A site with a superb location overlooking Scourie Bay and, if you are lucky, the setting sun on the horizon. We used one of their hard pitches with EHU. This was not far off being level and was close to the toilet block which was clean, albeit there was no working heating on a chilly day. The showers were free of the limiters seen elsewhere - thanks!
The welcome by the resident warden was first class. Some contributors have reported on a car park atmosphere and draconian rules about dogs but we saw nothing of those. Indeed, the site is excellent and close to the shop, petrol station and hotel (all being few and far between up here). The on site cafe was still closed in mid May, so there was no WiFi and there is also no terrestrial TV signal. Not a cheap stay but recommended nonetheless.

This is an excellent campsite with clean facilities and friendly staff.
2 washing machines of which only one was working and one dryer. There was a constant stream of people waiting to use the machines whilst we were there so only gripe would be that need both machines working and possibly another dryer.
We were touring the area and staying at another campsite further North when we stumbled across this site on the way to Ullapool, we were that impressed we drove back and moved our caravan to this site for 3 nights.
We were on hard standing overlooking the bay with a beach on either side, pebbles on one side and soft sand the other. There were pigs kept in a field by the beach with encouragement to feed them if you wanted to. They were very friendly and our dog loved it.
Visited the on site cafe/pub for free wifi with purchase and prices and selection were good.
Spar shop within a few mins walk of the site with friendly staff.
Great location for visiting Handa Island, Ullapool and surrounding area, Durness and the beautiful beaches of Oldshoremore and Sandwood Bay.
Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Beautiful bay, but the site is basically a pub/restaurant car park with electric hook up. Toilet and shower facilities, good but tired. Only 1 hot air hand dryer and outside of men and women toilets (shared by both). No staff on site during our visit. Pub staff disinterested and seemed clueless. Strident commands on every sign on every wall, everywhere you looked. Not at all welcoming. Most unhelpful and unfriendly site we have been to. We paid for two nights, but only stayed for one, despite lovely view. It would be better if they said no dogs, as there were numerous signs telling you that dogs were not allowed on grounds. Except to get outside of gates. Bring your dog, just don't let them out of your camper.

My 2nd visit to Scourie Bay camp site. The bay is idyllic and the camp site sits just above it with stunning views out of the bay to the west, ideal for sunsets. The beach is quite sandy and I swam from it on this trip.
This is a no booking camp site and the staff are friendly and very helpful. There are a few of the normal rules which make no difference to the relaxed atmosphere of the site. The toilets and showers are clean and hot and not too drafty in colder weather. There is a bar and restaurant on site and a nearby hotel ( well known amongst fishermen), a petrol station, fishing tackle shop and convenience store. A trip with the Scourie wild life viewing boat operators, which run from the harbour, is a do not miss experience during the breeding season for sea birds.
The trip out of the bay to nearby Handa Island is stunning and the experience of sitting on the water close into the'stacks' that the puffins, guillemots, razor bills etc. Breed on is exceptional. In fact it is soo good that I am returning to the camp site again this week for another night or so and another trip to Handa Island.

What an amazing location, having toured the far North of Scotland and heading down the West Coast it was lovely to find such a great site for our RV overlooking the bay. They had plenty of space for a large vehicle and suitable dumping facilities.
The laundry and ablution facilities were excellent and well maintained and cleaned. The site also has a restaurant and bar at the entrance, providing good beer and food, though the menu could be a more adventurous particularly with the amount of fresh/smoked fish and venison available locally. There is no dog walk, dogs must be exercised off site, you can walk easily down to the small harbour which is more than adequate.
The Scourie Hotel offers barmeals (round the back) and dining in the restaurant (£35 per head fixed price), nice local colour in the bar and excellent food, tad pricey. There is also a 24 hour filling station in Scourie, which was a welcome find, and a good shop stocking local produce and groceries and offering a Post Office. You won't regret a visit to this site, awesome views out to sea.

Lovely spot overlooking a small bay.
Just turn up -friendly welcome-choice of pitches -some with bay views.
Facilities very good -clean shower/toilet block and laundry room.
The Anchorage has a bar/cafe with bar meals -didn't try a meal as they stop serving at 8pm and we were 10 mins late when we hoped to eat there!
Great sunset over the bay -lots of birds.
Used as an overnight stopover on route to Ullapool but would love to stay a little longer another time.

Stopped here for a few nights on tour of our homeland and were not disappointed. Site is now run for the family by a friendly chap from Falkirk - him and his wife very helpful.
Arrived early (can't book) and got a prime location overlooking the beach. Free wi-fi in The Anchorage with a donation to Cancer Research.
Toilet block very clean with plenty of hot water. Good laundry facilities. Trekked over the hills to get ferry to Handa Island - if you don't want to do the walk then drive to the ferry - a 'must do' if in the area. Fabulous coastline.

Spent a lovely, pleasant week here at Scourie. Toilets, showers, facilities all clean, very satisfactory and ample hot water. All pitches have magnificent views of Scourie Bay.
We returned in July hoping to spent another brilliant week or two there, however, on checking in we were told that tents had to be moved every 3 days and this rule was on display at the office.
We have a large frame tent and the thought of having to move this plus equipment every 3 days was ridiculous. Pitches are not allocated so there is nothing to stop someone turning up later on and pitching where you have just vacated.
In 30 years of camping I have never encountered such a ruling. But for a short stay, Scourie is excellent.

Very nice site with excellent facilities for all types of unit, including a very well designed motorhome service point. A very well equipped shop is only a couple of minutes walk away.
Stayed here 2 nights and watched some amazing sunsets. The site is friendly and very welcoming, unfortunately with only two nights we did not get time to try The Anchorage but we will next time, and there will be a next time.
The site has a good mix of hard standings and grass pitches which are terraced to give level pitches and a feel of openness. Showers are free and very good with an excellent shelf above the door where you can keep your clothes dry.

This site was a vital part of our trip around the Scottish coast. Our two night stay allowed us to walk the beach and coast to the south of the site. Where else can you see an eagle, palm trees, llamas in such a compact area.
Stunning sunsets and excellent facilities including free showers and a well designed motorhome service point. We didn't try the cafe but were told by our neighbours that it was good value. Our pitch overlooked the bay from the cliff edge.
Although pitches were not formally marked there was sufficient space between units. Perhaps some of the 'rules' could be removed (you would need a longer stay to read all the notices) I think particularly overseas visitors would be perplexed by their abundance.
Hard working family members keep the site in good order. A short walk to a well stocked store and one of the finest fishing tackle shops imaginable shares the petrol station building.
