Heritage is a delightful little campsite with a charming setting. The owners offer a warm welcome and could not do enough to make us feel welcome even offering our dog a ball to play with.
The campsite showers had lashings of hot water and were spotless first thing in the morning and in the afternoon. The washing up area was also flawless, had a freezer, hot drinks machine and mobile charging facility. For a tiny fee we hired a fire pit and wood is available.
The owners are just the best hosts, they came around asking if we were happy and giving us little bits of local knowledge. They told us about the local pub, which have live music on a Saturday evening so we decided to go and check it out. Fantastic night.
The photos on the website do not do justice to this lovely site. We walked to the beach from camp which took 15 minutes and discovered a lovely little cove with a big sandy strip. Back at camp we walked to second field we found a little stream where the dogs paddled and we sat at the table and chairs and drank wine in the warm evening sun. Life does not get better than this! We will be returning to this site time and time again.

We arrived late and the lovely hosts were just going out in their car but stopped to show us around anyway. The toilets and showers are very clean (50p piece for showers but you get a good long time) and the washing up area also has a big freezer and a coffee/tea machine (£2 for coffee made from real beans/£1 for tea from real leaves/ £1. 50 for a latte). I could not tell you just how nice the hosts were - really friendly, lots of info - deffo ask them about the beach (interesting things in the cliff!) and the route down from the campsite as I'm not sure we'd have found it without their help, but well worth a walk as it is so beautiful (through a field with horses in but further on the waterfalls. Just amazing!). Also if you want to get a meal from the pub (Plough and Harrow) then ring ahead as they get VERY busy especially on a Saturday. You can have a fire at the campsite, the hire of a firepit (sort of an open BBQ on stalks) is £2 and and BIG bundle of wood is £5 - well worth it and lasts ages. We would both love to come back to this campsite, it's definitely up on my top 5 of all time - and we camp a lot!

A couple of us decided to have a night 'away from it all' and found that the Heritage Campsite ticked all our boxes in a campsite. What we were not ready for was such a friendly welcome by the owners, whom were more than willing to help us with our questions and provided countless useful tips about the local area and what we could do. The surrounding area was stunning and we were fortunate that the weather stayed pleasant through most of the stay.
The local pub did some lovely food, so I highly recommend dining there at some point in your visit to the site.
My only regret was to leave! I thoroughly recommend this campsite for all.

We travelled to the area and booked a last minute pitch. Owners were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough to accommodate us and our dog. Facilities were excellent and couldn't be faulted, everything was nice and clean. Quite as they had only opened for the season a few days previously but we were given such a warm welcome. Local pub was lovely with good food but they weren't dog friendly and bearing in mind a lot of people will travel to the area with their pets I think they should reconsider this. This is in no way a reflection on the camp site as we were told the pub wasn't dog friendly - keep this in mind if you take your pooches want to eat at the pub which is a few minutes walk away. We will return to the area and will definitely book this camp sites again. Site is in a beautiful area, great views and lovely walk to the beach.

Wow, I'm a DISABLED CAMPER and this site is brilliant.
The owners were very accommodating with my disability.
The ablutions were clean, well maintained with wide door ways, and flat surfaces.
Lots of information given of activities, medical centres, local attractions etc.
The owners take pride in the site and their customer care is outstanding!
Perfect location, lots of space, no mess - very family orientated!

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 2 night break at this lovely campsite!
Firstly the owners are absolutely fantastic and really lovely! Really care about how you are enjoying your stay and quick to help you with anything you need!
We were given a lovely pitch with stunning views and as the campsite is quite small we were still close enough to all the amenities.
The facilities are really clean and look very new and well maintained. Even though the campsite was very busy and there were only 2 ladies toilets and 2 showers, I never had to queue for either which was great! The washing up room was also very clean and spotless. Again never had to wait.
They allowed me to charge my phone in reception which was really handy but they do have a free facility for charging anyway.
Being able to hire a firepit was a massive highlight. And having the wood delivered to you by the lovely owner was so easy. He also helped us get our fire going on the first night (and helped us pitch our tent as it was dark) : )
The walk to the beach was just stunning. We have a little frenchie who was just in his element! I'd read some reviews saying it was a tough walk and very rocky. Not true at all in my opinion. A standard country walk, with uphill bits, styles to climb over and rocky pebbles to get over onto the actual beach. , . As I said, standard country walk, and BEAUTIFUL when you arrive! We didn't actually get to see it when the tide was out so not much actual beach, mostly the rock pools and huge rocks to climb. Which actually made for a more fun walk for us all. The coastline is very rugged and breathtaking!
All in all we had a fabulous trip!
Thanks : )

We went to this campsite for a 4 night stay 14-18 august. The site is a lovely site with breathtaking views of the sea. The beach is a 15 min walk along fields and wooded area. Local shops/towns about 10/15 mins away. The owners were fantastic they would do anything for you, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities are clean and tidy. Have to pay 50p for 5mins in showers but this was plenty of time and felt more! Firepits and bbqs are available to hire. Value for money this site is fantastic and would recommend it to anyone who wanted to visit this stunning part of the country. The campsite is easy to find follow signs to plough and harrow Inn (which has some fantastic ciders!) and its 2mins down the lane past the pub. All in all a fantastic gem of a campsite.

All booked up a few weeks before our planned visit. The great weather we were having made us decide to go early and after a quick call to the owners it was all sorted. We arrived just after 9pm and it was getting dark. We were greeted very nicely and was left to pitch. We had a really large Tent and trailer which was not a problem as pitch sizes accommodate nicely. Our first morning we went to the office to pay our rent and after a quick chat to get familiar with the area our holiday begins. The owners cannot do enough for anyone to ensure your stay is comfortable. The toilet/shower area is a new building and spotless. I even bumped into the owners one evening at 10pm mopping the mens showers, like I said nothing is to much trouble for them. This site is a hidden gem. The beach is 15 min walk through paddocks and a beautiful wood but a very rocky terrain. Please bear this in mind with younger campers. The beach itself is has fantastic views and the coastline looks like something time has forgotten. I can only describe it as breathtaking. We had a 4 night break there and on our last night we wanted a BBQ. We asked the owners about this and they gave us one of their own kettle BBQ, s and we were chuffed as anything. We were given directions to the nearest town to a butchers for our supplies and again this is a hidden gem in itself. The butcher will do a BBQ pack for £10 or you can choose whatever you like. We opted for the kebabs, burgers and sausage all fresh. MMMmmmm it was a taste sensation. On our last night we had a large family gathering right next to us which ok we were not surprised. At around 9pm the music became rather loud. At 5 past it was silent as the owners were very quick off the mark to kerb noise pollution. So again please don't think you can blast your radios etc. Overall the campsite is fantastic. Very family orientated and everyone is so so friendly. We are definitely going back. This site is superb and for the younger campers there is a bucket outside the shop full of fishing nets and buckets and spades free to use. We even borrowed them. The beach is a must for anyone wishing to go. Great base also for Swansea, Barry etc. The owners are such nice people I cant thank them enough for making our stay one of our best ever camping trips.

My sister and I have just returned from a wonderful few days at this campsite. It is beautifully kept and the owners made us feel so welcome and cared for. The location is stunning with amazing walks down to the magnificent beach and along the cliff tops. Our kids felt safe and secure with only a limited number of pitches making this site feel intimate and like a little community. Its a real find!

A lovely campsite in a wonderful location. We stayed on a very busy weekend and although we never had to queue to use the facilities, just two toilets in the ladies was not really enough, often there was no toilet paper and they were a bit grubby. However, that is my only criticism. Considering the site was full to capacity we had plenty of space and it was quiet at night. The beach is about 20 minutes walk and if the tide is in very rocky. We swum off the rocks which was fantastic. The local pub is lovely and the food looked fantastic. Will definitely return but probably would avoid busy weekends.
