Lovely site with all amenities kept extremely clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the touring area is on a cliff top overlooking the sea and is extremely windy. We had to abandon the tent two days into the holiday as it was so windy and ended up spending extra money to stay in a static caravan. We asked for a basic caravan but the one we were given was lovely and we really enjoyed the rest of our stay. Mash and Barrel restaurant on site did a lovely meal with very friendly staff. However, the fish and chips from the shop on site were certainly not the best and had to wait 15 minutes for them.
Overall I would recommend this site but I do think it would benefit from a soft play area for the younger children (2 years and under) and it would be a good idea to create some shelter or even move the touring field to somewhere less windy.

The holiday park facilities have been covered fairly well by previous reviewers so I'll concentrate on the touring field.
Stayed on a non electric pitch in the nature reserve area for a 2 night weekend in mid may. Bargain price of £14 per night for 1 adult + 2 kids including access to all of the facilities. Wouldn't have been so happy of paying the £50 per night charged in summer hols.
Our pitch was lovely and quiet with only 6 other tents on the nature reserve. The pitches are not marked in this area and are slightly sloping. However they do seem to be the most sheltered on this very windy site.
The electric touring area was very busy, had marked pitches, was more exposed to the wind and seemed much noisier. I wouldn't like to stay in that bit.
Toilets and showers were very clean as were the 3 washing up sinks. Jan the warden was very friendly and said that they had got rid of a lot of the rowdier groups over the last couple of years.
Other things to note are the excellent recycling facilities, plenty of dog mess bins around & a bus that runs direct from the site to Weymouth beach. Go out of the industrial estate, straight across traffic lights and there is the fab ALFS fish & chip shop. Fantastic food and a 10% discount if your staying at the haven site.
Only real criticism is that the water points are a fair walk from the non ehu pitches and that the play park in the touring area could do with enlarging / updating.

Wow, having stayed at other Haven touring sites this one is definitely the best so far. The pitches are mostly overlooking the bay, we had pitch 101 which was set in a corner near the Nature Reserve and it was fabulous.
The toilets and showers were within easy reach of all pitches and were very clean, considering the site was full. Everytime I went to use them there was a cleaner in there mopping the floor. There is a small play area next to the amenities but then a much bigger playpark near to the main complex. Even though it was a bit further for tourers to walk to the complex than the statics this was by the nature reserve and had breathtaking views of the bay.
Littlesea has an outdoor and indoor pool. The outdoor is surrounded by sun loungers which were great to sun on whilst the children used the pool. The entertainment was good, and there was even things laid on during the day for the children. There are a lot of amusements/arcade machines which you have to walk through to get to the entertainment or the pool, but we didn't find this too difficult to limit our 4 children to a set amount of money. The crazy golf was fun, although at £18 for a family of 6 a little pricey!
As mentioned before some beautiful walks up the hill overlooking the sea, and again forget about the industrial estate because the site more than makes up for that. There is a shop on site which sells all that you can need, and there is even a Costa Coffee. The staff were all very helpful, there was a particularly jolly security guard, and it was nice to see that they checked all the passes before you could enter the complex, so be warned carry these around with you.
Cant really find any fault with the site, we had a fabulous time and have rebooked to come again. Oh and for just £51 for a 3 night weekend for 6 you cant fault the price either.

We booked in January to stay at this site for 4 nights over the Easter holidays, on arrival we were directed to the touring and camping area and were met at the wardens office by Jan who was great.
We were shown on a map to our pitch and found it with no problems, we had a 10metre pitch with ehu, but when we looked at the pitch it was barely covered in any grass and for it to be in this condition this early in the season does not bode well, however; Jan to the rescue! I popped back to the office and requested another pitch that was empty and were moved with no problems.
2 hours later we were pitched and all the gear in and assembled. Time to explore the site.
We have to say we were really pleased with the facilities, the toilet and shower block were really clean and each time we used them they were never full even though the site was full.
The camping gods were really kind to us with the weather and we were baked in sunshine all the time we were there, even sunbathed around the outdoor pool which was unexpected for mid April!
There are two pools indoor and outdoor which were very busy each time we used them, and with 2 kids aged 5 & 2 we used them a lot.
It seems as though a lot of money has been spent on this site as a lot of the public areas seemed to have that new look about them.We noticed that this site has been upgraded to a five star Haven site and having previously visited other haven sites in the past found the entertainment program to be of lesser quality than others such as Devon Cliffs for example.
Anyway back to the site- there is a nice nature walk around the headland and the views over the lagoon towards Chesil beach are spectacular.
We spent a cracking day on the beach at Weymouth and there is a Punch & Judy show, Pedalows and golden sand to enjoy. We found there are loads of roadworks going on in the surrounding areas but found out that Weymouth and Portland are hosting the sailing events for the 2012 olympics so didn't mind to much, however something to consider if you rely on a satnav as ours did get lost on the way in.
In summary we could give the site 10/10 for our camping experience but only 6/10 overall. This would have been higher but we asked to stay over for 2 more nights as there was availability due to the fantastic weather we had but were quoted an eye popping £84 per night (we paid £36 for 4 nights) a real bargain I know but 84 quid for a pitch was crazy.

As we drove down what can be best described as an industrial estate on the approach to the site, we were like, this is awful and wondered what we'd done by booking here. Turn the corner into the park and WOW what a change.
We camped for 5 nights and had a fantastic time, here are the things to note
1. Really great welcome by the tourer staff who actually showed us to our pitch and cleaned up some fat the previous tenants had left.
2. Toilet blocks are immaculate and in the mornings seem like they're constantly being cleaned
3. There is a play area by the toilet block but it's a little bit small but it's in great order.
4. Pitches are a little bit stony and the grass is a little bit thin where the tents go, guess it's to be expected but be warned.
5. It's about a 5/10 min walk to the main facilities of the camp which is better than some we've stayed at.
6. Entertainment is great for our kids and with Haven in general is something we come to them for
7. The whole park is immaculate, staff are friendly and the view from the mash & Barrel is superb
Don't be put off as you drive down through the industrial estate, the park more than makes up for that small 1 min drive. We'll be back again which saying it takes 5 1/2 hours to drive here is a sign of how much we enjoyed our stay.
Great base to use to explore the area but also the site is a great space to waste away some hours with the family.

Well, this site is very clean but that is as far as I can go. We booked a pitch for our tent 2 months in advance only to be told the friday before we left that there was no electric and could we 'up grade' to a static.
We were travelling with another couple that have a small child so had to take it.The shed, sorry caravan, was old,the door had to be forced to get in, stains on the sheets and carpet, the fridge was rusted and smelly the fire could not heat it as the windows did not shut properly.
So I went to reception to air my views just after I had walked around the touring pitches where I saw tents and caravans hooked up to electric! I was told that only some pitches where effected and the empty pitches were booked out.
This I would except however the other receptionist then booked in a chance motorhome with an electric hook up for 1 night. The view I had was of another static yet the views from the pitches were across the bay. Weymouth lovely, Littlesea far from it

When we arrived we had a really nice welcome and the site was really clean, the pitch was a great site with stunning views.
Toilets were the best I have seen and testament to the wardens who were very helpful and friendly.
Really nice walks along the coastal path and the site did not feel crowded although it was full.
I will definitely stay here again as it is a lovely area.

My wife and I are trying to emulate the BBC Coast programme by driving the UK coastline. We arrived at this site as the weather was changing for the worst so we were very glad of the serviced pitches with solid standing!
The facilities were spotless (despite the rain) and we were able to visit the evening entertainment as 'residents'. Most of the site is set to statics but there are ample touring pitches and camping fields which appeared to be flat and well drained.
Well done to Haven for making tourers so welcome!

We have just returned from a 6 night stay at Littlesea Haven site. The park has excellent facilities, entertainment including lovely swimming pool with very helpful staff.
The touring facilities were fantastic, upon arrival at the touring booking office we were greeted by Jan who explained were the pitch was situated and facilities available. The pitches were well spaced out and electric/water very near to pitch.
The toilet/washing up and lauderette complex was always clean whatever time of day. When asked what attractions were around Weymouth, Jan was very informative and even brought over discount tickets to our caravan later that day. Both Jan and her husband work very hard to keep the touring facilities spotless and deserve to be thanked.
We would have stayed another night but Haven expected us to pay £34.50, which at the end of the season was outrageous. The only negative we thought was the entertainment, two shows were repeated over the 6 nights and only one visitng caberet, so our 10 and 12 year old ended up most nights in arcade.
As I said would definitely go back again for the touring facilities and helpful touring wardens.

Stayed here during the six week holidays. The site was busy but not packed. We had space between the next person, enough to feel not crammed in. Upon us arriving the wardens made us feel at ease. They even remembered us from a few years ago!
The site is kept spotless by the wardens - they are a credit to Haven. The children's park in the touring area was good, although it could do with a bit more equipment and larger for the amount of children using it.
The downside was that it was by the entrance so children had to watch for traffic etc and also children tended to play around the toilet block opposite, a little time consuming telling little ones not to play there when so near to the park.
Overall the park is excellent and kept so clean, there are full facilities in the clubs for keeping even the pickiest children happy, and even entertainment for them at night with shows etc. The Haven entertainers are superb. People are polite - even the security guards! Absolutely brilliant site which we will be returning again and again.
