What a lovely friendly well kept site, of course it is up to the usual caravan club standard. It is ideal to visit many of the cotswolds pretty villages. Across the road is the Cotswold wildlife park and gardens and this is well worth a visit you can even get discounted tickets from reception. It is worth taking a picnic however to this as there are many places to sit and the restaurant was ok just quite pricey. The village of Burford itself is very quaint. The park on the site is good and a good football space too. Toilet blocks very clean and good never had to wait long. There are no pubs or shops within walking distance so stock up and also the reception shop is very limited. There are however printed out walks available to buy from reception 3 in total for just 30p these range from 2 1/2 hours to under 1 1/2 hours direct from the site.

Our first visit to this site and unfortunately this proved to be our least favourite CC Cotswold site. Unlike Broadway and Moreton In Marsh CC sites it is necessary to use the car to get anywhere (apart from the Wildlife Centre)as the site is about 2M from Burford itself.
The wardens must be praised for their efforts in so far as they were friendly, hard-working and kept the site facilities and environment in first class order. However, they appeared to turn a blind eye to football being played between vans and kids continuously racing around the site on bikes, hooting hooters and generally making a noise. We were woken at 7.05am on Bank Holiday Monday over Easter by kids shouting despite having pitched as far away from the play area as possible. I know the wardens can't be blamed for this but when I complained their attitude was to speak to the footballers concerned and apologise for spoiling their fun whilst blaming the person who rang the office, priceless! Another issue for us was the 'occasional aircraft noise' as mentioned in the leaflet. RAF Brize Norton appears to come alive when darkness falls and quite literally the glasses in our overhead locker were rattling as they passed overhead, usually between 9.00pm/10.00pm and around 6.00am.
Also the four female and four male showers available for such a large site mean long shower queues. Only one key was available to the toilet block which meant we had to use the facilities at different times. To balance our negatives its fair to say the reception 'shop' was well stocked for a CC site.
The village of Eastleach is well worth a visit if you like tranquility and beauty. We also visited the Trout Farm at Bibury where you can catch your own trout - turned out a nice barbie. Sudeley Castle is also a nice day out if you appreciate gardens and history. We felt Witney wasn't worth visiting and the 'Casterton Market on Thursday' advertised in the site leaflet consisted of about four stalls. Stow On The Wold and Bourton On The Water were their usual jewels in the crown.

We stayed here with the intention of going to the Fairford airshow (which then got cancelled for the 1st time ever!) and it is a great site.
All the facilities were excellent, staff helpful and everything you would expect of a caravan club site.
The Cotswold Wildlife Park is literally opposite - ideally located and a great day out (almost made up for the cancelled airshow!).

This was the first time we've used caravan club site since joining. It was excellent in every way. Thoroughly recommended, go there, you won't regret it.
The pitches are bigger than average and very well maintained.
The toilet/shower block was immaculate.
The wardens made us feel very welcome and obviously work very hard to maintain such a high standard.
We will go there again if we get the chance.

Really impressed with this site.
The pitches are quite wide and are really well spaced out.
Dog walk on site, fenced off and large enough for a small stretch off the lead.
Cotswold Wildlife Park directly opposite the site and you can take dogs, really worth a visit.
You can get discounted tickets from Campsite reception.
The toilets and showers are usual cc standard and the Wardens are very pleasant and really do keep the whole site immaculate.
Burford 2 miles drive away with Budgens supermarket, great butchers.
Lechlade 6 miles away is a nice place to walk along the river or take a boat trip.
Definitely one we will be returning to.

Beautiful site, secluded and exceedingly well kept. The deputy warden, Brian and his wife could not do enough and were extremely helpful.
Showers could be improved, my wife was not too happy using unisex showers.
A word of warning about awning carpets, they only allow wide weave, all others forbidden.
A short walk into town, but beware!if you have mobility problems very steep hill down into town, and of course back up, (somehow did not seem too bad at 2 am coming back from the Mermaid pub!)
Beautiful town, recommend visiting the church.
A good selection of shops.
Decided to leave car behind and take bus to Oxford (using new bus pass!) You have difficulty getting a direct bus to Oxford you have to go Whitney and from there to Oxford, still it was a very pleasant journey.
Highly recommend the Cotswold Wildlife Park, we spent a whole day there.
A great holiday and we will certainly return.

A lovely parkland setting with secluded and open pitching areas approx. 25% hard standings.
Situated directly opposite the wildlife park, easy walking distance. Discounted tickets [£1.25 off adult price}available from the wardens.
Great site for children with an excellent size playing field.
Two separate dog walk areas, the smaller fully fenced and the larger near the main entrance has a private road through it leading to some adjacent houses.
Toilet block with privacy cubicles etc to usual CC high standard, but small queues for the showers form when the site is full.
Wardens very friendly and they stock a good supply of essentials as well as a good selection of daily papers and weekly / monthly magazines.
To sum up, a high quality CC Site in a lovely area two miles from Burford [Walking into town not recommended due to busy road with no verges / pavements]

Well,I would say this is one of the best sites we have stayed at. The site itself is beautiful. Just a walk over the road is the Cotsworld wild life park, discount for campers. So many places near by to visit in this beautiful part of the country. Staff are very friendly and helpful .We live just ten miles from the site and will make many more visits.

Our first time at this site. It is very nicely laid out with 21 hardstandings. We were lucky and got the last one as it was pouring with rain. The washroom/showers were good and you could get papers, sweets, eggs etc from Reception. TV reception was fair but you get booster cables from Reception if required. The site is a couple of miles from Burford. I didn't see any pubs or bus stops but there may be some within walking distance. The site is literally over the road from the Wildlife Park which is well worth a visit. Discounted tickets (£1.25 off) on sale at Reception.
Nice site. Will definitely be back.

First time at this site, we were made to feel welcome from the moment of arrival. Washrooms ,showers etc very clean plenty of hot water. The site itself very tidy and again very clean. Slight bit of noise from RAF Brize Norton no problem for me though having served at BZZ for 8 years when I was in the Royal Air Force. Would recommend this site to anyone.
