Camped midweek as part of a walk on the South Downs Way.
Large field and very quiet at this time of the year. Water tap and porta loos. Loos OK but past there best this late in the season.
Best way to directly access the site from the SDW is from Graffham Down SU927161 and down the restricted byway to site entrance below Brockhurst Bottom. Phone ahead to check!
£10 for a one person tent. Friendly site owners and will return next year.

Huge open space; camp where you like. Dark skies area.
Fire pits created on the field, and logs available to buy, so lots to like!
Only one tap, and a few portaloos around the site, which were clean, but bring your own hand gel.
The field is a long drive (well about a mile) up a rutted track.

We have been here plenty of times, and it is always a great stay. The place is absolutely basic, but it is what you make it.
Be careful of the rocky drive to it it’s a bum clenching drive if your car is a little low.
V chill place and it’s big enough for you to do your own things

I love this no-frills campsite. We visited over Aug bank hol with 3 families. The kids played on the rope swings by the woods for 3 days, only coming back for food and sleep.
The adults enjoyed the beautiful views (the location is stunning), the sunshine (we were so lucky with the weather), relaxing with friends round the campfire.
It is very very basic (not-so-nice portaloos and few and far between stand pipes only) but this is perfectly fine for a weekend. It was quite noisy with laughter and music on Sat night, but we didn’t mind this at all.
It all added to the atmosphere of an fun, easy going campsite. Mr Humphries is very helpful and friendly and comes round in the evening selling logs.
We’ll be back soon.

Amazing setting. Beautiful fields. Very laid back and chilled atmosphere. Loads of space and freedom to pitch where you like. Direct access to Beautiful woodland walks.
Great to be able to have a big camp fire!
Only downside is the poor facilities. Portaloo's are filthy, no hand sanitiser or hand washing facilities. So make sure you go prepared!
Drinking water point is a long way from the main camping field. So again, go with lots of water and a big container. No showers or washing up options.
Just a couple more taps and portaloos being cleaned would make a huge improvement.

The camping field is a long way up a very bumpy track, so very tranquil but there are only very basis facilities - a few porta-loos and water from a standpipe on a cattle trough.
This place is only for people who like wild camping - if you do, it is certainly a place to visit.

Well very basic site with just portable toilets and a tap for drinking water.
A little noise for us but that's camp life on this site.
Road to the site is very very bumpy.
But the Pub in the village was amazingly nice and food was great 5 star.

Stayed with a friend and family. Right next to 60th birthday party weekend but we were not bothered.
Beautiful place to stay and will definitely go back.
I imagine some times it's quieter than the weekend we stayed, probably pot luck. £5 per adult, £3.50 for kids, extra £5 for the shade sail I up too. Still made it a lot more reasonable than other sites.

Unfortunately there were some motorhomes with very loud guests & another tent with occupiers playing very loud music until the early hours!
Farmer collects the money but the site isn’t managed well. We left after one night having paid cash for two!
Toilets disgusting!
