The site is next to A19 dual carriageway.
Its not the road noise from A19 that I had a problem with, its the loud generator (or engine) that kept running intermittently all night.
This is more of a permanent touring caravan site.
Only 4 pitches available out of 18.
Pitches are bit of Tarmac (just) & not level.
On the website their rates advertised are £18 per night, plus £3 ehu.
But on top of that is a charge of £5 for an electric card 🙄
I got charged £55 for 2 nights.
I assume their website prices are out of date.
Certainly won't use this place again.

Stayed here twice now and it’s a great little site.
Just off the A19, so easily accessed from the main road and just a stones throw from the lovely Northallerton.
Recommended.

Lovely site.
Really easy to get to from A19 North or South bound.
Not too much traffic noise from main road.
Little pub on site with big screen for footy etc.
Would definitely stay again.

Well, having read previous reviews, thought we, d give it a try.
The welcome from John was great, told where to go and pitch and he’d come and put on our electric, electric on, legs down and so to the bar.
A very friendly bunch of locals/ seasonals and storage pull ons, made us feel very welcome.
John and Christine the owners also have some B&B chalets available, prices at the bar were reasonable, we’ve booked to go again with our other travelling companions (3 caravans ) in May.
As discussed before in previous reviews, a little road noise, but once the trees leaf out it should be reduced, great views across the fields of Cleveland tontine.

This site continues to be a firm favourite of mine. The site has excellent toilet shower facilities which are kept immaculately clean.
The site has hardstandings with 16 amp electricity (the electric uses a card system) and several drinking water points. The site is secure access is visa double gates controlled by digital locks and the owners live on site.
There is a mix of touring and seasonal pitches. The access to the caravan field is by a tarmac road that leads onto a large grassed area, there are no specific roads on the grassed area and vehicles park adjacent to the caravans.
The bar is a reasonable size and well stocked. The seasonal customers and tourers mix well in a bar that has an excellent atmosphere John and Christine are very friendly helpful owners /hosts.
Its a great area for touring and is convenient just off the A19. The nearest supermarket is ALDI in Yarm and Northallerton, a little further away has a couple of supermarkets and a good traditional Yorkshire market.
This site has improved continually over the years and I know that the owners have further plans that they intend to implement.
This a great site and I will be back
