This is a fantastic little site. Even though it's near a road you can't hear it unless you listen for it. The toilets and showers are brand new and kept spotless at all times. Owners are the nicest, warmest and welcoming people you could wish to meet. Nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay a good one. The little on site pub is fantastic and really reasonably priced. Surrounding areas close by are Redcarr and Whitby and lots of other places to see. Can't wait to return to this site.

This site is a gem of a find. The owners were a lovely, very hard working couple, who would do anything to make your stay special.
The toilet and shower block was fabulous and scrupulously clean with a washing up facility round the back.
The bar was great with a good friendly atmosphere to relax in. A pool table and dart board were provided and lots of toys and pastimes for children. Even Play Dough!.
We will definitely be back.
Thanks for a great time.

We have just returned from an Easter break-where the price WASN'T doubled because it is a bank holiday! The bar is so warm and relaxing with the drinks cheap. The site is child and dog friendly. Toilets immaculate. The attention to detail on this site makes it a little gem that the owners will make sure never gets too busy and is so safe to let young children play, they put the customers experience first and are very friendly. The tariff is kept the same all through the season. If you enjoy a quiet site this is the best.

On arrival to site we soon realised just how close the site was to the A19. The road noise is very noticeable in the awning and can still be heard inside the caravan. The electricity is metered and a card has to be purchased from reception. The site is unfinished and has no taps to rinse waste water facilities. There is only one shower but is very warm and clean. Wash facilities are excellent. The couple who run the site are very welcoming and friendly. The view to the rear of the campsite is breath-taking shame the noise of the duel carriageway behind spoils the setting.

Great little campsite ! only stayed 1night & day clean & tidy site, cleanest shower /toilet block ever been in ! would go back,
Site is very close to the A19 quite a busy road however the noise off the traffic was hardly noticeable,
On site bar looked nice but didn't try out as not a drinker !
Access on and off the site was good and services were very close to the pitches (hardstands),
Small play area with a big trampoline !

A very nice site. We stayed for three nights from 14 sept and enjoyed every minute of our time there. Although very close to the A19 the noise of passing traffic was not a problem.
The toilets and shower are spotless, the bar serves good drinks and toasties. The owners are a very nice couple who will do anything to make your stay one to remember.
As this is a new site there was only two units on the weekend we where there, but when more people get to know about it I think it will be hard to get a pitch. We will be back.

Saw this site whilst passing on the A19. Booked the next weekend and must say had a fantastic time. This site is brilliant, clean and tidy.
Although close to the A19 road, you can hardly hear it. The toilet facilities are second to none.
The owners John and Christine are the most helpful people. They have a gem of a site which should be used by tourers more often.
Definitely, we will be back in the near future with the family.

Spent two nights over the bank holiday at this site.
It was very easy to get to and although next to the A19 the noise wasn't too bad - didn't really notice it.
The site itself is well laid out, big pitches and fantastic views of the Cleveland Hills.
All facilities are great, shower is one of the nicest we have come across and the owners John and Christine are very helpful and friendly, as was everyone we met in the pub.
We didn't have any problems with the elec supply (as one reviewer had commented).
Well worth a visit and will definitely be going again.

What can be added to whats already been said? field is nice and level, pitches absolutely massive, toilet and shower block is brand new and is kept spotless, a few bits of apparatus for the kids to play on, bar and tv room looked great but as it was very quiet on our weekend visit I don't think it was open.
Dont be put off by the busy nearby road, site is very peaceful with some great views and walks nearby.
The owners are very friendly and welcoming, my only gripe is the power supply, although it said it was rated at 10a it would trip if the heating was on and we popped the kettle on, maybe I was just unlucky, oh, and the place would benefit from a proper chemical disposal point, apart from that its a little gem!
If your visiting with kids I would recommend digging out the phone number of 'The forbidden Corner' its about 45 mins away, pre booked only, and I guarantee the kids will have the time of their lives.

Just returned from a bank holiday weekend at swan house. The site is situated just off the a19 with Northallerton only a short drive away. The site is small with some hard standing pitches. The toilet and shower block is newly built with one shower in each block and are one of the best kept facilities that I have ever seen. There is also a washing up area that is also very well maintained and clean. There is also a lovely pub with a pool table on the site which is very comfortable. A small play area and trampoline and an area with picnic tables. The owners are very friendly and helpful and as soon as we arrived came over and helped us onto our pitch. And we will definitely be returning here for another visit.
