We stayed for a weekend at this site. It was very good value - £10 for a basic pitch for 1 adult and 2 kids. The owner was very friendly, and gave my kids some bread to feed the ducks!
Its a pleasant 10- 15 min walk along the canel into Llangollen where you can find shops, cafes, etc. It a quiet site and only families and couples are welcome.
The toilet/ shower and washing up area are all clean, but the interior of the shower block could do with redecorating.
This is a basic site- no playground, shop, laundry room. We found it great for a weekend break and would stay again.

The location and the value for money are its main attractions. It is just 10 minutes walk along the canal to the town to shops and pubs and there are lots of good walks in the area.
The facilities are basic but the showers are free and plentiful hot water. Toilets have paper provided. Generally facilities were clean but after one toilet was messed up and left dirty on Sat evening it was still the same by the time we left at midday the next day.
The site was full when we stayed and yet there were only a few tents pitched so plenty of space and privacy.
The site rules forbid any noise after 10. 30pm and this seemed to be strictly adhered to. It is for couples and families only so very peaceful.
The site is dog friendly as long as they are on a lead.
We were told that almost all the pubs in Llangollen allow dogs inside (the exception is the Corn Mill) although we only sat outside the Bridge End as the weather was fine.
We bought some meat from DM Pearson a local butchers in the town for our barbeque and everything was of superb quality so would highly recommend this.
We also bought some delicious lamb Oggies (like a giant Cornish Pastie) from Sidal's.
There are some fine walks that can be done from the campsite - you can follow the canal to its source at Horseshoe Falls which is about 2 miles or you can follow it in the other direction for a longer walk to the aquaduct over the River Dee. There is also a path from the top of the caravan field to the castle ruins but we didn't get chance to do this.
In conclusion I would recommend to a friend and return again

Lovely open and well maintained site area. Wasn't easy to find, so would perhaps suggest a visible sign at the end of the road. Owners were very friendly and helpful.
Location was good within walking distance along towpath into Llangollen, which is a busy little town with lots to see and do.
Only grouse I had was the toilet/shower block. The outside door stuck and was hard to open. The toilet doors needed handle/bolt repairs, the hand drier didn't work and loos themselves were in need of a good clean.
I wouldn't mind paying more per night if washing area was upgraded.

Went to this site for a test run weekend with our 'new' caravan and would happily go back again. Site is small and friendly and facilities are basic but do the job needed and nothing to complain about. The location is superb - easy to find and only a short walk from the canal and the town centre. Plenty of areas to exercise the dog on the doorstep and number of pubs in the town are dog friendly when wanting to eat out. Views from the site are lovely - some pitches are not the most level so be prepared with your blocks!

This is a superb location to visit Llangollen
and very easy to find.
Our hardstanding pitch was just the right size and noting a previous comment had a very long hose to fill up fresh water.
The washing up area very good (my wife said so) with a nice touch books/DVDs to loan just leave a contribution in the charity box.
The toilet block OK clean and with plenty of hot water but needs a shelf towel rail to put toilet bag towels etc on.
Wonderful views over the country side, made a big
mistake should have backed in to pitch much better views.Plenty of room between all campers.
Owners very helpful and friendly.
Will go again.

This was our second visit to Tower farm, here its all about the location, take a nice stroll down the canal and your in town, and there's plenty of nice walks and scenery, owners are friendly.
Take care on the approach road its narrow for larger outfits and reversing could be a problem and its not sign posted so look out for the road sign.
Caravan site is sloping, it does have electric hook ups, some of the hard standings are narrow but ok, the toilet block is acceptable its heated but perhaps a little up dating is needed.
We also thought £16 a night for October was a little steep, but all in all its a nice little site

This is one of our favourite sites. Its small and basic but in a cracking position on a farm just outside Llangollen. The toilet and showers are always clean and warm but basic. Llangollen is a 15 minute walk along the canal (lots of ducks to feed on the way) We've been back 7 or 8 times in the last 18 months as it just ticks all the boxes for a quiet relaxing weekend in a lovely part of Wales

We like coming to this site - there are two of us with our dog and our trailer tent.
The site is small, just one field for tents at the front of the farm and one for caravans round the back.
It is in a very good location close to town in a lovely scenic spot.
The facilities are fine. The toilets and showers are basic but clean and well maintained.
This is a small, friendly, quiet camp site, couples and families only. We like it like this, no problems with noise at night.

Just got back from a 3 day stay here. Great location and a lovely walk along the canal to Llangollen centre. Great location for visiting other parts of Wales too. Very sloped site but got it right in the end.
Toilets are very very basic and nowhere to put your shower gel, shampoo etc. Also wet when you get out. For £16 a night I thought it was a bit much considering the toilets and showers. Have stayed on much cheaper and a lot better.
Would I go back, I doubt it.

We stayed here for a long weekend because of its excellent location. It is within 10 minutes walk of Llangollen with all its shops and attractions. The canal boat trip across the famous aqueduct was well worth a trip and there are some lovely shops selling local produce. We didn't manage to make the steam train trip so will have to do that next time.
The owners were very friendly both when booking and when we arrived.
The site itself is in an amazing location with wonderful views and walks all around. Pitches are sloping and a little awkward to manoeuvre into if you have a large unit.
The shower block is basic, there was nowhere dry to stand and get dressed after a shower and they weren't very warm first thing. We couldn't connect to the on site tap for water as we didn't have a long enough hose and there also wasn't anywhere to empty waste water. It is definitely more geared to caravans.
However these were not insurmountable problems and based on the location and friendliness of welcome we would visit again.
