The site is in lovely surroundings with breath taking views. The beach can be accessed by walking down 220 steps (but remember you have to walk back) Not recommended for the less mobile. The toilets ran out of paper a couple of times during our stay and we found the showers were only lukewarm. The shop was adequately stocked and the childrens play area was good. Before we booked we made requests for a pitch near to the toilets over the phone which were promised but not given. When we approached the proprietor he didn't`t want to know.

This was a good site that justified its five stars in terms of its facilities.
As with many rural sites its approach through Coombe Martin is rather narrow for a maximum size touring van and the tight curves on the site itself have to be tackled with care. Most of the pitches are level or nearly so.
This site is pretty, with varying levels, views of the sea from the more exposed upper pitches and trees, flower beds and shrubs surrounding the lower areas. We were on the same level as the toilet block between the bar and the play area. Being all over 60s we feared noise just here but were pleasantly surprised by the restraint shown by young and old in this just-before-the-school-holiday week.
The surrounding countryside is very beautiful, particularly the view of the 'secret beach' from the cliff path to Watermouth. Reaching the beach itself down 220 steps gives a feeling of real achievement. Continuing along the main path leads eventually to Coombe Martin with a pleasant hotel (good bar meals) along the way.
The shop was well stocked. We did not use the pool, bar or cafe but these were all open and appeared to be fine.
Our minor niggle was with the toilet facilities. These are obviously miles better than in the past but the building itself is built almost into the hill and has very little natural light. The artificial light is harsh although not very bright. The lavatory cubicles have no hooks, the lavatory paper is hard to the touch and hard to tear into sensible pieces and the shower design means that the outer changing areas gets splashed from the main shower. There are no diy mop or cleaning facilities such as you would get on a member's site and so the whole place gets a bit untidy between cleans which do however appear to be quite frequent at this busy time.
All in all though we enjoyed our stay at Napps and would come again.

Again as last year great site, clean tidy with the addition of pvc windows around the cafe, only bad thing about holiday was the weather. The owners polite and helpful, knowledgeable about the area, pointed me in the direction of the nearest fishing lake quite easily, knew about the powerboat racing which was why we chose this weekend which was very helpful.

We arrived at Napps late on a Friday evening and got lost once (sat nav's fault) but phoned the park who were very friendly and point us in the right direction. We went out of season so the shop nor the bar were open, thought they might of been on a weekend as there were plenty of people there. The views from the park are great, it was a bonus pulling back the curtains and seeing the sea. The park is very open and it did get windy. The toilet block was very modern and clean, but cold. There is no heating in here and the water in the shower was tepid. Combe Martin and a good stroll away, but worth the trek as some great eateries here. The pub at the bottom of the drive is good, but only opens in the evening off season.

We have just spent 6 lovely days at this site. The views are spectacular. We found all the staff very friendly. The pub at the bottom of the hill is ok and the food is fine. We have left our caravan in storage there as we will be returning throughout the year.

I love this site. My family have been going since I was a small child and return most years. It is great for familys as there is a swimming pool, tennis courts, play area for the kids, and a games room. The bar is a lovely place to spend your evenings, whilst watching the glorious sunset over Watermouth Cove (not a better view in the world). The bar has entertainment in high season, but is quiet when the kids are at school. The site is situated close to a secluded beach and is just a five minute walk, although there are steps to walk down the cliff side to get to it but it is well worth it. This site also has a good takeaway and shop and whilst there is a lot on this site it is not too commercial as some sites can get particularly in high season. The local area is fantastic with superb scenery and friendly locals. Recommended places to visit whilst you are staying here are Woolacombe, Lynton, Valleys of Rocks, Ilfracombe and Combe Martin bay and if you are lucky you can see the odd dolphin or two. I would recommend this site to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

August 2005 Nice multi-level site, lots of pitches for carvans and tents. Plenty on site to keep the kids amused; games room, tennis court, adventure playground, football pitch, and swimming pool. The site also has a well stocked shop and a take away and a very good bar.
Can be a bit windy as site is on a hill facing the sea.Lots of american visitors during the day and they are quit noisey ,(sorry that was just the jet planes they wre flying). Shower/toilet block very clean and modern in the mens, but not so good in the womens- (not like the photos), old, dirty and smelly, and bags by the sinks for used womens products!
The site is on a quite steep old coast road right next to a coastal pathway, so lots of places to take doggies for long walks. Very good site only let down by the womens shower block which isnt up to the high standards of the rest of the facilities. Would still recommend this site though and will return again.

August 2005 We have just returned from this sight on Sat we thought it was fantastic. If you have booked to go we're jealous. Shop is well stocked frienly helpful staff. Our seven year old loved the site, great play area, tennis fab, pool great couldnt get him out. No life guard in attendance children supposed to be over fifteen to go in pool this wasnt always the case so don't let your child go to the pool by itself. Lots of messing around, we always attended swimming sessions!
Showers and toilets new kept clean could have done with more but hey your on holiday whats the rush. Club house was great with decked area pool table etc for kids. Entertainment provided every night. Water supply for caravans did go off at times due to campers showering but all you had to do was sit back and enjoy the fantastic views out to sea it was breath taking, sunsets were beautiful we've never seen so many stars!
Beach is ok hike back up those 220 steps is hard on the legs. We travelled to willacombe beach nearly every day it's not a long drive. Well worth it though. Food is so so on site if you're very hungry! Good cup of tea! Pub just at the bottom of the hill - The Sawmill Inn fantastic grub!
Lots of stuff going on in school holidays monster truck shows, local festivals, scrambling, ask locals they are glad to help.If you want to have the views from your caravan window be sure to ask for pitch on the row including and below 17. All tiers above are for tents. All in all we loved it and didnt want to come home, booking for next year soon.

July 2005 We spent 2 weeks here in July. I couldn't fault the location, as with most place on the North Devon coast, it was well positioned with stunning views. The kids could run around the play area and the pool was nice. The place has a bar, shop and takeaway which all served their purpose. It's a bit of a hike to the top from the toilets. The only problem was the unfriendly service - I don't now what we did wrong! The area is saturated with campsites so I'll return to the area next year.

June 2005 Hadn't booked as wasn't high season but had no problem with having a choice of pitches. Fmaily run site and owners were very helpful and pleasant.
New toilet/shower blocks for this season of which there must be at least 8 showers and many more loos in both womens and gents, all brand new and very clean.
Nice heated outdoor pool, shop, bar and childrens area. Also a small take away / eats open at different times depending on season.
Nice views and very quiet. Cheeky birds though that come under your tent and "steal" your bread!!!!
Would definately visit again and have no hesitation in recommending this to others.
