Excellent location in a small village half way along Wharfedale, with a village shop, two cafes, three pubs, post office and laundry service facility. Wonderful views and very peaceful.
Very superior toilet and pot wash units with a fridge and small freezer available.
Immediate access onto Dales Way and other brilliant walks. Three picnic tables available.

Brilliant campsite. Really large pitches. Facilities superb. Kettlewell village excellent, 3 pubs & a shop, can't ask for more! rebooked for june.
Also plenty of walking to be done ranging from a pleasant stroll to a full blown hike.

Lovely site, close to the village centre, where you will find 3 pubs, village store, cafes, shops and a petrol station there is also a bus stop near the car park.
The site facilities are clean and warm with plenty of hot water, showers are free, when all 3 showers are in use the humidity rises and condensation builds up, more ventilation required. The pitches are all grass and are a good size with plenty of room between tents, some pitches have EHU.
We stayed over the bank holiday weekend and although it was busy there was lots of space. There isn't a play area on site, but there is one close by in the village, children seemed happy enough playing football, frisby and flying kites. Friendly owner.
We will be returning.

Brilliant campsite - lots of space between pitches, and fantastic facilities. Specially, NO bright lights at night, but sufficient lighting to find one's way to the loo!
We have great weather for our four night stay, but could see that maybe after heavy rains, the site could become slightly muddy.
We would definitely go back.

Visited this site for the first time from the 18th August and booked for four nights.
When we arrived, the owner was very pleasant and gave us the option of various pitches which are well marked and set out in the field.
The shower and toilet block are very modern and kept exceptionally clean and during our stay were never overcrowded.
The weather was fantastic the day we arrived but unfortunately the following two days was just constant rain, which was a great pity as the annual scarecrow festival was on that weekend. Thankfully the weather changed for the better on the Sunday and our two grand children came for the day and had a fantastic time seeing all the different scarecrows on show all over the village.
There is also a brilliant play park just along from the site where the kids had a great time.
It is only a five minute walk from the site into Kettlewell which has three pubs and an old fashioned corner shop which sells the usual essentials and a couple of cafe's.
Two of the three pubs, The Blue Bell and the Racehorses are dog friendly and serve good beer and excellent food and what you would expect of country hostelries but the Kings head was a bit too pretentious for my liking and it does not welcome dogs, which is their loss as they are turning away good business to the benefit of the other two pubs. I can never understand the lame excuse that they serve food being the reason dogs are not allowed when it is so easy to segregate an area for customers with a dog, plenty of places do it.
Well that's my Victor Meldrew rant out of the way.
This is a brilliant little site in a fantastic area and we will certainly be paying another visit in future.

Stayed for a couple of nights whilst walking in the area. The site is conveniently located for pubs/shop in Kettlewell and of course the many walking paths in the area.
There had been a bit of wet weather before my arrival and the field was churned up and quite muddy. The facilities were good and also had a washing up room which is always handy.
The main reason I wouldn't use this site was the cost. At £17 a night for me and my dogs, which whilst the toilet block is good, at the time of year I visited, this was just a muddy field.

Arrived here on our ever visit and as soon as we pulled into the field we knew it was going to be fantastic, we checked in with the guy that owns the place and he was really friendly explained everything and said if we needed anything just ask, after we pitched in the sunshine after an hour we decided we needed to make this our new regular haunt and went and booked another weekend, the toilet blocks are fantastic and clean all the time, as normal for Easter the weather changed on Saturday and Sunday and Monday and it did nothing but rain and we had very high winds, didn't bother us quick short cut through the church yard on a footpath and we were in the village 3 pubs a shop garage and a couple of tea rooms, the Blue Bell pub is awesome but you do have to wait for a table but the pie is worth the wait, plenty of places to walk the dogs either the Dalesway of down by the river across the road, in all even with the rubbish weather one awesome place

A gem of a site! Just a short walk from the centre of the very pretty village of Kettlewell, with a well stocked shop, a camp/outdoor shop and pubs serving lovely food. The lady on reception wasn't sure which pitch we were booked on, so suggested we just pick a non EHU pitch. We chose a great pitch with lots of room, on the left once through the gate, against the wall, between the 'hillock' and the public footpath. I would recommend pitches against the walls. There are pitches down the centre of the field, which to me, would feel like being in a goldfish bowl - no privacy. The facilities, as mentioned are excellent. A wash room with several sinks, lots of hot water. There is a big fridge and freezer for clients to use. The wifi code is on a poster on the wall with lots of other info. Wifi worked close to the building but don't stray too far. I met a lady using the wifi on her computer in the ladies bathroom! She was looking after the D of E students, lol.
The bathrooms were really clean and pleasant, lots of hot water. There maybe a short wait for showers when the site is busy.
There is also an excellent disabled bathroom, which we had need of and an absolute godsend - a separate unisex room with a shower and toilet with handrails, accessed by a key from reception.
The children enjoyed playing on the park opposite the site and in the river that runs through the village.
All in all, a great site in the wonderful countryside and with fab facilities and views.

Stayed for the weekend to enjoy the scarecrow festival and I have got to say WOW what a fantastic place. The facilities are amazing beautifully clean, hot showers and the owners were lovely. We will definitely be coming back. The only complaint I had was with other people's dogs roaming about which I spoke to the owners and they rectified straight away.

EXCELLENT Site & Location - Possibly the best camp-site we've ever stayed at - toilets, showers & pot wash areas all first class / brand new & spotlessly clean, even under floor heating too. The site is handy to the village with a well stocked village store & few bars only few minute walk away. The owner is very friendly. As we arrived midweek we were lucky to have the campsite virtually to ourselves the first few nights, at the weekend the site filled up (still adequate space between tents). We have a very well behaved dog, but unfortunately some bad dog owners arrived allowing there dogs to roam free & bark at night - My advise to the owner would be to enforce the site rules (print these out & display on the wall) and insists when busy dogs are kept on leads under control. We LOVED our stay and highly recommend a visit !
