Great site with friendly staff. Looks like it's had a lot of improvement work, particularly the amenity blocks which were spotless.
Some pitches next to the central roadway are a bit small, but there are larger ones elsewhere. But there are also secluded pitches for small tents on different levels.
Shop doesn't open until 9am unfortunately, but stocks the basics.
There's the constant sound of waves on the gravel beach below, especially during the night. This can be restful or really annoying, depending how well you sleep.
A huge thunderstorm one night left a very large puddle in the centre of the site, but the kids enyoyed cycling through it.
Folkestone hasn't got much going for it, but the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway and Dover Castle were great.

Echo all the good comments about this site. Friendly wardens who appeared always to be busy doing something. Toilets / showers spotless. A good mix of friendly campers / moterhomers on site, with quite a number continental visitors. As has been previously mentioned, not a lot for kids to do but they tended to make their own fun and I must say it made a pleasant change to watch kids enjoying themselves on a site without having to have everything laid on for them. A very nice site, which we would have no problems returning to.

This is a very scenic site set in the amongst the cliffs by the sea. It is accessed via a narrow track which may be a problem for some sports cars with low ground clearance.
The facilities were clean and the site staff were friendly and helpful. The ground on our lovely clifftop pitch was hard and gravelly so rock pegs are advisable.
We only stayed one night before our ferry crossing though it seems there's plenty to see and do if you want to stay longer. Dover was only 10 minutes away which was very handy for an early crossing.

C&C Club site in the Warren at Folkestone This is a typical C&C Club site for cleanliness and a peacefully stay. The mangers are good and friendly .the toilet blocks are kept locked but access in with a digital lock on the doors so no worry about forgetting your key. The Warren is just what it says there are rabbits and foxes every wear my wife fed the foxes a tin of dog meat for a few nights and we sat watching then eat right outside the window.bird life is also abundant .The beach is only 60 yards from the site gates and there is some first class works in the warren both Dover and Folkestone is walkable for the reasonably fit camper. If you go do not miss a trip to Rye a very beautifully old town. Folkstone its self is well worth exploring it as been a grand Victorian town in the past and you can still find some very interesting streets to explore. The site is not big but you have enough room if anyone complained I would say they were been a bit picky. Expect it to be very busy at weekends so if you are there for a longer stay arrive by 12 noon Friday or wait until 12noon Sunday When all the weekend campers have gone home. I can recommend this site

We spent may bank holiday weekend here. The site was full but we didn't feel crowded. There was no playpark for the children, but that didn't seem to bother the ones that were there. They all played happily enough. The beach was a stones throw away and we spent most of our time with our 5 yr old searching for "buried treasure". We had lots of walks along the beach and along the local nature reserve. We visited Folkestone on the sunday where they had a lovely farmers market on and also the Battle of Britain memorial. If you are brave enough to admire the view you can look down and see the campsite.Amazing views even over to France. There were only two toilet blocks but this didn't cause a problem to us,we showered in a quiet time, obviously not 1st thing in the morning! Lots of helpful staff about who were knew a lot of local history. It was lovely going to sleep listening to the sea and some of the non ehu pitches even had a seaview! We will definitely go back

Visited this site for weekend 22nd to 24th good points: clean , short walk to beach, clean toilets, helpful staff albeit just 2 to run the whole site. Bad points: small site and pitches rather small, does become crowded, no park for kids no ball games kites etc allowed, our main compliant was that there are 2 toilet / shower blocks one near the entrance one at the other end of the site we where situated at the bottom end of the site with 3 children and 5 adults , we hired a toilet key for £5 which you get back when you hand it in but when I went to take children to toilet they where locked due to being nearly end of season so we had to walk about approx 150 yards to toilet/shower block near entrance asked if I could have family room key only to be told if you clean it yes! well I was not happy as the site was very busy and the walk to the toilets was long especially at night. Really not a good site for children not a lot for them to do. Would not stay for longer than weekend if at all! again. p.s there where many others complaining about the toilet situation.

Stayed at this campsite on a lovely July weekend this year. The site was nice with several lovely sites overlooking the sea. The toilets and showers were nice and clean and there didn't seem to be too much of a queue for them. Folkestone itself is a little uninspiring (sorry residents of Folkestone!). It seems like it has seen better days. Although there were a few pubs to keep us entertained. All in all a good campsite with friendly, helpful staff but not sure I would be entertained enough to stay for much longer than a weekend. Have to say I'm a bit lazy though so if you like walking I'm sure you could keep yourself amused walking to Dover and such.

Lovely site and at the standard expected for a Camping And Caravanning Club Site. Although they say tents / campervans should be 6 metres apart pitching was closer than this around the site. Toilets and Showers - Very Clean but you could do with more when the site is busy. Has a single Family Room with Shower and baby-changing facilities of which you get a special key for (not sure how many keys they have). This was a bit annoying when they were cleaning the block in the afternoon and you can't use the main toilets because you don't have a key for them!. We ended going back to a standard key. Needed more washing up facilities as there were queues when it was busy. Nice being so close to beach but no facilities there . No play area for children on site. Shop well stocked and they will ask if you require papers the next day which was good. The staff were very helpful and always seemed to be milling around the site. Although they told you were the nearest recycling area was - it would not be difficult to just recycle glass and paper (hate throwing glass in main rubbish as our local council recycle everything so we get used to it). Also, it is very hit and miss whether your mobile gets a signal.

Tried this site on the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed. Site is of a small size but that just adds to its charm. The couple running the site were very friendly and welcoming. The site is at the bottom of a winding single track lane that is quite steep in places which makes it unsuitable for large caravans but this leads to the base of the cliffs and the idyllic beach side venue. If you like the sound of the sea and waves to relax then you will love it. The local beech (peebles) is only 2 mins walk away which is perfect and makes it popular for sea fishing. As stated in the other reviews the closest watering hole is a fair walk away and is back up the same winding track that you use to get in. I will definitely be returning to this site.
