What a lovely site this is. If you're looking for a quiet, friendly site in beautiful countryside this is it. The owner, Mrs Williams was very friendly and laid back. She explained that when we were due to arrive she would not be at the site, but that we could just pitch where we wanted and she would see us later. When we explained that we had a big tent she said there were no size restrictions. Whilst we were there the brand new toilet and shower blocks were finished and they provide excellent facilities. The site fees were only £15 per night for 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. Great value! There was plenty of things for the children and the site was extremely child friendly. Just one word of caution the wind can be quite strong as there is little or no high ground between the site and the sea, so a little thought regarding where you pitch your tent is needed. Highly recommended, we will be going back.

We have just returned from a very pleasant stay at this lovely little site. The views are fantastic & there are some lovely places to visit in the surrounding area.
The site itself consists of 2 fields - 1 shower with toilet plus 2 other toilets, washing up area & laundry. All clean. Don't forget your 20ps for the shower (I managed to have a proper shower with 2 20ps, however my teenage daughter needed 4!)
The owner was very friendly & helpful. £16.50 a night for van 2 adults & 2 children was a bargain.
Cant fault this site & will definitely return soon.

This site was a really good find for us as we like quiet sights with room for the children to play but not necessarily entertainment laid on. The facilities were basic but clean, the only real problem being no washbasin in gents toilet or shower room toilet. As the weather was very poor there were not many units on site but I wonder whether the one shower and three toilets would be adequate if all pitches were taken
We had loads of heavy rain but the field drained really quickly so there was very little mud.
The lady owner was very friendly and helpful and enabled us to get an appointment with a doctor in Harlech when we needed it for our son.
We loved walking up the hill behind the site and looking back over the estuary towards Lleyn and Portmerion etc.Harlech, with its castle and beaches, is very accessible and Barmouth to the south and Snowdonia and Lleyn to the north are an easy drive away. We plan to revisit the site, which was my husband's favourite so far (6 years camping).

2 people + 1 dog pop up 2 man tent.
We were directed to this site by the Premiere shop down the road, it was 7pm and getting dusk so we were a little desperate. What an idyllic site, surrounded by hills and wildlife(sheep & sheep dogs). I only met the lady owner quickly but she was very personable.
My only concerns are that there is only 1 communal shower( god help it if the site gets full) costs 20p for about 3 mins (60p to get all the sand & oil off) which also houses a ladies toilet (with no wash bowl). There is one other ladies toilet(long flush disconnected) with a wash basin (no hot water). As far as I could see only 1 gents loo. I find this all very petty as they seem to charge £4.50 p.P across the board no matter what you have. 'Warning' take a torch, coming back from the loo the security light doesn't work.
Oh and please take away the fluffy step out mat from outside the shower god knows what it harbours????
Hey! don't get me wrong I thought the site was lovely, they're just letting themselves down. Also I just come off a Health & Safety course.
I would still go back. Cherry

This is a lovely little family run campsite that I would recommend and would go back to if I revisited the area.
Good points:
Lovely setting
Friendly owners
Flat pitches
Facilities were always clean
Bad point:
There are only a couple of toilets and showers and I can imagine there being lots of queues when the campsite is busy.
Surrounding area is lovely, and this campsite is close to the beach and Harlech castle.

We found this site an excellent base for Harlech and surrounding area- Harlech itself is not beyond a walk. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and you really feel that you are being welcomed into their home (also by the collie and labrador who make the rounds of all their visitors!). There are only 2 loos and 1 shower, but like all the other facilities, they're scrupulously clean (and it's only a small site, so no queues). We'll definitely come back. If you come here, you must climb the hill in the next field right to the very top for the most incredible 360 degree view of the whole area!

We stayed here for one night in our motorhome in August 2006. We did not book in advance and stumbled across it when driving to Harlech. We were charged a bargain £8 for the night. This is a small site, which occupies a small field on the owner's farm. Although we did not use the facilities they could be described as rustic. The showers and toilets are housed in the outbuildings on the farm. This site is in a peaceful location, nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains. There were only two other tents on the site during our stay, although there were a few other unoccupied caravans there also. The owner was particularly friendly. When we asked if we could cycle into Harlech without going on the main road (we have 2 small children) she directed us to a local route through a disused MOD site. This required us to cross the golf course. She told us to tell anyone who challenged us that she had given us permission. We picked blackberries along the route and definitely felt that we were on an adventure! This site won't suit those who like full modern facilities but if you're after beautiful views and safe, peaceful surrourroundings then this site is perfect.and cheap! We wouldn't hesitate to return.
