Nice and compact site. We stayed for 4 nights, having to cut short our stay as the rain only stopped for one day and our tent was about to give in on us. Good drainage on site though considering the amount of rain we had. The staff were very friendly and helped us with the local area and information. Toilet block great, lots of sinks and toilets, only 3 showers which I thought was going to be a problem but there was never a queue. Dishwashing facilities nice and clean, could have done with a couple more sinks. Site in a good location for all attractions and shops, large Morrisons 5 minutes off site. We visited Cadbury World, which was great for the kids and for adults, well worth the money and we got the day out of it. Playground good although not huge, and tucked into a corner away from most pitches. Overall good site, and would visit again.

We stopped here in May 2007 for a long weekend. It is a perfect site, the shower blocks are fantastic and the camping field is spotless. No cars are allowed on site after 11pm so you won't get woken up by car doors slamming. If you do arrive back at the site after this time there is a car park by the entrance where you can park for the night. There is a security barrier at the entrance. The staff are very friendly and will always help you. They sell essentials in the reception room such as milk etc There is a little village 15 minutes walk away where there is a shop and a lovely pub. Perfect for walking and cycling around the Clent Hills. Book early if you intend go stay there over a bank holiday though as it fills up very quick.

Bought a tent from ebay in this area, and went straight there to test it for the night- we called the site a few days before- to see if they had room for us, and they said they were fully booked, but would make space for us. Pippa and Ben (both 4) loved the play area and made some new friends. We heard 3 different types of Owl during the night, Toilets and showers- as always with c&cc sites - were clean and well cared for. They have giant Jenga and a large chess set for use- books and necessities- eg ice cream in the shop- and an information room with leaflets of where to go. A Pub called the Swan at Blakedown (Banks Brewery) was very welcoming - and had a bouncy castle and play area for the kids. And the Dog enjoyed some of the best views in the Country on the Clent hills (NT). Despite being so close to Urbanisation, it was heavenly, rural and we have broken the dog and the kids! PS take some hard ground tent pegs!

July 2005 We are regulars at this site and always have a great time there. Wardens are extremely helpful (but I'm sure I heard that this is their last season here and someone else will be taking over). Clean facilities, basic supplies at the shop/reception, hook ups, small playarea, good information room with leaflets/maps,etc. Lovely pub down the road from there in Romsley village called The Sun. Nice meals and a play area for the kids. Also good little mini mart shop practically opposite the pub. Excellent carboot sale just further along the road from The Sun on a Sunday and also a good one on a Saturday at Wassell Grove (approx. 2 miles away). The site also does caravan storage too.

July 2005 This site is perfect for al. Clean toilets, friendly staff, good playground for kids. Problem with shop as it is only small and only open in the morning for an hour and afternoon for hour and half. However as it is close to nearby towns with a village and shops just 1 1/2 mile down the road this solves the problem. Ground does slope. Mainly used for caravans and motorhomes although there are tents and trailer tents at peak seasons. On the whole a very quiet, peaceful and pretty site and a must to visit for a rest.

July 2005 Have just spent a weekend here, what a lovely site, and the wardens are super, so friendly, nothing too much trouble, very welcoming. A short walk takes you into the hills, the views are marvellous, there is a small cafe to get a cup of tea etc. Another short walk takes you into the village of Romsley, where there is the local shops and 2 pubs who serve great food. No need to use the car, unless you want to go further afield, we found it very peaceful and relaxing and intend to make it our weekend hideaway!

Regular always July We have always found this to be a friendly site. There are many caravans but it is used for trailer tents and tents in general. Some of the site slopes steeply but there are level areas for camping. The Facilities are up to the standard of the Camping and Caravanning Club UK. The main attraction for us is that it is near the Motorways M6, M5, M42, so is good for an overnight stop whilst travelling.
