This is a fantastic campsite! It is situated right next to the beach, just a short walk round to get down to it.
The toilet & shower block was impeccably clean and the shop was well stocked with all the camping favs.
I would recommend this campsite to anyone :) Only downside on reflection was the terrible road that leads down to the entrance, pothole crazy! and its not very close to the town for walking in, not that you would want to go into Folkestone much, it wasn't our cuppa tea! Glad to go back to a picturesque campsite at the end of the day.

Very happy with our stay here, the beach was great with lots to interest children. The site was well kept and although tents were a bit crammed in it all worked well. Apart from the campsite there is almost no parking near the beach so on a hot summers day there was still lots of room for everyone, even for ball games.
Plenty of large shops within a few minutes drive but for daily items the site shop was well stocked. A good road through the site with a huge supply of chalk meant the kids all played together drawing on the road and riding scooters around, as it's a small site the road is quiet and all the motorhomes are put by the entrance.
Without beach days this site might feel claustrophobic so I'm not sure about going there out of season but we'll definitely be going back at some point.
Not so good bits:
The local town isn't great but the site is remote enough not to be affected. The grass was well kept but not all that even so we had a few tuna tins under table legs to even things up.

This is a lovely campsite. The approach road doesn't give a good first impression, being steep and covered in nasty potholes, but things look up on entering the gates and seeing the lovely views over the English Channel.
The wardens showed us a selection of pitches, and we chose one with a nice view through the trees.
The facility blocks were excellent, with the toilets well worth their five-star rating. During our week long stay, the sinks, showers and toilets were spotless each time we used them.
Also, we never had to wait for a shower.
The shop was well stocked with basic items and the wardens always seemed keen to open the shop if you wanted anything outside the normal opening hours - even if you only wanted to look at the weather forecast posted in the shop window!
The walk into Folkestone takes a around 45 minutes using the path leaving from the beach. There is no pub within short strolling distance.
Overall, this is an excellent site with some good walking and interesting places to visit within short driving distances.

We were recommended by a friend to visit this site for a weekend getaway.
Folkestone seemed like an odd place to visit. (no offence Folkestonians)
8 of us 4 adults 4 children and 4 dogs had a wonderfully relaxing weekend away.
A beautifully placed campsite, really amazing views. You literally feel like your on the edge of a cliff (in a good way).
A short walk down and your are on the seafront. About 30 mins walk into town for a nosey, otherwise ideal for scootering/biking/kite flying.
Very clean site with a lovely toilet block.
Lovely site would definitely visit again.

Spent Royal Wedding weekend at this lovely site.
There was 3 tents and 6 adults plus 4 teenage boys, we were grouped in 'The Warren' at the far end of the site without electric hook up.
The site is positioned on the cliff edge and overlooks the sea and beach, it can be very breezy when there are strong winds and is open to the elements. That said we had 25mph + winds but our vango Tigris survived!
We had a boat and Kayaks all able to be transported down to the beach by foot (there is a council gate which we had to lift the stuff over but there is foot access)
The toilets and showers are regularly cleaned although at our end there is only 2 showers, 2 sinks so there can be a queue first thing in the morning.
We didn't use the shop which looked basic and not very well stocked (to be expected for a small site)
Lastly, the road to the site is 'dodgy' and you need to be careful. We had two cars towing trailers and we were ok but bigger vehicles may struggle if you pass someone the other way.

Our absolutely favourite site! It is one of those rare sites where you can actually hear the sea from your pitch. The toilets and facilities are clean and well-run (it is a Camping and Caravanning Club site) and the wardens are helpful and friendly.
There are fossils on the beaches nearby and you can fish from the concrete apron just below the site.
If we have one criticism, it is the awful state of the approach road to the site, which we understand belongs to the railway and not to the Club. Vehicles (especially large motorhomes) need to be driven with great care to avoid the lumps and potholes. Also, they are unable to take caravans (possibly because of this poor road).
A brilliant site and we can't recommend it too strongly.

This site is in a lovely spot overlooking the sea and was very quiet during my lone vist of 5 nights. Usual CCC standards. No problem getting my Micra and tent down the road, but it was in a poor state so maybe tricky for a large van.
Barely noticed the trains and the walk along the beach/nature reserve was amazing. Pitches in groups not rows, and warden went to some trouble to fix me up somewhere I liked.
Don't know what it's like in poor weather, it was scorching when I went. Would recommend it to friends.I didn't see any rats.

Just back from a beautiful weekend at The Warren. Once again we were greeted by fantastic staff, helpful & friendly.
It was very busy this weekend, (we had 21 people between 6 units).
We were very pleased to note that the washrooms in the main part of the site closed for cleaning well after midday, very handy if you are packing up on a baking hot day and fancy freshening up before the drive home.
The wardens were round at about 11pm just to remind people of the 'quiet hours'.
Not sure if we will go back this summer, but this site will be visited annually methinks!

Just come back from a visit to this site, I was a bit apprehensive about visiting here as because of some of the previous comments (rats, noisy kids on the beach, the access road etc), I am so glad we went, what a wonderful site. We are a family of five, children are 5 years, 2 years and 11 months.
The access road is not that bad, we have a MPV and it was fine, maybe not so good for really large motorhomes. We were met by the wardens who were so helpful, I asked for a pitch away from the bulk of campers as we had a teething 11 month baby, they easily accommodated this even though it was a bank holiday weekend! The pitch we were on was large enough for our car and huge tent. Plenty of room.
The toilet facilities are spotless, they even have a family shower room with a baby bath, great for all of us to shower and bath the kids all together (not taking it in turns to go to showers with one child at a time!)
There really is nothing negative to say about the toilet blocks. One previous post mentioned rats, I didn't see any, the bin area are emptied constantly, about every hour every morning and evening (still empting them at 9.15pm!) All the wardens are very friendly and extremely hard working.
Site is situated virtually on the beach, easy access just outside the site, buggy friendly! It is mainly as stony beach but there is some sandy bits where the kids can make sand castles! You really are secluded here, not sure how walking teenagers would access this beach here (previous post about noisy kids on the beach) we were told it's a 40 min walk to Folkstone, we didn't experience noise.
I will definitely come back here again. I have no negative comments to add, this really is a friendly site. There is no play area but its not needed with the beach right at your feet, and the site is child friendly.

Nice site, what you would expect for C & C club site. Lovely walk in to Folkstone, along the beach. Good to see they have two sets of toilets / showers (very clean) so when one is shut for cleaning you still have the other in use!
You can really get away from it all as nothing is close by unless you like a good hike up a steep hill, or drive. So make sure you take every thing with you.
