Myself (33) my Husband (33) and my little one (2 years) Had a Lovely 4 day stay here - the manager was very helpful and immediately came over to offer his help when we started to pitch up our Tent (we were put on a pitch under a tree which is there spare pitch-they miss-read our reservation and thought we were in a caravan) but the pitch was still quite lovely.
I have to stay the Toilets and Showers were very clean and tidy although I was slightly annoyed when I found the Hairdryer didn't work - as not nice having wet hair on a wet day in a Tent! I did not realise at the time that there was another shower block around the back, and that had a working one! (although I did go to ask at reception if they had another one @ the time but there wasn't anyone there although it said they were Open on the door hours)
The Food/sink washing area was great, clean and inside the building so warm and dry and they also had a Microwave and Toaster free to use in there which I thought was a great touch, Although one (out of the three) hot taps didn't work unfortunately but was not too busy so didn't find it a problem.
Our 2 year old loved using the two slides but that's all he could use as the see saw had screws sticking out on one side so in our view was unusable. Could all do with freshening up / repaint really all round. And refixing / replacing of the broken equipment would make big difference.
However the pitches and grass were immaculate and there groundsman took great pride in his job and it certainly showed.
The use of an actual private bathroom (£1 pay machine) was great with a 2 year old and was popular too. As was the washing machines and tumble dryer.
There was also a games room with pool and table tennis and Cable TV which all seemed okay.
Was very nice facilities and clean but needed a fresh coat of paint all round I also found the Road noise quite a nuisance and did resort to ear plugs - although I'm quite a light sleeper and have to admit it didn't seem to bother my Hubby or 2 year old!
I would recommend staying here, as I did enjoy it, as it's close enough (By car- no where to walk with a 2 year old as all country roads so no footpaths) to enjoy the beautiful area. Especially Dunster village and castle / gardens absolutely stunning.
We did also use the swimming pool one late afternoon for about 20 mins just so we could justify the extra £'s paid really.
Overall was lovely smallish site with good - if not slightly tired-facilities. But as long as you no this to start then think it helps and you can enjoy it all the more.

Nice friendly campsite. Facilities are good for children. I hardly saw mine as they spent all their time in the excellent safe and enclosed playpark.
The washing facilities were absolutely spotlessly clean and tidy at all times. Hot water was a bit hit and miss. Laundry and washing up facilities were all excellent.
Check in advance if you are taking a large tent as our pitch wasn't huge and it only just fitted on, and the pitches are quite close together.
The site also has very nice spa / sauna / steam room & gym facilities.
Brilliant location for the steam train (1 mile walk) to Minehead - that was a lovely day out. 20 minutes from Taunton which has all major supermarkets and a good selection of other shops too. Lots and lots to see and do in the area. We had a lovely holiday there.
Quite close to the main road - ask for a pitch away from that end as I could hear a bit of road noise at night. Also the pond is noisy if you are pitched right next to it in a tent!
Absolutely excellent value for money.

Booked site a week before leaving. It was our first outing of the year so did not want to go to far from home. On arriving there were two rallys taking place. We were shown a grass strip for a pitch which was very wet. The owner was kind enough to move a van giving us a hard stand.
Had a super day in minehead which had a steam train extravaganza weekend. Which was a bonus and rounded the day off at the local pub which is in the heart of the village, and we were made very welcome. The pub dates back to 17th century, flag stone floor in main bar so good for walkers and dogs.
The site was clean with very good toilets and powerful showers.

Just returned from wonderful few days at Quantock.
A great campsite for families it's got a well equipped playpark and indoor games room which is great for the youngsters.
We were on a full hardstanding pitch (gravel) it was a very generous size some were slightly smaller, also grass for the summer months.
Dotted all over the site were bird feeding stations they were visited by hundreds of birds which was lovely to see.
The toilet facilities were 5* and kept extremely clean by the warden,it was well lit and it also had free hairdryer too.It also benefited from bath for a £1 extra well worth it! There were 2 parent rooms as well father and baby, mother and baby, all spotless.
Laundry room with washer, tumbler and sink again spotless.
Indoor plate wash with micro and toaster hot water all daylong!
Waste and water disposal.
Taps dotted around site area kept nice and tidy.
Only 10 miles from M5 motorway and Taunton and the same to the coast making it perfectly situated for all surrounding
Areas.
Only a few miles from campsite toward Minehead is the beautiful town/village of Williton, everything you would need without the hassle of going into Taunton, Co-op,Spar, greengrocers, hairdressers, take away,Indian restaurant, second hand shop, autospares, garage and a few pubs! Perfect.
I would definitely return to this campsite and would recommend to anyone.

Nice site next to the A385 half way between Taunton and Minehead (around 10 miles to each) the closest village is around 5 miles towards Minehead, and has Chippy, Spar, co-op, bakery etc.
Although the site is right next to the A385 we didn't notice any road noise at all.
The site is mainly hardstanding, but does also have a number of grass pitches. Although the pitches were not the biggest that we have stayed on, most do have hedges in between for a little more privacy.
Even though it was February the site was as well kept, didn't see any sign of overgrown bushes etc. The outdoor swimming pool looked like it would be a nice place to sit around whilst the kids had a splash around (not in February though), also for the kids is a play area and indoor games/tv room (although we couldn't get the tv to work), this was a real + giving the kids somewhere to sit and chat on a cold night.
The toilets/showers were always kept very clean, the warden works hard in them, and it shows. Lights and heaters come on when you enter them, (also FREE hair dryers) they have a separate mothers and dads baby changing areas that each had 3 extra showers in them, a well equiped laundrette is on site with a full size bath also available for only £1. Dishwashing area is indoors too, complete with microwave and toaster.
Only a short walk from the site to the steam railway station that takes you to Minehead.
Would not hesitate in returning to this site, maybe when its warmer and the pool is open :o)

Message from site owner:
An insight to our plans for our campsite for 2010:
We have taken on board the feedback provided by our guests through your website and subsequently have modernised and refurbished our gym, toilet block, swimming pool area. And we aim to refurbish our children play area and games room before the season begins.
We are also planning to rearrange our pitches layout to provide our guests with more space. We are always looking to improve aspects of our campsite and this year we our delighted to have been voted within the top 100 sites in the practical caravan awards, which we are collecting on Wednesday next week. We also aim to become a listed site within the caravan and camping club, join the David Bellamy award scheme and much more.

What a superb site. Each pitch was surrounded by hedging so that you were separated from your neighbours. We had a grassy area although there were hard standings.
The site had many facilities, toilets, showers, wash rooms, games room, tv room and also a dish washing area. All were spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We paid £13 and this included the hook up awning and dogs. We will certainly return.

Very surprised to find many unoccupied looking caravans some with awnings taking up nearly half the pitches
Pitches not clearly marked and close together making it very difficult to manoeuvre caravan on and off pitch. Hedges/bushes all needed trimming/ tidying up. Though there were some beautiful hanging baskets.
Shower block clean but old fashioned with low ceilings, and a big step down from the shower to the floor. Lighting poor at night. No hair dryers available or sockets to plug in your own dryer.
Has the potential to be a cracking site.

We visited this site for a week 01/09/2009.
It is in a very quiet location quite a few miles from any where, the steam railway station was about 3/4 of a mile away towards Taunton which was approx 10 miles away.
They tried to to put us on tent site pitch when we arrived but we complained, that we had paid for hard pitch, and were moved, but only because there was room
The pool, gym, and sauna were 8 pounds each per person for a morning. Toilets were clean, but basic. It was a good clean site

Just come back from a 10 day stint at this campsite. Few ups and downs. Ups - Lovely spacious swimming pool albeit a bit cold! Quite a quiet site. Warden and owners approachable and friendly. Good drainage on pitches. Good play area for children. Reasonable games room with Sky TV. Lovely walk down to the train station and worth a visit on the steam train. Downs - Pitches vary in size which could prove difficult if you have a bigger unit. Parents and children chose to disregard the opening times of the park resulting in early mornings from 7.30 onwards. Unpredictable shower temperatures. Not within walking distance (with children) to any other villages/amenities. Shop very basic.
All in all an enjoyable time was had by us apart from the very early mornings!
