Spent a great weekend here over whitsun. Lovely site - quiet, with superb views. Despite being very busy, the loos and showers were clean with plenty of hot water, pitches large. Tom couldn't have been more helpful. A great mobile shop facility with papers, milk etc, and a pub within walking distance. Deserves all its glowing reviews.

We just came back from our stay at 'Tom's Field' and we are already missing it. Tina and Tom mixed with everyone and made us feel very welcome. Although we are a couple it was a lovely site for families and kept stumbling upon children embarking on big adventures - collecting stones, having sword fights and discovering snails. Tom offered a service where he took mostly children round on his site buggy which looked a scream and I actually would have liked a go. The couple that came to sell produce in the mornings were charming and fun. The surroundings really are breath taking, we stayed in the smaller copse area and in the evening the sunsets were beautiful. The facilities were cleaned regularly and in our opinion more than adequate for the site. The roads around Tom's Field' were a joy to view with horses with their foals, donkeys and the odd cow - MOOO! Such a delight

This is an excellent family site , we found the site staff to be very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We had really heavy rain and the entrance to the field got a bit bogged down with mud making it very difficult for cars, so the owner got several tonnes of large gravel bought up by lorry and laid to make it easy to get in and out, far more than most campsites would ever do! The facilities were good and clean, toilets were a bit muddy but it did rain a lot. Only down side is having to buy tokens for the shower. There is an excellent shop on site where they have a good choice of camping equipment, food ,clothes and toys for kids. The site is well situated on the edge of a village so there are shops and pubs in walking distance, if not Swanage town is just 5 mins away by car. Highly recommended

This is a no frills campsite but is excellent. The most important aspect of a site besides the pitch is the toilet facilities which is a portacabin with good water pressure and constant hot water. The showers are a little on the small side but were very good. On reading previous reviews there were no washing up facilities but this has changed and again with no shortage of hot water (which I believe to be supplied by gas on demand). They were cleaned and maintained regularly by the owners Tom & Tina (who couldn't do enough for you including pegging down/checking unattended tents).
The pitch area we stayed at was a rectangle field with a central area which was free for kids to play etc. We had a superb view over the New Forest and had a gentle slope. Some pitches were in wooded areas and others more level.
The mobile shop visited daily for around an hour each morning and had the usual supplies you would expect; papers, milk & bacon etc.
There is a pub around ten minutes walk away although we didn't visit this. We understand that they open in the morning for breakfasts which is good if the weather is dodgy or you just can't be bothered.
You are staying in the New Forest so there are no funfairs etc. The attraction is the peace and staggeringly beautiful views. We went on a lovely walk and you can see horses, cows, rabbits and if you are lucky even deer and foxes. There is a rope swing on a tree which is nice for the younger child.
A highlight is seeing Tom's face as he drives the children up and down the site in his mini truck vehicle. This is reward for returning the complimentary sacks with rubbish and recycling.
Our visit was during some particularly poor weather. As mentioned earlier, Tom & Tina did all they could to make you welcome and happy. Would we go again? You bet! I am looking forward to next years visit.

Just got back from a weekend at Toms Field, and will definitely stay here again. It's a nice basic campsite with clean toilets and showers.
Tom and Tina are lovely, very welcoming and friendly.
A mobile shop visits every morning, and there's a pub only 10 minutes walk from the site.

Our first visit to Tom's Field was very enjoyable, despite the amazing amount of rain that fell on Bank Holiday Sunday/Monday.
A great basic site. The toilet and shower blocks were fine and were regularly cleaned. Great views from the pitches that are not adjacent to the road. We were down at the end of the family part which felt quite secluded and was really near to toilet block (but not too near!) The child free area looked great too. The kids had great fun on this flat site. Lots of other children to play with. They all enjoyed cycling around and the rope swing at our end of the site was a nice unexpected touch.
We made use of the visiting shop (announced at about 9am every day). It stocks milk, bread, bacon, eggs, sausages, newspapers and sweets! Fordingbridge is a short drive away and has a large Co-op, small Tesco express, pharmacy and lots of other shops.
A great welcome and friendly owners. When the wind got up Tom was kind enough to go round checking that unoccupied tents were properly tethered. The road noise was not too bad. However, this site is pricey compared to other good basic sites that we have stayed at.
All in all a great little site with very friendly and welcoming owners. We would love to return next year.

Once again a fabulous B/H weekend in Tom's Field,
Where PEACE AND TRANQUILITY ABOUND.
It's also nice and refreshing to see that Tom & Tina do actualy care about what their 'guests' think and need, a suggestion was made last year by several campers that a washing up area would be a good idea, lo and behold, this year 2 gleaming stainless steel sinks are now in operation, with endless hot water, what a treat!
The whole family can't wait until our next visit in August.
Keep up the good work Tom & Tina.

This is a wonderful site. The pitches are large, marked out and allocated as you arrive so there is none of that driving around to find the best spot (they are all brilliant). Its fabulous for children - there is plenty of room for them to run around safely. Tom and Tina are lovely and welcoming, from arrival to departure they offered us advice on places to visit and Tom took all the children for a spin on his tractor on the last day (as long as they brought the recycling bag back full!) This is no frills camping as it should be - tranquil, fun and friendly! Just wish it had been for longer!

We spent a few happy days at Toms Field earlier this month, and we would definitely camp there again. In terms of facilities it had everything you needed, the toilets were clean and the showers / washing area was adequate. The view of the coast line from the top field was idyllic to wake up to and it was perfectly quiet in the evenings. They insist on total silence past 11.45pm. The only thing that I felt could have been better was the spacing between tents, you certainly will get to know your neighbour! If you don't like the sound of this then this is not the camp site for you. Other than that small detail we had a great time and would recommend a visit to Toms Field.

Toms Field is what camping should be all about. No frills camping in a really nice setting. We were in the couples only end which is a nice idea. The only issue we had was that a water main burst on the first morning so we had no water until mid afternoon. The showers/toilet block is small but clean, and we had no queuing issues at all. Its an ideal location for taking the kids although we left ours behind this time. Plenty of walks around the area. The pub down the road is ok, nothing special, but adequate for food but does get very busy early on. Speak to Tom and he will point you in the direction of better pubs a little further away.
We will be back with the kids at some point.
