the road noise at night, we couldn't hear it from where we were, just the woodpidgeons in the morning!
The site clean & well kept, & no queue for the showers even though the site was practically full for the whole trip (10 days) - my only gripe with the showers was the push button operation, some were set at only 10 sec intervals even though the official line from the Club is up to 30 secs.
The lady wardens were very helpful, as was the assistant male warden, not too keen on the sarcasm of the male warden.
Next door to the site is a Doctors surgery, a dentist along the road with a Boots & the CO-Op opposite with a fee free ATM - Elmsworth, the nearest larger village, has takeaways and banks.
Chichester is about 5 miles away, & the bus stop is just outside the site entrance, but bear in mind the prices, a 10 min journey return ticket for 2 adults was 8.80 - also an afternoon at the beach & 2 afternoons at the historic dockyard resulted in 17.00 in parking fees

This is a gem of a site. The staff are nice people nothing was too much trouble, one takes you too your pitch and lends a hand to get you straight tells you where everything is.
The toilet block is spot on very clean. The shower block very nice clean and hot showers. Oneway only traffic at 5mph gate to get out key code your pitch is easy to park next too and is flat, the tv rep is ok but I had too get a new aerial mine and the booster was not up to the job but that's my fault not theirs
Good shops close you can get everything from food to caravan spares and so close to Portsmouth and southsea (and kens fish and chips and kebab shop
In all a great site, nothing for the kids, but we took them out each day 10/10

The wardens are great and very helpful. We were pitched on 29 by the side of the main road. After one night, we found it too noisy. I went to the wardens in the morning to see if we could move and they put us on pitch 37. This side of the site is very quiet and perfect for us.
The site is close to Wittering beaches, Portsmouth and Chichester. There is also Chichester Caravans 300 yards down the road should you require anything.

What can I say about this site, the wardens are totally amazing, nothing is too much trouble, for some strange reason, I got our dates of arrival mixed up and we arrived a whole day early, not a problem, they fitted us in, and moved us the following day.
It rained all the time we were there, the roads were a bit puddley (not sure if that is a word!) but the pitches have the plastic grid things, so that was fine.
The shower/toilet block is upto the Camping and Caravan high specs. Immaculate.
Small friendly site, situated on a very busy main road, which you cannot hear at all.
We know Chichester very well, I can recommend Chichester Caravans approx 150 yards down the road, truly helpful guys in there.
If you fancy a real good home cooked carvery then travel into Chichester and visit the Nags Head, you will not be disappointed.
Tescos and Sainburys are also a small drive away.
West Witterings Beach is also a must, its also a nature reserve, so they do charge a small admission, the beginning of the beach is for the water sports, surfing, body boarding, kite surfing etc, but further down is the dog beach a kite flying field, and place to have BBQ's spend a whole day there.
You are also not far from Portsmouth and Bognor Regis and all they have to offer.
Highly recommend this site

A very pleasant but small site. Was fairly busy when we were there. Would not care for it in summer as pitches seem to be double banked.
The duty warden (male) when we went was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. We had requested a pitch near the shower block and were placed right next to it, which was great, thanks! It is quite near the road and I wondered if it would be noisy, but it wasn't.
Although the site name is Chichester, it is actually about 5 miles away from there. Huge Tesco in Chichester. Useful caravan shop (Chichester caravans) just 300 yards away. Good for stocking up on all those bits and pieces you need!
Great base for exploring the coast (Witterings and Bracklesham) or the South Downs. Will definitely return.

Was given a friendly welcome on arrival. Was given a choice of pitches. Being February half term we were the only tent on site, with just over half of the site being used by caravans and motorhomes. Toilets and showers were upto the usual C & CC standard. Washing up area with washing machine and dryer. All water points etc were well signed. Site is ideally located for exploring Portsmouth and the surrounding area. Good for travel by train or bus (train station is a 10 min walk away). Co-op and farm shop within 5 min walk, and the Golden Chopsticks chinese takeaway about 10-15 min walk (very nice too!). There isn't a play area for children to play on this site, and I would imagine if its full there wouldn't be much room between units for them to 'let off steam' either. Ideal site for adults. I would return again.

Chichester C&CC club site, we chose this site as we wanted to explore the Portsmouth area, after many a time travelling into Portsmouth to catch the ferries and never seeing enough of it, the site is in a great location for exploring the area we even travelled as far east as Brighton which I was very impressed with, Portsmouth was every thing and more than I thought it would be, and the town s and villages nearby including Chichester were all wonderful Back to the site, this site felt very much like a adult only site,as there was nothing for Children to do on site also it was quite small 50+ pitches, every thing was immaculate to C&CC standards There was some slight road noise from the road out side the site but nothing to worry about, a short walk 3 to 5 minutes from site was a well stocked spar shop and post office, also a farm shop, the other way a similar distance was a caravan dealer and accessory dept, and a Chinese restaurant
