Our little touring caravan given to us, is stored at this site. Spent bank holiday at this site, best and most relaxing we have been to, very clean tidy, warden friendly, hardworking and helpful, toilets clean, whole site is immaculate. Lovely walk along field to shops, past picturesque houses. Site is very security conscious which helps when you have children, entrance has gates and you have to report to reception on arrival, there is also a picturesque pond and lots of birdlife to look at

Visited this site During the 'Bertha' Storms so was windy but doesn't detract from this site.
Its hidden away down a small track which opens out to the reception/residential area. The staff/reception was friendly and helpful and he showed us to our level pitch, just yards from the inclusive Electric hook up.
A very nice touch was the warden introduced himself and explained routes to towns etc, about the local village, which really nice. Wish more sites would do this instead of just grunting and pointing to a pitch!
As a certificated site its pretty basic on facilities but they are clean and work well. 50p for a shower but its a good un!
Overall excellent value for money, friendly staff, clean basic facilities. Will visit again.

A second visit to Grange Farm - this time on my own in my small pop-up as I didn't have the dog.
Another warm welcome and the site was wonderfully quiet despite my stay being in the middle of the summer holidays. As a lone camper the price was an absolute bargain, again considering the time of year, this was a welcome surprise!
It was lovely to see such well behaved children playing around the site, nevertheless the owner popped over to see me to check if there was too much noise (which there definitely wasn't) which was a thoughtful move and added to the overall feel of 'family. '

Great little site.
Nice and quite to relax in.
Toilets and showers nice and clean, what ever time of day
A short walk through the field brings you into the small town, with pubs and a chine take away which does fish and chips if you prefer.
Short drive up the road takes you to Frinton or Walton with lovely beaches.
We have rebooked for a long weekend in August

Needed somewhere basic, clean and cheap to stay which offered an electric hook-up. Grange Farm was the ideal location!
The facilities were basic but clean. It was a very quiet time of the year when we stayed and the single shower in our block was always free; I would be interested to find out how that works if the site was a little busier.
It was necessary to pay for the shower, which gave plenty of time per payment, and, for the price of the pitch, it's not unreasonable to expect to pay a little something towards hot showers.
Warm water was available in the block for free but the very small sink was difficult to shave in and there wasn't anywhere to put your shaving bag, towel etc when at the single sink. Small point, but important when your stuff is balancing on the sink or on the floor.
Really nice touch was the inclusion of picnic tables dotted about the site which you could move around on a first-come basis. Again, as the site was quiet, we all had one each.
Dog-friendly and a working farm so it had a lovely family-friendly feel and the farmhouse/office/staff were all great!
We had a great time and will definitely be back in the future.

We really like this campsite because we like quiet rural locations with good facilities near by. Harry's bar is excellent in the local village and only a 9 minute stroll away!
The staff on site are always very friendly and helpful and we really like the peace and quiet we get here.
If you want a quiet location, listening to the birds, with nice countryside walks and a peaceful place to get away from it all then this will really suit you. It does us!
Over the last year that we've been staying here we've watched the owners reinvest into the facilities and are seeing them improve every visit. But we like the fact they do their very best to ensure it stays a quiet peaceful 'away from it all' haven.

We have recently returned from a 5 day stay at Grange Farm Campsite and I must say what a lovely place to stay. We first visited the site several years ago and things have improved no end since then. The campsite is very well kept and the toilets were always clean and tidy. The owners have recently upgraded one of the toilet blocks and also installed hot water which is a lot better. We don't like large campsites with entertainment so this suits us very well. We would often stroll into the village and pop into Tescos Express should we require any food etc. The railway station is a 5 minute walk so we managed to visit our relatives in Colchester very easily and another day we went to the beach on the train! This probably isn't the site for the those families who like entertainment, swimming pools and the generally let their children run riot however for those who can amuse themselves it's absolutely ideal! We've booked up to go again in July!

Stayed here for a night in a tent. Good location for Clacton, just 10-15 mins away. Plenty of supermarkets/retail parks nearby for any essentials you forgot, or stock up when you get here like we did.
Very pleasant and friendly staff, seemed like a popular site with caravans. Reasonably priced considering it was a bank holiday weekend and no minimum stay enforced either.
The only thing that let it down for us, were the toilet/shower blocks. There was just one shower per block, with 2 toilets. It was pretty dingy even with the lights on. We didn't bother to use the shower, and the 2 sinks (one of which was out of order the first night) had only cold water, so couldn't shave/wash there either. The facilities were clean but just not how we like them.
