We loved it so much here we've now got a seasonal pitch!
This was our second visit this year having been twice last year.
The site has friendly and helpful staff, heated outdoor pool, a children's club in the afternoons 3 to 5 pm during school summer holidays
Also what my daughter particularly liked animal feeding weekdays at 4.30 .
The shop charges reasonable prices.
Shower and bathrooms are clean.
Good value for money.
Lovely walks around the lakes ideal for our dogs.
The only disappointing thing is( as we will have to move our pitch to the house or main field but are ok next year they have just been granted planning permission for lodges which will be build in3 fields if I remember correctly (hayfield, upper and lower donkey) together with more fishing lakes to make a better nature reserve .
This is a ten year plan.
Cahayes beach is 5 miles a way well worth a visit and dog can go too there !

Excellent site. Good facilities and a heated pool. A useful, well stocked on site shop and friendly staff. An excellent open play area with football nets and some swings etc. Nicely located near the city of Truro which has reasonable parking and a good area. We ended up in a closed off area which had approx 8 pitches and meant that there was only one exit for our toddler.

Just returned from Trencreek this afternoon, we chose this site at the very last minute as some of the more local ones to us were already full and this was a last minute trip. So didn't really check the website other than to find out if it had a pool. When we arrived the greeting was very friendly and the price, compared to others in Cornwall, was excellent (We paid £20.50 per night for 5 of us). The pitches are a REALLY good size, we were allocated our pitch, but if you have been there before and know where you want to stay you can pre-book. (We were on the 'Hayfield'). There is a lovely big playground area in this field and a huge field area for games, kite flying etc. We were pleasantly surprised when we found out there was a kids club for 5 - 12 year olds, our 8 year old had a great time, and got to name a baby rabbit! There are animals scattered around, which you got to feed at 4.30pm if you wanted. The shower blocks were slightly dated, but the showers were great ( no push button! ) turn on and leave on as long as you liked! And the blocks were regularly and thoroughly cleaned. We did try the restaurant on our last evening, and again were very pleasantly surprised, very good sized meal, cooked and presented very well indeed. My husband and son 'had a go' at fishing on the lakes while we were here, you could hire all the equipment you need from the site shop ( which is well stocked with all the things you would need generally also). There is also a lovely walk around the lakes even if you didn't want to fish in them. All the children liked the swimming pool, which was warm, clean and had plenty of seating around. The site is in an ideal location for visiting any parts of Cornwall easily. And the local supermarket is a 5 minute drive away. We will definitely be visiting this site again!

Just got back from a week stay at this site. What a lovely site. We were in a motorhome and had a hard standing with electric hook up. Tremendous value as a special offer for the week cost us £74! The site is a great plus for the kids with the various animals here. Four small lakes at the bottom of the park with plenty of fish in them and a lovely walk around there too. Toilet facilities were excellent but unfortunately you still get some kids messing them up a bit. Nevertheless they were usually spotless. The new block has individual cubicles which are excellent. There is a small shop on site which caters for most of your needs although there is no frozen food section. (Asda is about 4 miles away and there is a nice Co op slightly nearer if you need more shopping) The pub is only open limited hours and wasn't open during the afternoon but is small and cosy. Nice selection of food and the meals we had were very nice and not too dear with house wine at £7.20 a bottle and a lager and beer on tap. A good take away just outside too! The pool was warm and our son used it most days without any complaints. There is a nice area to relax around the pool too. Also on site is a tots room and a games room for the older ones so plenty to do for the kids. All in all a great break with tremendous value for touring. Just a final note to say that the staff were very helpful and nice to talk with. We will be returning in the future.

2nd visit to this site and enjoyed it more than the first time. This place is so relaxing with lots to do and keep the kids occupied. The layout is great and very spacious, on the main field the kids playground is in the middle with units around the side and you can just sit and relax and still see the kids. Heated pool is great, fishing lakes fantastic, brill farm animals, nice beer in the bar. Surrounding area is fab with most attractions within 1 hour drive there are also some great beaches and coves and little harbour villages nearby. All in all a great site just right for families, and after 10pm it goes really quiet.

July 2004 We took advantage of the off peak deal - very please with the cost of the pitch. However the cleanliness of the site left a bit to be desired, and despite the promise of hair dryers and washing machines they were in various states of dis-repair!
They seriously need to upgrade their toilet blocks and get more hairdryers, better hand dryers. The blocks were sluced out with water and bleach daily, however the dirt and grass was not cleaned away. We felt there was a serious lack of toilet facilities for a site of that size.

We loved it ! Our first ever camping trip. Spacious, clean and loads to do. On the day it rained we had a lovely lunch as Hewas Inn, just down the road. Children ( and mum ) lived in the heated pool. The animals entertained our youngest and play facilities for children were great, with so much to do it was an amazingly relaxing site. As soon as we got back we were planning our next trip to Trencreek.

My family and I spent five days here and found this to be a super place with clean modern facilities and a nice play area for the kids. The pitch sizes were huge and there is a lot of room around the site. The staff were all lovely and my children loved the animals. The pool area is well kept and clean and the pool itself is spotless and well heated ( a must in a british summer) All in all I can give this site a big thumbs up and will certainly return in the future.

Superb site, unfortunately the weather wasn't so superb! The pitches are all good size, the staff friendly and helpful and plenty of info on what to do in the surrounding area. The shower blocks were like mini en-suite bathrooms - never seen anything quite so good! The pool was lovely and warm, even in the cooler evenings and the kids loved it. Good site for exploring Cornwall and easy to find. Would definitely recommend.

This site was excellent. It wasn't very lively but it made a nice change when you live in a busy town. It wasn't to far from places of interest such as the Eden project. The facilities were very good and the staff very pleasent. The children really enjoyed it as they could go to the park themselves and we could exercise our dog on a field only a short distance away.
