We rang to see if there was a pitch for 6 nights and stayed 9.
The site is kept to an exceptional standard, well cut grass very clean and tidy everywhere.
The unisex toilet block again very clean, with clothes washing, drying and ironing facilities.
The site has a large games /TV room, also a children's play aera in the middle of the site.
There is a large dog walk, that slopes down to a fishing pond.
On site there is a cafe and small shop neither we used. The local vilage of Lanivet, has a chip shop, Spar Shop and pub.
The Beautiful Town of Bodmin only 4 mile away has everything incl super markets and fuel stations.
Mena is perfectly situated, close to the Eden centre, Bodmin Moor itself and for Beaches and Towns on the North and South Coasts
A wonderful site, great frendly Management and Staff.
You could not ask for a better place to have a Holiday.

We booked for 4 nights, but stayed 6, need we say more.
The site is fabulous, a very helpful management and staff, all of whom were up for a laugh.
The shower and toilet block's were brilliant and very clean, everything you may need is on site including, a small shop, washing machines, ironing board + iron. The children are well catered for with plenty of swing's and other activities laid on. We have a dog, and there are two field's with walk ways clearly cut through and around the field's, there is also a wooded area and a lake where if you wish you can fish. The site is bang in the middle of Cornwall so you are not far from any of the county's many attractions or beautiful coastline. The views from the site and the sunsets are breathtaking.
We would recommend this site as perfect for all ages, and will most definitely be returning very soon.

Just returned from this gem of a campsite, which we cannot recommend enough. The wardens and owners are very friendly on this small, quiet and mature campsite.
The best part of it for us was after travelling for 4hrs and pitching our tent we didn't need to go and try and find somewhere to eat or dash to a supermarket as there is a very small cafe on site that makes burgers etc to order and breakfast was available the following morning at reasonable prices. There was also a little shop that sold all the basics.
Toilet facilities were clean and showers were roomy with plenty of hot water.
There is a small playground with swings etc in the centre of the campsite within view of most of the pitches. There is a also lovely walk down to the pond.
As a way of families getting to know each other on the campsite the owners organised a quiz night and a rounders tournament.
The site is situated in a central location so its not too far to get anywhere.
We will definitely be returning!

Just come back from a fantastic two weeks at Mena, this is our second year here and it just gets better and better, staff made us feel really welcome and we took part in a few games of rounders which is a very popular afternoon activity, top marks to Ian, Kirsty, Ralph, Irene and Pat for a wonderful time, will be booking for next year for sure. The camp site is in a great location very close to bodmin, Camp cafe is does a mean breakfast, lunch and tea. If your thinking of trying Mena out I say book it, you will love it.

We loved our 2-week stay at Mena and are already planning to return next year.
This fabulous site had everything that our family was looking for on our first visit to Cornwall. The friendly and helpful staff create a welcoming atmosphere. They all make every effort to make you feel like their guests, and they genuinely want you to enjoy your holiday. This is evident in the way that the site is run:
- Pitches are very spacious, and are arranged around the perimeter of a large field containing swings, a slide and a basketball/netball hoop. This provides a safe play area for children, in full view of most pitches.
- The frequent rounders matches, organised by the owner, involve everyone who wants to have fun, and are a stroke of genius in bringing people together!
- Washing / shower / washing up / laundry facilities are clean and never overly busy, and the freezer for ice blocks is free to use.
- The large games barn provides table tennis, pool, a football table, a TV (the commonwealth games was in full swing!) and a selection of books to borrow.
- The shop and small cafe were particularly welcome, as was the advice for day trips etc.
- The ground is not stoney, so no bent pegs! Also, I was impressed that Pat kept an eye on the tents during the day, particularly if the wind did pick up.
Whilst we were there, one noisy family was dealt with quickly, tactfully and effectively, thereby restoring the calm atmosphere.
You do have to be prepared to travel to beaches / attractions, but we would rather do this and have a great campsite in which to stay and play. The A30 provides quick access to North and West Cornwall and some lovely quieter coves on the south coast can be reached via St Austell, where there are plenty of 24hr supermarkets.

We spent a lovely week here. Weather was mostly dry and sunny. All of the staff I met were very friendly and made us welcome. We were touring Cornwall. A little of it anyway. It's a beautiful county. Great chippie in lanivet, also Spar shop in the village. Didn't go to the pub though so don't know what it's like.
Our pitch was close to the indoor games/tv room but there was no problem with noise. There was table tennis, snooker table, table football, some books etc which catered for times when the weather wasn't so good.
I was surprised that the toilet and shower areas were unisex. I didn't like this much but that's a personal comment. These areas were kept really clean. I hope that improvements will be made to these facilities in the future. There is a good washing machine and tumble drier at a reasonable cost.
Wifi reception was only available at the shop area but it was pretty poor and we gave up trying to connect to the server despite Ians assistance.
We chose this site as it's pretty central. We went to Port Isaac to look for Doc Martin but he wasn't home. It was a lovely day and our photographs will remind us of our visit.
There is a huge dog walk and the bottom end of the field you'll find a little fishing lake where there are loads of beautiful water lillies and a nice seat to watch for fish rising.

Very friendly and always helpful with recommending were to eat etc.
The caravan was spotless and comfortable. The campsite is in a good area and very spacious with a decent games room and play area and is not to far from the main beaches and towns.
Can't wait to go back would recommend to anyone

My wife and I would like to say a big thanks to the owner and her Dad for making our stay a pleasant one.
The site is a really lovely place with beautiful surroundings and best of all peace and quite. It is a very well kept site the amenities are good the shower block and toilets were spotless, but most of all we were made welcome by the family. Very helpful nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely go back again.
Thanks to the owner and Dad for everything.
Regards Jenny & Bill Green

Stayed at this site before as we have relations in the area. They have since added a cafe serving breakfast which was thoroughly enjoyable also teas snacks etc. Pitches are well laid out plenty of space showers & toilets clean. Owners on hand and very helpful. This really is a gem of a site excellent location all the facilities you need. My only complaint is that I could not stay longer will definitely return for a longer holiday. Maybe in one of the statics they have for rent

---------------------------------------- After 17 nights at this camp, rest of us just say that this campsite has met our expectations. The owners are very friendly and will do anything to you to make sense. By Dutch standards, the toilets and showers a bit dated, but kept clean. This campsite is ideally located in a quiet area a short distance from the beach, Bodmin Moor and other attractions. The spots on the campsite are spacious and quiet campsite itself is huge.
All in all recommendable.
