Just arrived back from a 2 week stay at skirlington. Very friendly reception, we were taken to our pitch, which was a level grass pitch(52a). Shop well stocked and not overpriced. Fish and chip shop was excellent and again not expensive. We ate in the club one evening, 2 meals for £10, very good value.
The toilets were clean, but could be checked more often. There were 3 showers which were very good but little too hot! Now for the bad points. The space between the pitches(on our row) were unbelievably close!
We measured 15ft between our caravan and the motorhome next door, and our awning was included in that space! we could not fit 2 sunloungers side by side without knocking the motorhome the other side of us! I did sit out for about 5 mins until I could hear the folk in the mtorhome on the loo! There was no privacy whatsoever! I am sure this was a fire hazard too!
Just one other moan. The elsan. It was a 5ft square room, with a tiled floor and a one tiled size drain in the middle to aim the waste down, which was inadequate causing the waste to splash back up, over feet and clothes! The taps were located on the far wall which meant you had to step in to the waste to turn them on!There was also no hose. Would I stay again. Yes but I would have to stay on hard standing pitch or on single numbered grass pitches.

We have just returned home after 7 nights here.
On arrival we were greeted with a nice friendly smile and escorted to our pitch by a very friendly member of staff,
The site is first class, the pitches are very level, very big and very well looked after, the grass was almost like a bowling green
There is a separate dog walk that is hidden by trees. There are loads of rubbish bins and they are emptied 3-4 times a day, so no smells from them at all, but could do with a few more water points,
The toilets and showers were very very good and cleaned at least twice a day, some times more, could do with a few more as very busy at times, but no hot water problems,
There's a great play area for children, and kids club from 12pm to 3pm daily that my Granddaughter really enjoyed,
The pool is also very nice and has three parts to it, that caters for all ages,
The club house is great, it has three bars, one for children's entertainment, which had all sorts of entertainers on for them, and that is also nightly, there is then another bar that is for adults only, where you can have a drink in quietness. The other bar has all sorts of mixed entertainment nightly and some of the acts were very good. There is also bingo in the acts intervals if you like it,
The beach is only a few min`s walk away, but is a little steep in parts,
Security is on hand with any problems you may have, and patrol regularly, the site is very quiet after 10pm even though it has a big club house.
There is a massive car boot and market every Sunday.
The price of £175 for 7 nights in peak period is very good value for 2 adults & 2 children, Inc Ehu and all the facilities, pool and kids club are also free,
All in all we totally enjoyed our stay here and will most certainly return.

Just returned from a week @ this holiday park. We were a party of two caravans, 4 adults, 1 child & 1 dog. The staff were very helpful & polite.
We had a great time, plenty to do on site, in fact you needn't leave if you don't want to. The Sunday market was great. Swimming was good, plenty of entertainment. Lovely walk along cliff tops and access to beach. Thoroughly enjoyed by all including the dog. (site is dog friendly)
The toilet & shower facilities were good too, always clean. I am a bit averse to large sites, but would certainly recommend this site and will certainly return.

Good bits:
The chip shop at this site is good [and it cooks in dripping]
There is a car boot/market at this site every week
[although the market seems to sell a lot of old tat that you can pick up cheaper elsewhere]
Bad bits:
The site seems to accept anybody as long as they pay their money, 'commercial vehicles' towing caravans, people with 5 cars to a pitch [despite the fact that the website states one car per pitch,
They also seem to accept any breed of dogs
The pitches are not marked out too well either.
Also a constant steam of people walking between pitches,
The family room is more of a teenagers disco as opposed to what I would expect from a family room.
I wouldn't return to this site for the reasons mentioned above

Used this site times many its ideal for touring the east coast of Yorkshire. Grass pitches nice and level. Market is superb, shop is well stocked but a bit pricey. Kids enjoyed the swimming baths. Not too much noise at night. All in all a good place to stay. Not much to grumble about really but the hot water wasn't hot at all so pot washing became a task and the showers were cold even at 7 am but that's my only gripe. We will return again as always. Oh and by the way site fees not bad 69 quid for a 3 night bank holiday weekend

Arrived here Thursday afternoon of Easter weekend. Guided by a friendly warden onto our pitch and was set up in no time. All hard standing pitches were booked up when we reserved so had to have an electric grass pitch. It was fairly level and we had ample space for the unit, car and awning and space to bbq etc. Lovely clean site, lots of entertainment going on if you want it. Well stocked shop and lots of play areas for our 4 year old. Soft play area in the amusement arcade is great value at only £2.50, ideal on a dull day! Sunday market was great as well. Lovely fish and chip shop on site although it does get very busy. Showers have very poor water pressure but they do the job eventually. Good location, near to Bridlington, Hornsea and Skipsea. Will certainly return. Hoping to go back late summer.

Well what can I say, not a lot with the last review. Came here with the wife and two grandchildren and had a fabulous stay. Very well kept and clean, entertainment second to none, facilities very good. Cant comment on the showers, like the last review, as we used shower in caravan. But overall excellent site and going back with the wife in July. Site itself situated on the East Coast so good access to Horsea 10 mins or Bridlington 20 Mins.

We visited this site for Easter. As my mum has a seasonal tourer here, we stayed for 3 nights. We have three young children.
The grounds were very well kept. The showers were always clean & tidy and heated. The entertainment in the kids room was fantastic and the prices in the bar was very reasonable.
We enjoyed the swimming pool on site which was very clean. We also enjoyed the big market and car boot on Sunday.
This is an excellent site and we will be visiting again in the near future. We all had a great weekend.
There was only one problem the showers were only warm and the water pressure was poor
But all in all an excellent site

Nice friendly site five star facilities, massive market and carboot on Sundays
Couple of gripes with clubhouse, There is a family and children's room/bar and there is an adult only area that due to poor layout has kids walking through it all the time, poor design that could be rectified. There is also a adult room with adult shows that were toned down due to kids being in there even though they had their own room and shows on at the same time. Bar and clubhouse furniture also a bit uncomfortable and dated, needs money spending to bring it up to scratch. Also the advertised jacuzzi no longer exists. The clubhouse aside it is a five star site

Myself and my partner and our two children stay for 10 days. And we all really enjoyed our stay there. The toilet blocks were always clean and warm too and you could always get a shower they were never busy. The swimming pool was never that busy you couldn't go for a swim and it is not a bad size pool either.
The children's play area's were nice too plenty to keep them occupied and out of your hair so you can relax there is also a soft play area in the arcade centre which cost £2.50 but you don't mind paying if it makes the little ones happy for an hour or so.
There is also the market on sundays and wednesdays which is ok to walk round does get busy though so you need to get up early to have good look around when its not so busy. The staff were friendly too and helpful, there is also golf which was fun. We would go back.
