There are two fields available. One near the farm that is only open in summer and another at the top of the village past the water treatment works.
The facilities are at the farm and if you use the top field it's a fair walk down to the farm. There is a portaloo at the top field but it's pretty unpleasant.
The main facilities are great and the summer field is also lovely. Best avoid the top one imho.

I agree with the first reviewer that this site is in a good location; it's ideal if walking in upper Wharfdale and very handy for the pubs, shops and cafes in Kettlewell. However, I don't think the site will appeal to everybody. The main field, which I believe the owner has to fill up first, is up a lane about 5 minutes walk from the toilets & showers, which are situated by the farmhouse. However, there is a portaloo & fresh water available in the field. This field does slope a fair bit in places although it is possible to find level spots if the site isn't busy.
The second field, used as an overfill when busy, is the better of the two, completely level & very close to the farmhouse and facilities. There are 2 showers and 2 WC's for unisex use. I stayed 3 nights, the first two of which were in the top field. I had to move to the bottom field for the last night as the owner was away for the weekend; it made it easier for his daughter to just look after the one site. The grass was long (soft to sleep on) and there were sheep droppings here and there so care was needed in where to pitch.
There are three pubs in the village. The Kings Head is the nearest one, just a few minutes away, and is a very good traditional English pub complete with log fire serving good beer. The Bluebell Inn and Racehorses Hotel are set out more for eating, although they both have small bar areas. The food was excellent in both.
The beauty of the site is that one can do a variety of walks without having to drive anywhere. There are riverside walks along the Wharfe in both directions, or for the more energetic, one can ascend Great Whernside, Buckden Pike or head over into Littondale. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would love to return one day.

Basic but clean facilities - 3 toilets, 2 sinks (1 with hot water) and 2 showers (coin operated).
Only one field was in use during our stay and although busy it was not overcrowded.
Beautiful scenery, good base for walkers/cyclists.
A downside for me was no local information, like where the local shops are, the best pubs etc. The owner was away and the girl who was looking after the site could have been more friendly.
Anyway we went for a drive and a couple of miles away found a pub/hotel called The Buck Inn. Dogs are allowed in the bar area and the food is good homemade faire, around £10 per main course but tasted good and the service was excellent.
There is a small camping/outdoor shop near to the campsite, reasonable prices and friendly owner. There is also a general store (although this was closed) about 200 yards from the site.
We did enjoy this site and will probably return as the area is one of the best we have stayed in and the views from the site are spectacular but I am tempted to try some surrounding sites as well.

I hesitated to be the first to review this campsite as I don't want it to get too crowded! It's a real favourite of ours.
It's situated right in the pretty little Yorkshire village of Kettlewell which has at least 2 decent pubs and some nice tea shops.
The site itself has basic facilities, and is spread over 2 sites. There is a large field nearest the farm and church and one further up the road away from the village. It's strength lies in the fact that its so close to the village and the pubs, yet has nice views all the way round.
