I can honestly say apart from chatsworth(near home), which

Is joint 1st, this is the best yet. We've visited so many 4-5 star that we've lost count however this tops them. We're still here actually pitch 66, just felt impelled to write given a couple of surprising tent reviews, think they've visited another site or something, the staff are so friendly, honestly they couldn't do more. The showers and toilets are IMMACULATE, omg it's so tranquil if you need to destress this is it ! The owners work so hard to maintain the gardens, it's a credit. The best info centre we've come across, massive pitches, fresh bread and fish to pre order (gorgeous), come on, it's first class. The approach is narrow to say the least but we've never met ant traffic coming the other way. All in all we are absolutely gutted to be going home Saturday :( we will be back !

We can only confirm that the vast majority of previous reviews have already said. Its a fabulous site with excellent facilities and well positioned to tour around the Roseland. We would definitely use this site again. Care must be taken on both entry to and exit from the site but its only a short run and we didn`t have any issues with either.

What a fantastic site. We came across this by total chance and we will definitely be visiting again.

The site is immaculate, well maintained pitches which are separated by small hedges making it very private. The toilet block and showers are first class, very modern and always kept beautifully clean no matter how busy the site is.

The launderette was very useful with two 'adventurous' children. The dishwashing room was a god-send for anyone staying in a tent and with hot water on tap any time day or night you couldn't want for more. The park shop was always well stocked and a fair price. And the children's play area was great.

You can tell this is a family concern as they can't do enough for you, a warm welcome started our stay off and it continued this way throughout our entire stay.

This site is perfectly located for visiting St Mawes, which is lovely. A top class site and one we will visit again. Thank you for a great vacation.

Stayed at this wonderful site 2 years ago.

Amazing location great for the grandchildren.

What more could you want in the great outdoors.

Made to feel welcome the dog was not a problem, made to feel welcome,

Staff friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

What an absolutely fantastic site, in a stunningly beautiful area, I honestly could not fault anything; well laid out generous pitches, that are kept immaculate, spotlessly clean toilets, showers, laundry and dishwashing area. Great dog walking area. Tried the visiting fish & chip van, pizza man and the fishmonger. All of which I can highly recommend.

Night times are great, no traffic noise - just the owls!

I would not hesitate to recommend this site to anyone who enjoys a relaxed and peaceful campsite. Perfect!

Just stayed at this lovely site. What a find really big pitches and most with hedges between which gives privacy which we like. The dog walk is one of the best we have seen just a shame some people still don't pick up. All the facilities are 1st class and spotlessly clean all the time. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. Pizza van comes on Friday evenings very nice. The fish and chips van comes on Wed and Sat evenings. Will certainly return.

Our choice for the last part of our Cornish holiday. And what a great choice for most aspects. The whole appearance is superlative, new bathrooms are amazing & our dogs were in 7th heaven on the best dog walk we have ever found. Friday evening pizza was brilliant. As per other reviews caution is definitely needed on the approach lane.

But please be aware that the pitches are far from level. We had an all weather pitch and it was completely impossible to get our 7 metre motorhome level. Even up to the max point on our levelling blocks we were still well out and just had to put up with it. A move to another pitch was enquired about but unfortunately not available and to be honest on looking round the vast majority of pitches are the same whether it be front to back or side to side. It is such a shame as apart from that fundamental point everything is immaculate and it looked as if it would be a fairly simple task to correct this problem. Possibly the site is more geared up to caravans as we did notice a stockpile of blocks that could be used for jacking up caravan supports.

We probably won't be back in Cornwall in the near future again as we tend to go to different areas but as very experienced motorhomers we would not return here because of the pitching problems.

We spent 3 nights on this stunningly beautiful and peaceful site for the long May Day Bank Holiday weekend. It was a return visit for us but it had been a few years since our last visit.

The approach lane to the site needs caution and can feel slightly 'hairy' BUT we're nearly 25' long and OH had no problems with it at all (it was just me panicking!).

Best welcome from any campsite owners ever, nothing was a problem. We asked to be pitched near our friends who were arriving later and were offered 3 lots of 2 pitches together. Our hardstanding pitch was large and private and water was just opposite.

There are plenty of toilets and showers for the size of the site and the new shower rooms (of which there are 3) are stunning, c/w shower, sink, toilet, hand drier and hair drier. These are accessed via keycode. Indoor washing up area and spotless recycle area. Great dog walk (although we no longer have our dog we still walked around it!) with poo bin and hand sanitiser so no excuses folks! Small shop containing most essentials, including local ales and ciders as they are licensed. Daily newspapers can be ordered (and paid for) the day before, as can fresh bread, which is delivered to the site from the local bakery. Neither available on Sundays. Information room was full of good ideas, maps, bus and boat timetables, etc. , very useful indeed. There's a play park and football pitch for kids too. No Vodafone signal or 3G (bonus) but EE was good. Wi-Fi is availabe on site at a cost.

Various food waggons visit the site. A woodfired pizza waggon was there on the Friday night and a fish & chip waggon on the Saturday (we didn't use either but the size of the queue each night tells its own story!). I believe a fresh fish waggon visits once a week too!

The site is miles away from pubs, shops, etc. , but that's the beauty of the place. We biked twice around the small country lanes on the Roseland peninsular and hardly met a car. We also walked to St Mawes and back via the lovely church on the creek at St Just in Roseland. We ate in the Plume of Feathers in Portscathough (Sunday lunch - HIGHLY recommended) and the Royal Standard in Gerrans, both very good.

There are no improvements that can be made on this site, it really is stunning. Keep doing what you're doing Trethem Mill and we'll be back in 2015.

Just returned today from a fantastic site. There is absolutely nothing that we could fault about this site, we will be returning again next Easter for sure. The site is beautiful, clean, spacious and quiet. We have 2 children, an eight year old and a four year old. The site has a play park and games field that it just right for our two, and I would say for children up to 12 or 13 years of age. The site does not allow bikes or scooters, and this makes for an incredibly peaceful environment, just our cup of tea. Toilet blocks are very well kept and the family rooms even have heated mirrors so they don't steam up! The shop is fine, stocking all the usual items you would expect and didn't seem to be over priced. Site is ideally located for St Mawes and is very close to the King Harry Ferry which will take you over the river to Trelisick gardens and Falmouth and Truro beyond. There are also loads of lovely beaches within a short drive away. The owner also fixed our daughters broken glasses with super glue! Many thanks. One thing- be prepared for the road up to the site as it is narrow, but we have a big caravan and we made it up and down ok, I just know that it is nice to know these things before you arrive just so you can be mentally prepared! Enjoy it.

Lovely, well laid out site, very clean with a lovely dog walk. The shower block was very clean with plentiful hot water and thankfully more than one hook in the cubicles, there is also the added bonus of some rooms which have a key code and contain a toilet, wash hand basin, shower and everything else you could want. The area is extremely interesting and good for touring. Fish and chip visiting is a real bonus and they are really good.
