Hired a static here for a week. Caravan was excellent. Only 2 weeks old. Full central heating LCD tv/dvd. Car parks on its own driveway next to the caravan. All linen and duvet covers included with beds made up.
Swimming pool is advertised as heated and it is, which makes a change from a lot of other parks. A family site with amusement arcade, shop, bar and takeaway. Childrens play areas are professionally made with soft surfaces not mud like others.
Sunday market is held adjacent to the site with the usual bargains. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful.
Sandy Beach is accessible via a concrete ramp. Mr Moos ice cream farm is only 5 mins away along with Hornsea and Bridlington a short car drive away. We will be visiting again.

We love this site, cant wait to go back. Perfect for walkers and bike riders.
Beach could be better but we still love it, Dog loves it too.
Lots to do, huge field where kids can play all day and night.
We made loads of new mates, so did kids.

Wondering wether to go, well yes I would def recomend it.

Stayed at this site when the floods had just hit Filey the day before. The pitches were a bit boggy but only to be expected nothing can be done about the weather On arrival booked in at reception staff very friendly a chap showed us to our pitch. Good sized near shower block showers good and clean. Plenty of things for the kids to do on play areas Good chippy on site Pub was good. Shops good market on Wednesdays and Sundays which brings in the crowds. All in all a good friendly site hope to be going back there next year

We chose this site really to please my daughter as we took her friend with us and wanted a site with a few things to do. They loved the swimming pool, ball park, amusements, etc, and found enough to do through most of the day.

In the evening we went to the clubhouse which was okay. Not our choice for a weekend away as we prefer to go somewhere in the countryside to walk and get away from people. Would certainly recommend it for children though.

Shower facilities fine - clean and plenty of them.

Found the site nice, plenty for the kids to do with a large play area and entertainment in the bar (karaoke) lovely fish and chip shop on site.  I think that there should be more hard standing pitches though because when it rains you're not allowed to park on the grass and it would be very soggy. security on site is excellent too, security guards with dogs walk round site in the evening checking all is well which is very reassuring. our group was told a few times to keep the noise down on Saturday night (tut) (tut).
The only down side was the drains in the shower block were very smelly.

We found this site excellent, it has great facilities. Shop a bit basic but not unlike other sites we have been on. There is plenty to do and with a very young family we found it very easy to keep them entertained with the big and well maintained play facilities, the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa pool on site at a very small fee.
The club house was excellent with great entertainment on in the family bar, we went twice last year we wanted to go more but the site was full. We booked early this year so we didn't miss out again we have found so far this site offers the best value for money and we will definitely be going many more times

We visited this site in August 2006, and was really looking forward to the holiday especially as it was a 5 star site. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff, the siting was quick and efficient with a warden checking to see if everything was OK.

We had a large rainfall during our stay but can honestly say our pitch (Which was situated at the bottom of the park near the gate to Far Grange) was reasonably well drained and there wasn't much flooding.

On the first couple of days we were surprised to see guests riding around the site on Quad motorbikes which were loud, in my opinion too fast and indicative of the kind of stay we were in for. That said they stopped within couple of days. This was eyebrow raising giving the list of do's and don'ts.

As usual my Son aged 8 and Daughter aged 7 went for a ride on their bikes while we set up the awning and got unpacked, within about 10 Mins they both returned from the heavily used park informing me he had had his bike taken off him by some yob kids and when asked for it back he was sworn at and threatened. This resulted in them not wanting to go anywhere on site.

I wouldn't be surprised if the kids that stole my sons bike were the same ones that pulled down the sappling trees on the pathway to Far Grange park, and event which the site security were very quick to respond to.

We have been to this site for the last few years. The first year the weather was not so great to us, and fields where flooded in the tent field. When we returned in 2005, the tent field has been closed and there are horses grazing on it, which was a sensible idea. We have a caravan so that did not affect us, however when it does rain some of the pitches do tend to flood at one end, but when sunny is is an ideal site to be on.

The showers and toilets in 2005 where reasonably tidy, did on some occassions lack toilet rolls, but once you mention this to the reception staff they do act on it, and the man comes in his van and tops them up. The only draw back is that there is a two weekly collection of the rubbish and the dustbin men seem to come at 7am and are really noisy. The entertainment in 2005 was not so good as the previous year, mainly discos and apparantly it was under new management. The indoor facilities are good, they have 9 hole pitch and putt as well.

You are within walking distance of the beach (a very good climb back up though). The fish and chip shop is lovely and you get scraps which is a rare things these days, the only draw back is you have to wait in a long queue but worth the wait. Overall we find it hard to beat the price with the facilities that they offer on site for the main season and will be returning again. Hornsea is a few minutes in the car and some limited free parking can be found and has good family facilities too including the beach, Hornsea freeport is local too. I guess you will always find some faults with whatever site you stay on but the plus on this site outways the minus. I would give it 8/10.

We stayed here for a few days it was a lovely site so we thought
However by the end of the day the toilets were dirty and when telling the reception we were ignored until she had spoken too the full members of the site (who I must say pushed in )

The receptionist reply was very frosty and basically didnt give a damn

The car boot on sunday was good

Theres a pub called Cowshed got a lovely breakfast there its just by the market

Lovely scenery

 August 2004
Have visited this site once two years ago and recently in August. The first time we had a wonderful time excellent facilities and all reasonably priced. Considering the size of the site and how popular it was, it was all quiet by a reasonable time. I would of given it 8/10 then, however, this time I would of only given it 4/10 if that. Most of the staff were very friendly apart from one of the receptionists who seriously needed training in customer service ( i am a receptionist myself ) then there was the jobsworth who showed us to our pitch - we are a family party but could only face our folding campers back to back and when asked why he couldn't even give us an answer. We didn't want to face each other but facing out over as most campsites allow would of been nice and the pitches would easily of accommadated this. However we accepted that rules are rules and didn't argue.

Then came the rain and more rain the place was flooded no fault of the site, no one could of prepared for it. The people in tents suffered more and they were leaving in droves, however one young family decided to stay and asked mister jobsworth if they could move their tent to a less flooded pitch and grumpily as ever said yes. But the next day he turned up and asked them why they had moved it, they explained that they had asked him and he had okayed it and they had also informed the grumpy receptionist, to which he replied "I did not ok it and that grumpy person on reception is my wife" no surprises there then.

The facilities were still as good and prices still reasonable and we still really enjoyed it even with the rain as most of the staff are excellent. The only complaint with the facilities is the bottom field toilet block is no were near as clean as the one that is for the more permanent tourers.
