Fantastic well maintained, quiet, small family campsite. Toilets and shower blocks immaculate, great setting around a lake. Only 15 pitches so very quiet and friendly. Well located for the bright lights of Ingoldmells & Skegness but far enough away to catch your breath and get a good nights sleep. Owner is always on hand and making sure that everything is as you'd want it to be. Visited with my 10 year old daughter on her first time away under canvas and we'll definitely be going back.

Writing this as I am staying here. What a wonderful site, peaceful quiet location and well kept, yet not too far from the coastal resorts of Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea, Ingoldmells and Skegness. Small reasonable and friendly site with lovely clean facilities and well spaced level pitches. The pond is right by your van. The fishing is good with plenty of good condition carp, tench and roach. Access is good and the owner is always about to help or just have a chat. You do need to drive to get anywhere other than the village or use the local bus. The pub is a short walk that does two for a tenner basic pub grub. Don't tell too many people or I may not get back on.

What a lovely break me and the other half had at ivy lodge. We stayed for 5 nights after the bank holiday and would probably say its the best site we have stayed at in the last 4 yrs. It is so peaceful and the facilities are first class. Full credit goes to the owner nothing too much trouble and always about for a chat. Will definitely be returning no need to look for anywhere else. If you like fishing then bring a bit of tackle with you the fishing is excellent I fished for 2 hours every evening and caught over 30 carp in excellent condition every session. There's two pubs within walking distance of the site very friendly people not very busy when we tried them. If you don't want to drive then use the bus. We caught the bus into skegness and it only cost £10. 20 return not bad when you consider its £6. 00 to park for the day on the sea front. Cant wait for next time.

Spent 3 great nights here at the end of June 2013. The site is 100% fab. Never seen toilets & showers so clean. Owner was very helpful, willing to help out when ever he could. All pitches have electric hook up. Nice fishing lake in middle of field. Kitchen room for washing up, even has freezer in there for cool bag blocks. Cosy, quiet, friendly and most of all clean. Would highly recommend it. Even has static caravan for hire. Will definitely be coming back.

Everything said about this place is right, we went for a weekend break and ended up staying for a extra night because the kids enjoyed it so much.

The facilities are clean, showers hot. The owner Dennis is very helpful and takes the time to chat to see if you need anything. The area not too far out the way still easy access to towns, local funfair. If you enjoy fishing, lake is full the kids had a go and did manage to catch two and that was with a cheap one pound rod. Will add because the lake is in the middle of the camp younger children will have to be watched carefully. So its easy to guess where we will be going next year.

This review is just to say everyone else who has stayed at ivy lodge and left a review are 100 per cent correct, its a brill site, fishing great, toilets great, site great, the owner brill, what more could one want, its like camping in your back garden, (take a tip ) book as early as you can to get a spot, its that good.

Easy drive to the local towns, ingolmells fun fare, nice big seven day market, places to eat, and for the fishing folk a great tackle shop and cheap, maplethorpe close by as is skegness,

If you want to party till 12-00 1-00 2-00am don't book here its not that kind of site, want to enjoy, unwind, relax, meet like minded folk, have a good nights kip, then book it,

We came away after a week totally relaxed, (thanks for a great week )

We have just returned from a bank holiday at ivy lodge. We had studied reviews of other users of this site that's why we booked. The site was as good as all reviews previously, it was well kept clean quiet fishing great. We had some very wet weather but this didn't dampen our enthusiasm for the site and the proud owner.

We would recommend this site to anyone wanting peace and quiet and clean facilities. We will become regulars at this site and hope to visit a couple of times in 2013. All the other users of the site were friendly and the peace and quiet was second to none fishing was truly superb, and to sum up I wish there were more sites of this caliber around the uk

The Chap that runs Ivy Lodge has a saying 'As soon as they're through the gate, I've got 'Em. ' Enough said.

Believe me, he's not being bigheaded either, what a beautiful little site.

I personally would really struggle to find anything wrong with this site. A nice drive upto the site, plenty of space, a great little fishing lake in the middle, if you're into fishing, & an impeccably maintained shower block.

We were looking for a nice, not too expensive site near skegness and found this one on UKCampsite.co.uk.

The reviews were spot on. We picked the best week of the summer and the best site by miles. Small, secluded, quiet with just the right facilities.

Dennis the owner was absolutely brilliant. Really nice chap and could not be more helpful. Looked forward to our daily chats. He kept the site so tidy and offered advice about local places etc. Wish we could go back more often.

Toilets were clean and just right. Single washing up sink undercover but more weren't required. And free use of the freezer there too. The lake was full of fish.

Such a lovely site and a lovely guy. Thank you Dennis for making it a special week for us.

On arrival we were immediately offered help with setting up and during our stay the owner was very friendly and helpful. The site is very well-maintained, Dennis is always busy keeping it up to scratch.

The toilets and bathrooms are modern and spotless, despite the sometimes inclement weather. Hot water is plentiful and free of charge. There is a separate kitchen with washing-up area and freezer for campers' use, again spotless. The static caravan also seemed modern and well-kept, so I will be recommending that to non-camping friends.

If fishing is your thing, all pitches surround a lovely lake with carp, mirror carp and koi (so I am told). This is the only drawback if you have very small children (but it is the only drawback I can think of for this site). If you're not a fisherman, the atmosphere is still tranquil and the lake gives a pleasant view, unlike some other nearby sites with their rows upon rows of caravans, tents, and the general impression of a prison camp.

There is a small children's play area, but our kids spent their time running around. They certainly didn't feel anything was lacking.

We stayed for two weeks and were beginning to feel as if we could stay permanently, if only the weather, etc. , would allow. It was also very reasonably priced at around £16 a night, without hidden extras.

We will definitely go back, hopefully bringing friends and family.

The surrounding area is nice enough. Chapel St Leonards is very handy for the little supermarket, a few amusements and long sandy beaches. Skegness is not far away, with all the fairground rides a child could wish for. The nearest launderette is in Ingoldsmell. One little gem is Church Farm Village, tucked away in Skegness. It is free, and the whole family found something entertaining. Alford is a very pleasant Lincolnshire market town, with a craft market and something for those of us less inclined to the bright lights of Skeg-Vegas.
