Back home after another great weekend at this very friendly site. Every time we visit this site something else has changed and changed for the better ie the start of what is going to be a beautiful area surrounding the brook that runs through the site, the brook having been cleaned out and the banks ready for seeding, also the clearing of several old trees to make the views even more stunning

Just like to add there are so many friendly people there. No one should ever feel left out or isolated unless they want to. There is always a Hello from more or less Everyone.

Also I believe you get what you pay for and this site is always very clean and well run

Must iterate I believe it's all down to the way Trevor and Mel run the site, always on hand to help, always there with a smile and friendly banter and they get what they deserve - a happy site, no problems

Just got back today from a 3 night break at tower Farm Caravan Site.

This site is really well situated for days out in Llangollen, we walked every day into the town which as long as you go along the canal only takes between 5-10 minutes and is an easy flat walk where you find shops / pubs / restaurants.

We read the previous reviews before deciding where to go and I have to say that the toilet and shower facilities although free do need updating. You struggle to find clean places to put towels / wash bags down and I preferred to have a wash in the caravan due to the erratic water pressure from the taps, which saved me getting soaked!

The site owners were friendly but I do have to agree with other reviews about the guard dogs they keep in their garden, do not attempt to go through the gate.

While we were there, their seemed to be a lot of regulars, everybody knew everybody and although their was a strict no noise after 10.30pm rule, it didn't seem to apply to them and didn't appear to bother the owners who lived on site.

We took our dog with us, and although they do not have a walking area if you come out of the site and go left and you will see a Sports Field, it was 1min from site and good for a bit of fun. We took the dog into Llangollen along the canal and she loved it, we found a dog friendly pub The Bridge Inn or Bridge End Maybe also served good food and showed live football.

The site itself is fairly small and Friendly, with good views of the Valley, but because the site is circular with a circular road to get to your pitch, you may find like we did kids doing endless laps on skateboard, bikes or running round. We do prefer adults only though!

This may sound like a negative review but I'm just telling you the bad bits, we will probably go back to this site at some point but just wish they would upgrade the toilet block and the people on the site weren't quiet as cliquey!

This is a beautifully situated campsite with lovely views from all pitches and is very peaceful. Very close to llangollen - only a ten minute walk and very close to the Eistedfod site and steam railway. (Steam trains can be heard from the site and on gala events whistles can be heard from early morning and well into the evening)

Some pitches are very much on a slope - we needed several blocks of wood and a little time and patience to achieve a level caravan!

Shower and toilet block clean, but could do with a little updating, it was a little mouldy and smelly but had plentiful supplies of hot water and toilet rolls (proper soft paper)

Be careful when turning off main road into Tower Lane - especially with a large outfit (this is a very tight turn) We also wondered if we were going the right way at one point, this is a narrow country lane and we wondered how and when we could turn around if we needed to.

Beware of snappy and barking guard dog in garden of house and near reception when paying bills or seeing the owners, it gave me quite a scare - some tots could be very upset by this. I advise stand by gate and shout for attention!

The owners are having a little trouble with their mobile telephone reception - (we were unable to contact to inform them that we would be arriving late due to multiple road closures) and this could prove a problem with booking in and contacting them.

Do not be put off by above comments, perhaps I am being a little picky, but this is a lovely site, with very pleasant and helpful owners, we will be sure to return again to enjoy all this lovely part of Wales has to offer.

This was our first visit to this site and we have booked up again for this next weekend. It is quiet small & friendly. Well run by Trevor & Mel who are always on hand to help if you need anything along with a smile and fun conversation.
Toilets and showers are very clean, short down hill walk in to Llangollan town with lots of shops etc. The walk back is all the exercise you will need as it all up hill but take your time & look around the views are great.

Our second visit of the year and it certainly won't be the last!

We managed to get away for a 2 night stay this time and certainly made the most of it - there is a glorious, easy and as long as you want, walk along the Llangollen canal, you could even make a day of it and walk along to and across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct just make sure you have your 'head for heights' on that day. It's 120ft above the river Dee!

The site was as clean and well kept as before, with a warm welcome from the owners and their latest additions - anyone who manages to get up there in the next few weeks might get to see one of the eight Malamute and Alaskan Huskie cross puppies. Just be prepared to want to take one home with you! If they haven't already gone ;o)

The weather was the usual unpredictable stuff, sunny one minute raining the next, but from our pitch we could sit and watch the front rolling in across the tops of the mountains and prepare for the downpour with a top up of the wine glass!

The site was busier this time, with the front camping field also occupied. Not that you'd notice - no queues for showers or loos, hardly any noise after 22.00hrs and everyone there was friendly and ready to pass the time of day with you. Whilst eyeing up the puppies and deciding which one just might have to sneak into the aquaroll bag on our departure!

We love this place, it's only 30 minutes from home, but it feels like an oasis where we can do loads of stuff or just 'chill' and watch the World go by.

A great site, ample room for a caravan on almost level hard standing and for an awning on the nicely mown grass, wonderful views over the Dee Valley. The toilets and sinks are spotless! However, the showers let this site down due to mildew on the grout and tiles and generally in need of re-tiling, putting that aside they are Very Friendly people who run this site and worth a visit as it's only half a mile to the town center of Llangollen. We recommend the Steam Railway for a visit too as it's currently £20 for a family ticket to Carrog where there is a great little pub only 5 mins from the station, with home made food which is second to none.

We've just had a lovely weekend at this delightful, quiet site!

The site is just on the outskirts of Llangollen on the road to Horseshoe Pass. There's an 'interesting' right turn into Tower Lane and then a short drive up the narrow lane to the entrance to the farm which is well signposted.

When we were there it was a fairly quiet weekend, 5 other touring caravans, a couple of large tents and a few smaller ones. Talking to the people who run the site it can get quite busy especially Bank Holidays and when there is anything 'going on' at the close by Eistedffod showground, but there are plenty of electrical hookups for those that need them.

The pitches themselves are a mixture of hardstanding and grass, some are not the levellest of pitches and can provide a bit of a setting up challenge. One thing I would suggest is to make sure you have some rock pegs handy!

The shower and toilet block is clean, tidy and well stocked with toilet rolls and the shower is free! No opportunity for recycling on-site but good rubbish and Elsan disposal.

It is literally a 5 minute walk into the town centre of Llangollen with a wide variety of touristy type shops, pubs, cafes and a very helpful Watkins and Williams hardware store that sells rock pegs! There is also the steam railway, horsedrawn canal boat trips, the glorious River Dee and some superb Welsh mountainside walking. Just don't forget your waterproofs!

I would suggest if you want to book that you telephone as they are having problems with their emails, which may get resolved in the near future, but it would be a shame to miss out on this treasure of a site due a breakdown in modern technology.

Stayed here during the hot air balloon festival - a 5 minute walk to the pavilion, so very handy for other events held there.
There is a big field for vans and motor homes, with a couple of electric camping pitches. We stayed in the lower non-electric field which they limit to ten units so there is loads of room, so it is advisable to pre-book to avoid disappointment.
The toilet/shower block is a bit cramped and could do with replacing, but is adequate and clean. Very near the canal which we walked along a few times, and the town itself. No shop of their own but they do sell home produced lamb. Would go back again.

Very basic site, owners very friendly but pitches too sloping for trailer tents. Be careful of pitches at top of slope as there are over head power lines, and putting tents up and down is a little scary if it is windy.
The toilet block really needs updating.
The views are spectacular and it is a short walk to the most beautiful village.
