Lovely location, so close to Drayton Manor. The family bathroom was great and they had just started work on the play park whilst we were there, so should hopefully be up and running soon.
Tamworth castle grounds are a worth a visit, had a nice adventure playground for kids up to 12 and walks with nice picnic areas.
We also used Wagtails in Tamworth to look after our dog for the day only £12 and he had some lovely walks, would definitely recommend Scott and he was only half a mile up the road.

Lovely site, it was heavy rain but the field held up well, we only stayed one night, but we will come back, there wasn't any sign of a play area yet.
Plenty of showers and a large family room, with a baby bath. There are facilities, such as a bar within the park area but we didn't use them.
A gentleman I was talking to said you get reduced prices for the theme park, but I haven't looked into this. Nice good size pitches, easy to manoeuvre.
The park is barrier controlled, and the site is secluded. Altogether a really nice and we will return. The web site says there are plans for a play area

Whilst I understand this site has existed for sometime it has for the 2012 season become a Club site of the Camping & Caravanning Club and it is clear to see their influence and impact.
The site is situated at the back of the Drayton Manor complex. Although you can see a couple of the more hair raising rides protruding above the tree line the site is secluded and self contained. It is accessed by a security barrier and there is a new reception area with a small shop. Staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout our stay, giving us a choice and recommendation of pitch and providing advice on the local area (directing us not just to the large nearby Asda when we needed a new air bed, but telling us which aisle of the store we needed!). Staff were regularly seen around site and genuinely seemed to enjoy their job.
The field itself is currently a little open, but there is evidence of trees and shrubbery being planted which will obviously mature over time. Pitches are flat and well maintained. There had been heavy rain in the days before our visit but the pitches were still in good condition and well drained, although the field away from the pitching area was boggier. I believe a playground was to be installed during 2012, but the warden was keen to point out an area where children could play ball games etc. It was also stressed that children were free to play and run around generally, which is in contrast to the impression sometimes given by C&CC sites. The facilities block was newly built with copious toilets and showers, local information and washing up sinks – all were well kept. The site was very peaceful and quiet on a night.
The theme park is obviously a major draw to this site and is within easy strolling distance. This caters for all ages from toddlers upwards but see if you can get vouchers for reduced prices as it is quite expensive. Immediately outside the theme park, Drayton Manor also have a Grill bar/restaurant and a hotel also with a restaurant. We didn’t try these but were given a discount card for the hotel restaurant from the site. We tried a pub a couple of miles away called The Tame Otter – this was very good in terms of food, service and location.
My main quibble would be with C&CC prices, but this is the same at all Club sites not just here and if I wasn’t a member I would be reluctant to pay the site fee and the non members supplement. However I’m sure we will return next year as the site is good and the children love the Theme Park. Whilst everyone thinks of Theme Park there are also a range of other attractions nearby, so we may well stay longer than the weekend of this visit.

Last visited this site four years ago and although it's a brand new site, what a difference there is. this is a well laid out site with excellent hard standings.
The toilet block is big with large shower cubicles plenty of toilets and as you'd expect from a club site, spotlessly clean.
The wardens where most helpful and pleasant which to me after a journey you don't want someone reading you the riot act just when you get there.
There's been a lot of planting which, when it starts to mature, should be a very pleasant site to visit. Shall return again I'm sure

Had a wonderful visit here the change from when we last went to Drayton Manor is amazing.
As said before the site has only just opened after being taken over by the Camping and Caravan Club.
The toilet block is the best that I have seen on a campsite very clean with plenty of hot water.
Plenty of hard standing pitches and loads of room for tents and those that would rather be on grass.
Whilst we were there the office went from just being opened to a well run shop and office with plenty of essentials available.
The Wardens and assistant wardens are very helpful and go out of their way to assist.
I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of noise from Drayton Manor as I was worried that it would be far too noisy and drive me mad which it didn't.
Plants and flowers are slowly appearing and a play park will be appearing in the near future along with a couple of strip wash cubicles in the toilet blocks.
Can't wait to return ans it's a great site in a great location for plenty of things other than Drayton Manor Park.

Stayed here 4th April. Has been taken over by The Caravan & Camping Club and had only been open for a couple of days so not entirely finished, in that the office was not open, so everything was being run from the wardens caravan awning and the kitchen area was still being painted.
However the showers and toilets were up to the C&CC usual high standard and the staff were extremely helpful.
We used this site as a stopover so didn't go into the theme park which is right on the doorstep.
Would recommend this site.

Just came back after 4 night visit, was originally booked on for 3 nights but due to poor weather decided to stay an extra night so not towing caravan in poor conditions.
Staff were very accommodating and helpful. The site is nearly finished and we did have electric hook up. As others have said the shower block was fab.
My 4 year old loved staying that close to his favourite place on earth - Thomas land. There appeared nowhere to visit apart from Drayton manor (and it's pub the grill) on foot.
There did not appear to be any walks close to the site. Nearby there is Tamworth with its shops etc. I would recommend a visit to the Snow Dome where we had great fun playing in the snow.
There was no shop but it was being set up so will prob be available very soon.
I will be returning to visit Drayton Manor again soon.

There site was not quite finished when we were here. There were no electric hook ups but we managed fine with a power pack/ inverter. Quite a bit of generator noise from other units.
The showers/ toilets and dishwashing area were spacious clean and lots of 'em!
The site was ideally located for the purpose of visiting Drayton Manor. I guess there's a rapid turn around of people, so not much 'heart' to the site.
The canals in the surrounding area looked lovely!
There's a Co-op in the nearest village (left turn out, 3 mins)and pub, Indian restaurant

Visited here because we were going to the theme park. I have to admit that there isn't much on site. No EHU etc. However it has the most modern toilet shower area I have experienced at a campsite. The showers were well laid out so you didn't soak your clothes when showering. They were also cleaned regularly. One toilet in the ladies did flood but maintenance came out later and resolved the problem.
I thought the site was good value for money and provided hassle free access to the park on time.
The ground at the campsite was really hard and I had to use a screwdriver to make a pilot hole for the tent pegs to go into as they were just bending. Remember your mallet!

Stayed here for 3 nights at start of July with Hubby and 4 year old. Also stayed last year and this time it was the 'new' campsite.
They've moved it next to a carpark at entrance 2.
I'll be honest, its not finished yet, there was no EHU at the start of July there may be now.
It wasn't busy when we went and cost £15 per night regardless of the number in your party. It has one big toilet/shower block which was immaculate and very modern. Showers were great and it was cleaned daily by a team. It had 2 fresh water points and an elsan point.
Thats it! Essentially I must admit it looks like a car park because it is laid out exactly like the coach park its next to. It is also on a slight slope which we though unusual for a new campsite. You can see where the diggers have pushed the ground flat to create the space but not even. The ground was solid too, don't know if it was lack of rain or if it had been flattened by all the diggers that had made it (there were a lot of tracks)We couldn't get our pegs fully into the ground. Nothing near the campsite, you need a car to go into the town for the neares shop. There was a pub at the main gate but I think it didn't allow kids in it and to be fair its a good walk uphill from the campsite.
Another gripe was that entrance 2 wasn't open so we had to walk all the way up the hill to the main gate. And on the day we were leaving we had to wait 20 mins in the car to get out of the campsite because all the coaches were being directed down the one track road toward us thus blocking the exit.
Im hoping that because the site is clearly not finished there will be improvements made soon.(bit cheeky taking full price we thought)
Having said the above, we would still go back because its handy for the park.
