This was our first visit to site. Very open and good spaces between caravans. Friendly staff. Toilet and shower block very nice and kept clean. Laundry and washing up rooms available. Nice play ground for children. Enjoyed peace and quiet 4 days we were there.
The area has plenty of places to visit. Burford, Whitney etc. Had a day in Oxford used the park and ride which is ideal. Opposite site is the Cotswold wildlife park where you can purchase reduced tickets from reception.
It was our first stay at Caravan Club site and we were very pleased with the standards. Hopefully this will be first of many as we are very new to caravanning.

A nice sunny weekend makes most campsites seem good! This campsite though is good in any weather. The site is very well maintained with well cut grass and tidy shrubbery and trees.
Grass or hardstanding pitches are all well spaced and well looked after.
Toilet blocks are in very good condition and really well cleaned. Reception has a small shop for any forgotten items. Staff really friendly and helpful.
The Cotswold Wildlife Park is a short walk across the road from the entrance and is well worth a day out. Discount tickets are available from reception if you pay cash.
We will return again to have a look around the area, a weekend is just not long enough!

Fantastic site, mind you 4 days of wall to wall sunshine certainly helps!
Site is beautifully maintained with manicured lawns, spotless shower block and small playground for the kids. There is a small shop in Reception selling basic items.
Met several staff, all of whom were very friendly and helpful.
Burford is a medieval market town and is 2 miles away. It is well situated for visiting the likes of Stow on the Wold, Broadway, Moreton in Marsh etc.
We also spent a full day in Oxford including a guided tour which was very interesting. Oxford is about a 35 minute drive away.
All in all a tremendous site and we will definitely visit again. If only there was a pub close-by it would be the perfect site.

Nice, clean well presented site within easy driving distance of the lovely town of Burford. Arrived in the dark and lashing rain but warm welcome from reception.
Loos and showers lovely and clean and plentiful, really good standard. It seems this is typical of CC sites. Fab baby room with toddler bath and low loos and showers for little people.
Nice pub up lane opposite site turn off, it is signposted on the road. Had excellent food but it was a bit steep, £15 for pie and mash but reviewed as the best pie ever. Possibly representative of the general costs in this area. Food and drink in town also a bit hefty, and was apparently entirely populated by Americans and Japanese with videocameras, quite surreal experience.
Some niggles, we're not members and no-one told us about the strange EHU set up - putting it in and wiggling it about to one side, apparently common on CC sites. Didn't know about it and spent ages faffing about in the dark and rain before sussing why our lights were so dim!
Also - thought the rates were a lot, it was a nice site but not especially worth the cost, again, more likely due to the tourist heavy area.

Previous reviews seem to have said it all. This is the best Caravan Club site I have been to. From the facilities, the helpfulness of the wardens and the standard of maintenance of the site to the ease of access, all are first class.
The site is some distance from the nearest shopping in Witney but the town is well served by national and local shops.
The Rose & Crown at Shilton over the crossroads has excellent cask beer and top quality food (whether it is cheap, dear or average depends on what you are used to!).
The wildlife park across the road provides some interesting noises but not intrusive.

We have just spent 5 nights at this delightful site, if weather had been more promising we would have spent longer as there were plenty of pitches available, we were sorry to leave,
Would be nice to pick up the site and put in another area as we always like to have a good look around other parts of the country!
The facilities were immaculate and pitches were large and nicely spaced, wardens very friendly.
Went for several walks, would be nice to have a few leaflets for these as trying to remember the directions was quite difficult!

We stopped here on the way back from the club site at cambridge just for the one night but have been before for longer. It must be one of the best of all club sites!
The facilities are excellent and, as expected, immaculately maintained by the hard working and very helpful wardens. I can only echo all the previous comments praising the site.
Dog walking direct from the site is slightly awkward but we found no problems walking along the lane to the right as you leave the site; you just have to be aware of the occasional traffic.
Over the crossroads from the site in the village of Shilton is the Rose & Crown pub which does excellent food at reasonable prices.
Only a one-nighter this time but we shall definitely return for a longer stay next year.

This was our first stay at a Caravan Club site (we've never been able to get a pitch before) and we were a little surprised at being given a map of the site and told to find a pitch for ourselves. I have since learned that this is the norm for a Caravan Club site.
The site is large (approx. 120 pitches) but doesn't feel so due to its layout. The staff are friendly and helpful and the site is immaculately kept, with an excellent facilities block and two small dog walks.
Ideally located to tour the Cotswolds, Burford is close to some of the loveliest villages such as Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water as well as Oxford and Blenheim Palace. Discounts on entry to the Cotswold Wildlife Park across the road (dogs can go in too!).
We stayed a full week and enjoyed ourselves. However we do have just two slightly negative points to make: 1) the site staff could only provide details of dog walks from the site that take in a length stretch of road with no pavement; and 2) despite a large play area being provided, parents still allow their children to play ball games and hide & seek around the other caravans - not a site deficiency I admit but still very frustrating for someone who goes to great lengths to ensure their dogs do not disturb anyone and are exercised in the correct places.

We spent 2 nights at this campsite in July, we found the campsite to be very clean and tidy. The park and field for children was great, all the toilets, shower rooms and dishwashing facilities were kept very clean, and the park itself was beautiful. Discount is offered for the Cotswolds Wildlife park too which is a plus if you get the right weather.
We did find our pitch to be quiet small, but luckily were pitched up next to family so made the most of the space between us.
Thought the staff could have been a bit more friendly though.

Typical caravan club standards located in an ideal position opposite the cotswolds wildlife park.

Large site with mainly grass pitches but about 40 hardstandings available so be quick during busy periods.Easy to find as just off the A40!
Play area at bottom of site.
Lovely carvery about 5 miles from site (towards Oxford)called the windmill with silver service and white linen tablecloths! Monica's fish and chip shop in Lechlade.
Inside play area in Carterton for the youngsters to burn off energy if it rains.Swimming pool in Witney.
