The site was really great, we had a warm, friendly greeting and was showed to our pitch, which was nearly level and hard standing. It was very quiet, you wouldn't believe it to be so close to Halesowen
It had lovely views, woken to birds singing, we could have been anywhere. It was a place to chill or very close to places of interest such as The Black country museum, which is a must. Really didn't have enough time to explore so I'm sure we would go back some day.

Just returned from 3 nights at this site. Just me and my wife.
The site is just outside Birmingham but like they say you feel like you are in the middle of the countryside.
The staff are very friendly and helpful but one thing that baffled me is why they site you on the steepest slope on the site when there are flatter areas around the edges. Many people commented on this.
My wife said I should have asked to be sited on the flat parts but not having been there before I just did as I was told. When you arrive and pay etc. It's a case of 'Right follow me' and you just go. You get the impression that where you are put is not up for discussion. So be prepared to asks.
The sloping bit is very sloping so much so that they have a trailer with bricks etc. By the entrance to assist. You might have to use bricks as your jockey wheel might not lift up the caravan high enough to level it.
Toilet bloke very clean and showers nice and hot.
We used the Sun pub about a mile away for meals (two for one but choose of menu not specials board and you'll save a fortune as they are almost the same meals). Bitter £2.25 a pint.
Nice walks around there around Clent Hills. If you use pushbikes there are some steep hills.
If you walk to the pub take a flashlight.
Would go there again but would ask for a flat part of the field.

We went for a weekend to this site as its quite close to home and just wanted to relax. The site itself is quite prettily situated with good facilities.
The only comment I would have is beware of groups with gazebos. Unusually for CCC sites, we were kept awake until the early hours by adults drinking and chatting and this has put us off going again.

My family (2 adults/3 small children) stayed at Clent during the last Bank Holiday weekend in May 2009. The weather was quite nice, mainly sunny!
This site is not the largest of sites but, pitches were fairly spread out so you did not feel you were on top of each other. We were picthed at the bottom of the site where it was quite flat, a large majority of the site is on a hill.
There is one 'main' toilet/shower block, which did not feel as clean as other sites we have been to and also felt small. (there is another small toilet block by reception) Even though it was a busy Bank Holiday weekend there were not significant queues for the showers, but I suspect we were lucky with timing as we left showers until late morning. (only 3 showers)
The children's play area is small but ok - we walked into Romsley (10 minutes) to a large playground/park (swings / climbing frames etc) The kids loved it and it made the short work very worth while. The Sun pub (suppose to be wort a visit but we ran out of time) is just down the road along with some shops, including a corner shop selling everything you would need.
We had no trouble with the site's staff - seemed fine and friendly to us. The shop is small but sells ice creams (kept the kids happy!) and local goods like bacon (kept daddy happy!)
We had a very nice stay at this site and would return again.

Had a week here during a warm Whitsun 2009.
Positives:
Initial impressions were of a clean camp, set in beautiful surroundings, with a clean toilet block.
Negatives:
However, regarding facilities for children, I believe that the playground is very small (can be very difficult for children to get on the facilities during a busy period), and no playing field for older boys eg. for playing cricket or football. In addition, the site management are a bit petty, and tend to get on children's / families cases for playing football and other ball games in the site. Therefore, I would suggest that the playground facilities are expanded, and ideally put aside an area for ball games.
In addition, although they possessed copies of appropriate maps regarding walks in the local area, they did not appear knowledgeable and could offer little guidance. I would suggest that site management go on a few walks in the local area so they are more familiar with the walk leaflets that they offer.
Finally, although there was a shop on site, it didn't have much in stock, and staff overall could have been a little friendlier.

This was our first time at Clent. It is a lovely site about 15 miles from Birmingham.
The toilet facilities were nice and clean and there was a very small play area.
The owners were very friendly too.
You will probably need to use chocks whilst you are there, as some of the pitches are sloping.
The Sun pub in Romsley is very good - with 2 for 1 meals all day, everyday.
If you like history, Harvington Hall is fabulous and not too far away is Webbs garden centre and Barnetts Hill garden centre.
We will definitely return again soon.

A lovely site, ideal for any family. There is a shop on site along with a splendid shower/toilet block. The staff are helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hills are great for walking and there is even a place where one can buy hot sandwiches. The only downside to our time there was leaving as it was a pure joy.

We booked this site as a last minute birthday present for my daughter. Being completely new to camping we chose this campsite because it had good reviews and was only 20mins from home.
The campsite was clean and, although full, we had a lovely pitch near a tree with plenty of space. Our pitch was soft but big enough for us to find a level place for our large 10 man tent. The reception was able to provide us with maps of local walks and we enjoyed a 4 mile walk through the hills, seeing rabbits and getting covered in mud. The toilet and washing facilities were clean and well maintained, and I never saw queues or anyone waiting.
There was a small playground for the children, a climbing frame, slide and some swings and, although small, kept our 2 busy and making new friends while we made supper. The playground is quite noisy but this died down about 10pm.
The only, and very minor thing was that we only wanted to book for 1 night, but there is a minimum of 2 nights stay in high season. Otherwise would thoroughly recommend this site as well maintained, with friendly and accommodating staff, set in beautiful countryside. A place to relax and watch the sun go down over the Clent Hills

Last weekend of the season, I'd say the best weekend of the season! The site gets very boggy at the bottom of the field in wet weather but if you have a caravan unit and don't mind using chocks, putting your van on a slant, you can stay on dryer ground with beautiful views. The toilets are very clean and are maintained from 1030hrs - 1200hrs daily (they are closed during this period).
This weekend was a Halloween weekend. Every one dressed their units up with lights and pumpkins. The staff took the children Trick or Treating (only to vans that were willing participants by advertising the fact by a sign in the window whilst other vans were left well alone).
Hot dogs were served up until about 1930hrs and a skeleton hunt arranged for the children on the Sunday A.M.
The staff on this site are very friendly!

I stayed at this site for the weekend with my wife and two daughters aged 5 & 9. All 4 of us loved it, the site is surrounded by the lovely Romsley hills which was a great start to the stay, The toilets are of a good size and extremely clean and well maintained, there is a chemical disposal room and also a laundry and dishwashing room adjoining the toilet and shower block. There is also a kiddies park on the site but it's extremely small and can hardly be classed as such.
The staff were always friendly, courteous and on the ball with site management duties.
The shop was a little disappointing as it was very small with a limited amount of stock mainly eggs, bread, milk and kiddies sweets.
All in all this is probably one of the most beautiful picturesque sites that I've visited. We'll definitely be going again.
