We decided to visit Clents Hills as it was just far enough to get us out of Birmingham and into the countryside, it also provided suitable areas for walking / geocaching!
The site was nice, not overly big which suited us as we don't like loud party types, and the toilet block was fairly central and were clean, perfectly adequate.
The friendly warden situated us against a hedge to protect us from some reasonable wind, this looked out toward the park area which allowed us to keep tabs on our daughter and our king charles (who liked the swing!)
On the first evening we walked from camp through Romsley and found the local pub (The Sun), here we were made very welcome and enjoyed very reasonably priced food. The following morning we returned to the village to get fresh bread from the small shop opposite the Sun and got black pudding sausages from the butchers along with stuff for barbie that night!
The site shop did sort out the ice blocks for us but there was very little else which appealed, which is a shame as there is little competition in the village, why not speak to the local butchers and bakers and stock their products?
We enjoyed a very pleasant two night stay here and did plan on returning however we are no longer in the C&CC so not sure if we are allowed.

We stayed here over a very damp bank holiday in June and unfortunately, we weren't impressed.
It started badly when we were greeted by three wardens, one of whom was quite helpful whilst the other two were quite surly. As usual in a tent, we were allocated a pitch about as far away as possibly from the facilities whilst all other caravans / motor homes were nearer.
We had booked a grass pitch with EHU and all of these pitches are on a slope. This is OK in a 'van which can be levelled, but no use in a tent. The grass on site is left very long which is no good in the rain as it holds the water.
There is a small shop on site, but don't rely on this as it is very poorly stocked. A few dry goods and some cartons of Asda long life milk in a fridge. There is a 'Spar' shop around a mile away, but this is quite pricey.
As per most C&CC sites, there is an 'information' room, but I can only assume that they were awaiting a delivery of leaflets as most holders in here were empty.
The facilities are OK. They are clean as you would expect, but there are only 3 showers each in the mens / ladies, not a lot on a site with 95 pitches.
We have always had good experiences with C&CC sites in the past, but we will certainly not be returning to Clent Hills.

I store my caravan here although I think the cost is over priced for what you get a rough patch of ground on a slope. I can only get at my caravan when a warden is about and no access at all during winter so I will be look elsewhere soon.
So the site not a bad site bit undulating so may need those blocks to get level. Staff seemed ok to me and the toilet block is good. I booked a hard standing but the gravel surface they use is horrible, totally unsuitable if you want to use an awning. It is made up of irregular sized sharp stones which need hob nail boots to walk on so stick to grass although these are mostly sloping.

We spent 4 nights in chilly April here. The site is in a lovely spot, 10 mins walk to the nearest Spa shop and 10 minutes drive to larger supermarkets. The pitches were slightly sloping (not a problem if you pitch the right way) but on the plus side the views were fantastic.
The facilities were clean and no queuing for the Showers. It was a pain that they were shut just before lunch for cleaning, mid afternoon would have been a better time.
The wardens were helpful and cheerful.
My only negative with this site is that Tents should be pitched nearer the toilets and not at the farthest point away.
All in all I think we would go back as the area is really lovely,

Great couple of nights camping here. Picked this site as it was close to home and, as such, offered a convenient first time camping experience for family who were joining us.
I was a little wary that a Camping and Caravan Club site may be a little 'precious' (bad experience in Cookley nearby) - I couldn't have been more wrong!
The staff were helpful and surprisingly (again, my preconceptions) helpful supplying maps and advice for local walks.
We were in a unit as a couple with two dogs and met up with in laws with 4 kids - play area was great for the kids and their jumbo pitch was huge.
A better dog walk area would have been welcome but this certainly wouldn't keep us away - the best bit was being back home on a Bank Holiday weekend within 20 minutes!

This is a lovely, quiet site; beautifully kept, and in a picturesque area.
Most placements are sloping, unless you go for hardstanding, which is so hard you have difficulty getting awning pegs in! They very kindly lent us some steel ones.
Facilities are spotless as you'd expect, but there are only 3 showers each, and the block is closed for cleaning between 1030am and 12pm each day.
Small shop sells uht milk, eggs and sweets, but there are nice shops/butchers in Romlsey.
Play area: very small - 1 baby swing, 1 normal swing, combined slide and climbing frame. It is worth noting no ball games / frisbees or kites allowed as there is no room
we found this out late in our stay and were told to stop playing and use the local park. If your kids enjoy ball games/kites and frisbee type games, this is not the site for you - we will not be going back, and I don't think Hubby will be re-enrolling in the not-so friendly club next year! Shame because we've never had this before. I think they need to be more specific in their site description, and then we would have chosen somewhere else.

A lovely secluded site surrounded by hills and woodland. Camped for a couple of nights to try out our new tent. The pitches are spacious and well placed. Lovely clean facilities and friendly on site staff.
Although the play area is small and no ball games are allowed on site the younger children are soon making friends and playing games such as tig and loved every minute of their stay. We also had badminton to keep us occupied which made up for no football.
It was nice to be close to the play area to keep an eye on things occasionally. Having so much fun the children played out til dark when one of the site managers very helpfully and tactfully sent them 'home' to their beds.
Ice blocks are available from the shop for 50p with a small deposit and although we opted for no electric hookup we managed to watch a couple of 30 min programmes with some power in the laptop and a camp wi fi card for £2. There's a small shop on site where you can purchase things like books, ice creams, drinks and a good selection of sweets for the children.
The shower blocks were very clean with separate cubicles with a private wash basin. There are only 3 showers in the ladies but there never seemed to be a queue. The block shuts between 10.30 and 12 each morning for cleaning.
Our second visit to the site, we had a lovely relaxing weekend and would definitely visit again. Listening to the sound of cows and sheep is such a peaceful way to fall asleep! Then there's the pleasure of waking up to birdsong. I did make the mistake of leaving a bag of rubbish out one night which birds were investigating in the early hours of one morning. I didn't leave it out the second night.
Having forgotten pans and having no bung for the airbed I had to improvise the first night. The following day I made a half hour drive into Selly Oak to a retail park and Halfords which sell spare bungs and caps in their very useful airbed repair kit. The site shop was also selling a few used items while we were there.

We stayed here for the first time at Easter and were pleasantly surprised that it was not too busy. We stayed here to visit family nearby and for us it was an excellent location.
Near enough to the West Mids and all its attractions such as the Black Country Museum and Cadbury World but still in a lovely peaceful countryside location.
We felt that the site was well managed and the facilities were very good. There was a small wooden playground that we asked to be pitched near as it was a good meeting place for our small daughter to make friends.
There were plenty of loos and showers and washbasin cubicles - all very modern and cleaned to a high standard.
The only gripe was that the shower block is closed at 10. 30am for a couple of hours, and my small daughter needed the loo at this time. They do have a second block but this is only made available for the 6 week summer season.
There is one disabled loo to be used when they are cleaning, but as the cleaning lady explained, there is also a shower in there, and so people can be a while, with a queue forming. Eventually the cleaner relented and let my daughter use the loo - after we had waited about 15 minutes.
Recommended also is The Sun pub nearly - very child friendly and very good value food.

Have just spent three nights at this campsite. Very easy to find, but don't follow Sat Nav instructions to go up Dark Lane as it is very narrow! Nice welcome and shown to pitch. Pitch types varied, some grass, some hard standing, some level some not.
Basic shop on site but lovely butchers and local shops with home produce. I must recommend the black pudding sausages from the local butcher. They were delicious! Shower and toilet facilities good and clean but probably need updating.
We were pitched near the children's play area, and as we didn't have young children with us, found it a bit noisy at times, but would remember to ask for a pitch further away another time.It certainly wouldn't put us off booking again.
A must is a visit to the Black Country Museum, it was brilliant, and you must try the fish and chips! Look forward to a return visit.

If you are looking for a quiet, secluded country location with a view then look no further. There is NO road noise at all. This is our favourite site of all. We live just 20 minutes away but could be anywhere in the country, so visit as often as we can.
There is a good sized facilities block, with dishwashing and laundry facilities. Childrens play area is on the small side but seems adequate. Some pitches are sloping but blocks are available. There is a small provisions shop and a good tourist information point. Details of local walks are available from reception. Site staff are very helpful. TV signal is poor but mobile signal is fine.
A good pub 15 minutes walk away is The Sun - a 2 for 1 pub with a superb outdoor terrace and small children's play area. Newsagents and well stocked provisions shop nearby, along with a butchers. There is a decent Indian restaurant in Clent village itself.
