First time for 4 years and a bit has changed. First off the wardens are brilliant. They are always cleaning and looking after the site, they are only let down by the management and the kid who covers their day off!
The pitches are very bare and very stoney finding grass on some pitches was almost impossible. As a result people were putting tents on the edge of their pitches making some tents very close together. The toilet block has changed since our last visit, it is fresh modern and well maintained.
The playground on the camping field is small with only 1 normal sswing and 1 kiddie swing and a small slide, it needs to made a bit bigger.
Mash and Barrel was ok menu prices a bit high look for the deals that are on most nights (curry club, steak night etc). Beer prices about average, but then we have the entertainment.
The show type stuff is ok, you know what you get but its the stuff inbetween. At other sites they have party dances where the staff dance and interact with the kids and have a laugh but here they just place on a cd leave the kids to there own devices whilst staff try to flog photo's at £7 or bingo tickets. Indeed they only do party dances and get everybody invloved after 11pm when its mostly adults!
Considering the price to stay you would think a few more things would be free but nearly all activities are an extra and need to be paid for at a minimum of £5. The new crazy golf area is good though and a lot of effort has been made to make it look good.
So Overall
Wardens: 10/10
Pitch/ camping field 3/10
Site as a whole 8/10
Shop 7/10
Entertainment venue 8/10
Mash and barrel 7/10
Arcade 6/10
Site food quality 10/10
Site food price 7/10
Overall an ok holiday may return but my daughter is getting older and is starting to look at different things.
The only other point is if you arrive on a day that is not one of their main days, you do feel a little over looked and instead of being given all the information you need to know, you have to find it out yourself. We had to change passes because we spanned across two weeks but we were not told this and I only found this out by accident.

This was our first proper camping trip and we weren't too sure what to expect. The first problem we encountered were the directions supplied. Due to various recent road layout changes they are almost useless. We got there more by luck than judgement.
The pitches are at the far end of the site and other reviewers are right when they say it is windy. Quite eventful getting the tent up but once it was done and we could relax and take stock we were very impressed.
The shower block and toilet facilities are spotless. The showers are very good. There is a small children's play area which is very limited but our 4yr old loved it.
A short walk to the main reception area finds a good range of facilities. There are 2 pools ( one indoor one outdoor ), a children's' play area and various activity centres like archery, five-a-side football etc. There are extra charges for some activities.
There is also a bar/restaurant which has reasonable prices and good food.
The show bar provides the evening entertainment, which as it is free is of a very good standard. We had mixed weather and there always seemed to be something to do rain or shine so on the whole we were very impressed with this sight. We stayed 4 nights, Saturday to Wednesday, for about GBP100 which we think was great value.

Stayed at littlesea for 7 nights, we had what was supposed to be a seaview pitch but with the trees and shrubs it want a seaview at all.
The site is kept clean and tidy and all the touring wardens very friendly and very helpful.
They is a large toilet block which was cleaned daily,on one side is toilets and sinks and the other side is large showers and sinks, all the area of the shower / toilet block has under floor heating and hairdryers.
There is a family bathroom which you have to pay 10 pound for the key which is returned back when you return the key back.
The touring field is placed down the bottom end of the park and there is a slight hill to climb to get to the main complex.
In the main complex there is amusement arcade, mash & barrel bar with seating outside, papa john pizza a small play gym and a large evening entertainment bar.
Out side the complex is crazy golf, swings and climbing frames a sports arena and a indoor and outdoor swimming pool, when going into the indoor pool no outdoor shoes are allowed there have to be removed and the wheels my granddaughters pram where sprayed.
There is a fish and chip shop which is quite expensive and closes quiet early a star bucks coffee shop.
There is a bus service which runs from the park which takes you down to weymouth sea front we used this service and paid 2.50 for a return ticket. Overall I would rate this site 9/10 and will use again.

We choose a 'sea view' plot, which we later found out is actually a view of the Fleet Lagoon, which when the tide is in, is very nice, but when the tide is out just looks like a muddy field !
Nice site, most of the staff were helpful and friendly, although when we asked about local places to eat they refused to tell us, ok they have a chip shop and restaurant on site, but we like a change now and again (you can get food delivered by a couple of local Chinese and indian takeaways- Cafe India is recommended !
Site itself is very clean and modern, the touring wardens are friendly and keep the shower blocks etc very clean. Evening entertainment for our 3 yr old, was excellent. Although day time play areas are limited.
Security on site is very good, you cannot on site without a pass.
Will use again!

We stayed in one of their platinum range caravans. It was absolutely fantastic. Spotlessly clean, fully equipped. Lovely main bathroom plus an en suite toilet and shower.
Even though there had been two weeks of heavy rain the park amenities were very clean. Staff were extremely helpful and check in was quick even though there was a queue when we arrived. They had about 6 receptionists working which meant things moved quickly.
Nightly entertainment was great for my 4 year old. Not great for older kids though. We ate at the Mash and Barrel pub once. Very expensive for the quality of food. Wouldn't recommend this.
About a 5 min drive into Weymouth town centre. Plenty of great restaurants, pubs and entertainment.
We had a great holiday, despite the awful weather (I was really glad we decided to book a static rather than use our tent for this break!)and would recommend this site.

We had 4 nights on this site Sat-Wed. We were lucky to get a good deal from Haven of £39 which included 'funworks passes' to get into the on site facilities, so quite a bargain really.
My general comments about this site are if off peak season I would very much recommend this site. At peak times I don't think this site would be as appealing. Reasons being:-
There are pitches for approx 150 units including EHU, non-EHU and super pitches but only 8 toilets and showers for each sex and only 3 washing up sinks. This was fine for when we went but I can't see how they would cope if fully occupied.
Other comments:
- The winds can make it quite tricky erecting your tent.
- On site take-away facilities we reasonable value.
- On site 'Mash and Barrel' pub served nice food at reasonable prices.
- All facilities on camping area and main complex were clean and well maintained.
- Shop on site for groceries etc is a bit pricey but there is a shop just a couple of minutes drive away that is a lot cheaper.
- Short drive to Weymouth
- Friendly helpful staff on the whole.
- Unfortunately campsite wardens have the day off on Wednesday. We were not warned about this and this was the day we left and caused us some complications.
- £10 deposit for family bathroom key
- £5 for late departure subject to availability.
- Laundry facilities were expensive. £4 per wash and £1.50 for dryer.

This site is right next to the Fleet at Weymouth, and we really enjoyed our visit there. Lots to do for the kids, a small pool, play areas, and walks along the fleet.
The site was clean and the loo's and showers were first class. Whilst we were there the site wardens were regularly cleaning the facilities, which was hard at the time due to wet weather but they did a really good job.
The soils seemed quite sandy, so not as muddy as some other sites.
Evening entertainment was good for the kids, beer prices a little on the expensive side.
A good fish and chip bar two minutes from the site.

We had three nights over the weekend of 25/28 September when the weather was very good which was probably the saving grace.
Pitches were very worn making the whole site look very tatty. We took our dog at a cost of £3 a night and then discovered that we couldn’t take him in to any of the entertainment areas which we expected but he was even excluded from the bar terrace, so we although we paid for the facilities we couldn’t use them and had to pay extra for the dog for the privilege. Full price for the weekend was £84 which was very high!
The showers/toilets were good but needed cleaning more than the once a day that they appeared to get.
Our children camped with our grandchildren at the same time and loved it so perhaps this is an age thing.

First time camping at a haven site and I have to be honest what a disappointment!
The littlesea site is positioned at the end of what I can only describe as an industrial estate, although once through the park gates you wouldn't know.
Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there - 4 nights. The touring field is situated at the back of the littlesea site on a very exposed cliff area, meaning its very open to the elements. After pitching our folding camper and awning with difficulty with the amount of wind blowing across the field, our neighbours came back only to inform us the previous occupants had complained and then left because the pitch kept getting flooded.
The next morning after a night full of rain stepped down into the awning only to find the whole pitch ankle deep in mud!
Being out of season there were plenty of other pitches available so not sure why they put us back on that one, (although a lot of the pitches were under water).
From memory there was only one toilet/shower block, which was fine in September but very doubtful that this would be adequate in the holidays.
On the plus side it was very good value for money, the park and indoor pool good and the food in the mash and barrel very yummy.
I wouldn't go back though, perhaps try my luck at a different haven park?!

We just came back from Littlesea on Friday. It was our first visit to this site.
We were familiar with haven so the club facilities were as expected, and the Starbucks (franchise) was a nice extra. The site had both an indoor and outdoor pool and a crazy golf (£2 a head).
We were with two other tents (in our family group). We were put in what appeared to be the overflow field. It was nice and quiet, and we were right in the corner, near a nature trail path. When we arrived, the wind made it near impossible to erect the tent, but at least it was dry! We had a 'sea view' (the lagoon - a bit like an estuary).
The facilities were great: very new looking toilet / shower block, with disabled facilities, wash-up area, family bath room (deposit needed for key).
There was gas available on site, and the wardens office doubled as a little shop / tourist info centre (very nice lady who was nearly always around and was on the end of a phone if not).
The site was very quiet, all drivers were responsible, no crazy kids, crazy dogs or drunk noisy adults.
Only downsides were the motar and gun-fire from the army range approx 200m away (the kids thought it was great), the sometimes excessive wind (even though we were behind a hedge).
Site was 5 mins from Weymouth, 10 mins from Portland.
Generally I would recommend it, depending on what deal you can get from Haven, and what you want from a site (our pitch worked out approx £19 p/n).
