What a bargain find this site was. As we travelled down from Scotland we were in the final two weeks of the off peak and were able to take advantage of their off peak rates.

The on site take away is rather expensive but a nice change once in a while. We were situated in the lower donkey field which ment a walk through the donkey field to the toilet block, no fun during the night - they could do with another block in that field. Main gripe was the lack of hairdryers! They were broken half the time!

Overall though, I'd recommend the site, they have just been bought over and are advertising changes being made. Very central and well placed to visit the whole of Cornwall.

A 15 yr old's review!

We came back to Trencreek for our holiday this year after enjoying last year at Trencreek.
We were put in a different field this time, which was just as spacious and peaceful. There was a large play area right in the middle of the field, which more than enough space around for ball games etc. A reasonably level, speacious pitch too.
There was a kids club from 9 - 10am and 4- 5 pm and various activities such as an entertainer on different days. It was good for younger kids. The very reasonable shop & takeaway prices are still in place!
The pool is nice and warm but the kids paddling pool isn't heated so is hardly used.
The staff are just as friendly and chatty as ever, which is really nice and welcoming.
Toilets and showers were clean, but there were a couple of problems with the showers during our stay but they were sorted out quickly.

This is a beautifully quiet campsite in the heart of the cornish countryside. All of the generous pitches are set round the edges of several large fields, making it feel extremely spacious, and giving plenty of room for the kids to play in the middle. There are electric hook ups available, and shower blocks in each field (20p for 6 mins - I'd pay double to avoid being caught out covered in bubbles!). There are also numerous laundry facilities, an iron if you really can't bear the camping creases, and a bath for the toddlers (50p for kids and £1 for adults). The showers and toilets were kept scrupulously clean by the friendly staff.

We didn't see our kids (aged 9 and 7) all week due to all the great play areas and the swimming pool! The pool area is a bit tired looking( as are several areas on the site), but it is heated and clean - and the kids loved it. They also put on activities for the kids in high season.
There are lakes a few minutes walk from the campsite, with fishing available, although I can't comment on this as I don't fish! There were plenty of happy looking blokes there with their rods though!

There is a well stocked shop and a really good little takeaway, which turns into a bistro 3 times a week. With no arcades and a small bar which opens until ten, this is a really great site. One word of warning - make sure you barracade your tent when you go out, as the wandering sheep are extremely cunning and managed to raid ours!

A kids veiw on trencreek farm holiday park! =)

I found this campsite to be very spacious and quite quiet. Although there wasn't a club, things such as discos and magic shows were held in the barn. There was also a church meeting on sundays. I didn't go but it sounded like everyone had fun there!
I found the pool very small and a little boring, although on the plus side you can take in inflatables (within reason). The main pool was quite deep, bu there was also a little paddling pool for younger children. The pool water was also nice and warm.
The staff at Trencreek were very friendly and chatty, the take away was excellent (I recommend the pizzas!!) and the toilets were also quite nice, although maybe not as clean as I would have liked, sometimes. The showers were powerful and nice and easy to use, but remember to take your 20p for it!
I would go back to Trencreek Farm Holiday park because in all it was a very good campsite.

I was there with my family (wife, 10yr old & 7yr old)for our 6th annual 'Trencreek holiday' in June. Pot-bellied pigs, goats, sheep. chicken etc were all regular visitors to our caravan. Shop was well stocked and open when it was meant to be as was reception, grass was cut, and we really enjoyed several mornings in the (very warm!)pool. Don't know if Kim just a week when bad weather affected things, but if you haven't been before I'd still recommend Trencreek as a great site for a safe, family holiday. We're definitely going back again!
