We have just returned from a long weekend at Burford and had a great time. The site is flat, spacious and attractive. The wardens were very helpful and did a fine job of looking after everything and keeping the fabulous flower displays watered! They will also provide details of walks from the site. The toilet blocks were very well-maintained and clean. Only problem being not enough showers. In the mornings I had to queue for a shower (of which there are four) whilst six wash basins in private cubicles remained vacant. The site is well-positioned for visits to Stow, Bourton-on-the-Water and all the south Cotswold villages. The village of Burford is well worth a visit too with plenty of shops and pubs, though it's too far to walk. We didn't realise that we could take the dog to the Cotswolds Wildlife Park situated at the site entrance until we had to come home! We will definitely return and pay a visit.

I think this is the best of the Cotswold Caravan Club sites. Its in a parkland setting surrounded by mature trees. The site is mostly grass with a few hard-standings but the grass sites are no problem with access always close to the road. The toilet block is typical CC but could do with a lick of paint, it is very clean though, just needs up -dating. Prices at the Wildlife par are reduced from 9 to 7.75 per adult if you buy the ticket on Site, the Park is right opposite. Burford, just up the road is a lovely ancient Cotswold town with a traffic problem but it's well worth a visit. There's a large off site play area and it looked like all pitches had electric

We have been to this site quite a few times over the past year and really love it, it is very safe for our 4 year old to run around without any worries, the site is extremely well kept and always clean. Staff are very friendly, last time we went there was a gentleman checking in who told them that he had been to the site many times before, this was greeted with "so you won't need a map then" which is fine but a "nice to see you again" or "welcome back" would have been great, I do make a point of saying that I have been quite a few times before but still get no acknowledgement, makes me smile every time.

We have just returned from a weekend visit and had a most enjoyable three days visiting the park and surrounding towns of Burford, Bourton on water etc. The site is well laid out and very clean. Staff help full. Our 4yr old found plenty to do and we felt relax in the knowledge that she was safe. Despite the down fall of rain and strong winds that lasted for over 3hrs (That will teach we to leave the sky light open) we had a great time and will be making a return visit next year.

March 2005 A great site well up to the usual Caravan Club standards - clean, tidy, well organised, good showers / toilets. Plenty of pitches - mostly grass. We were there for Easter weekend and it was pretty much full, even so it never seemed packed. There were quite a few kids, some of them on bikes - but hey, thats whats kids do and to us thats what caravaning is all about. The Cotwolds wildlife park is right opposite and discounted tickets can be bought from the site - the Falconary display was the best bit. The town of Burford is nice to potter about the shops and pubs - very picturesque. In summary well worth a visit.

September 2004 Great site with very helpful wardens. Site is very well looked after with a very clean shower block. Mixture of hardstandings and grass pitches with a free TV booster hook up,as aerials can get interferance from RAF Brize Norton, which is very close and can get quite noisy, apart from that the only noise in the night was from an owl in the tree behind our caravan. 18 miles from Oxford and 18 miles from Swindon.... both worth a visit as is the Cotswold wildlife park (next door) to the caravan site, good mixture of animals including lions, rhinos, monkeys, camels, zebras, flamingos, penguins, Giant tortoises, red pandas, fruit bats, insect & reptile house, and loads of other I can't remember. In this site you can save £5 a night if you are a member of the Caravan club, so as we were there for a week it was well worth joining because the membership paid for itself with that one week. You can join at the site for £31.00 (continuous d/d or c/c Payment). Have a good time, we sure did..

October 2003 The site is a traditional CC site - all facilities are there. The wildlife park is next door and you get reduced prices to enter - neat, if you have kids. The scenery is not wonderful from the site, but there are dog walking facilities, and there is a play area for children. The site is central to loads of wonderful and beautiful places to visit. I have no complaints about this place at all. It made a great base.

April 2004 Nice site to visit with a mix of grass and hard standings there is only one shower/toilet block and at peak times this can get busy. t is worth a note that as this site is very close to the Cotswold Wildlife Park and the site offers discount tickets. The local town of Burford is well worth a visit. The only gripe is that the toilet block seems to draw the children and their bikes to it. The roads around the park during our stay were like bike race tracks which the warden seemed powerless to stop. Damage was also caused to cars during our stay.
