Great site. Great views especially if, like us, you book ahead and ask for a seafront pitch. (Although the hard standing covers quite an area, with no grassy relief). Excellent large, clean toilet and facilities block though one of us had to queue for a shower in the morning. Quite good wifi, and nice helpful staff.
Lovely walking available out to the headland just south of the site. Going north, there's a challenging walk to Tarbet, from where a passenger ferry leaves for the local bird-watching island. I would recommend driving there, though, if you're going.
There's a Spar on site which also doubles as a pub in the afternoon. The Spar sells just-warmed up croissants in the morning. Lovely! About 200 metresaway there's a village shop with further produce, and newspapers.
The site is very popular with people doing the 'NC500' ; most of them seem to only stay one night, more's the pity for them.

Stunning location and views from the campsite right beside the bay! Very friendly staff.
Ice site facilities. Shame the bar was being refurbed when we were there (in April 2023), it'll be great when that's open.
Good shop in the village. Really nice fish and chip van too some evenings.
Great walk up into the hills behind the village (lady in reception described how to get there) with amazing views inland of the mountains.

Excellent campsite for a stopover on the NC500.
The pitches were clean and flat with amazing views.
We had a hardstanding with hook-up pitch.
Facilities were clean and had no trouble getting a shower.

This site came highly recommended and we weren’t disappointed. The location is beautiful with most pitches enjoying a coastal/beach view. The facilities were spotless and we had a very peaceful & relaxing stay.
We walked about halfway to Tarbet on the ‘path’ that goes up and over from near the harbour. It’s a beautiful walk but you do need proper walking boots & waterproofs at the very least. Ideally, walking poles too and make sure you take warm clothing in case the weather changes which it can almost in an instant. The route would be quite challenging if you weren’t used to walking in the hills and bogs.
There’s a bar/restaurant/cafe next to the site but they were only taking cash when we were there. A couple of hundred yards away is a village shop selling essentials.
Pre-booking is almost essential with this site as it’s so popular and you must also arrive by 5pm unless you’ve rung & arranged otherwise.

We have used this campsite in the past and really love it.
We pre-booked so were assigned a pitch overlooking the bay, which is really beautiful.
There are numerous pitches, hard and grass, well separated over a large field, but those overlooking the bay are all on a hard standing area.
The facilities were excellent and the lady owners was particu9larly friendly and helpful.
The adjacent beach is quite large and there are nice walks out to the %point and/or round to the local harbour.
We will rebook if we are in the area and can highly recommend this site.

Stayed here for 1 night while touring the NC500, what a lovely campsite.
We were allowed to choose our pitch and the pitch sizes are big! Nice and peaceful campsite.
Toilet and shower block good size and very clean.
Would definitely recommend this campsite.

Cracking site with excellent facilities, had a very enjoyable night on a grass pitch looking directly out onto the Atlantic. Sunset was stunning.
COVID measures are in place with controlled access to toilets & showers. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
This was the perfect spot for an overnight stay prior to visiting Handa island.
Already planning to return.

Wonderful setting. Extremely peaceful.
Marvellous views.
We were greeted by a very nice warden who was dealing admirably with the fact that the internet had crashed.
Enjoyed our brief stay, could have stayed longer.

Lovely site smaller than I thought it would be but had a great few nights there. Pick any available pitch which was great we managed to get one overlooking the water.
Arrived quite late at night and it was a bit of a fight with the wind and rain but was well worth it.
Great pitch and quite peaceful with good views.
