This was our fourth time visiting the drum and monkey. The new toilet block is a welcome addition, very clean, efficient lighting and background music.

The all grassed site is a little lumpy but well tended and we had no problems with our van. Liz the landlady is a star and the food etc in the pub is wonderful. The site is quiet, just 10 to 15 minute walk to the actual town.

I would definitely recommend this site nice clean and quiet. We are booking again for April and it will definitely not be our last visit this year.

This has to be one of the best of the best sites ever.

Toilets / Showers spotless. They even have clean fresh towels hanging up to dry yourself yes I have never seen this before. Also the heating and radio come on when you enter and water is nice and hot and to top it all the showers are free

The pub itself is also great and the food to die for. To be honest if your in the area and you go else where your a fool

We arrived at the site and were warmly welcomed by barman Paul, who was friendly and informed us where everything was. We were told to pitch where we liked. He told us that if we fancied eating at the pub we could pre-book and he let us take the menu back to the caravan to peruse at our leisure.

Paul also allowed me to pop into the pub for 10 minutes in the afternoon to use the pubs internet connection even though I was not purchasing a drink. Good customer service.

That night, after our friends arrived on site to join us, we went to the pub for a meal. Our friends paid for our meal as a wedding gift, as we had just got married recently and they paid for the best meal we ever had!

The food was delicious, the quality of the food was superb, the portions were just right. The rest of the menu was modestly priced and full of variety.

The waitress service had a personal touch as the lovely barmaid Jules made us feel very special and nothing was too much trouble.

Our group returned to the pub the following night for a drink and we were served by the Landlady, who was very friendly and fun, and ending up sitting with us for late drinks. We had a great night.

After our friends left the site, we returned to the pub on the 4th night of our stay for another meal. We had the same food again as we loved our first meal so much. It was again, just as nice, and Liz the landlady, was a great waitress!

The site is a great base to go and visit local areas. During the day, we visited Upton, Ledbury, Tewkesbury and Gloucester whilst we were there.

The site is easily accessed and whilst on the main road it is just out of the village enough to be quiet and peaceful.

Because we were self contained we did not need to use the shower block so we cannot comment on these facilities.

It seemed as though we spent a lot of our time interacting with the staff/landlady at the Drum & Monkey and we have never felt such a warm welcome at a site we have been to before.

If we lived locally we would be in this pub every week, but as visitors to the area, we will have to resign ourselves to going everytime we visit the area. We will definitely be returning to this site again.

Thanks for a great time - See you in 2016 - Crate and Elaine Carter

Found this site in the Caravan Club 'New Sites' section. The site is lovely - a grassed flat field adjacent to the Drum and Monkey pub. The toilets and shower block were not finished but looked really nice and we were advised they should be ready within days. Beware there are a few lumps and bumps in the grass and care should be taken when siting your caravan.

The pub is a delightful traditional 'olde worlde' building, having been originally established in the 17th Century. The landlady and staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced.

The site is very close to the lovely town of Upton on Severn with its lovely shops, restaurants, etc. Worcester, Gloucester and Tewksbury are all within easy travelling distance and for those who enjoy walking the Malvern foothills are close by. We will definitely be staying here again.

This was our second visit to this site, first been in april for a rally and this time an over night stop before going to the malvern show.

The Landlady is really friendly and so are the staff. We had a warm welcome on both our visits and we were able to find our own pitch when we visited in August.

The site is a little uneven to say the least so take care when accessing the grassed area, don't be deceived by the plush look of the grass as it it hides the dips well!.

Unfortunately the shower block wasn't finished so cannot comment on those but the building looks good so lets hope the same can be said about the finish inside.

We paid £10 a night for hook up and we were informed it will be £15 a night when the toilet block is finished, hope to return when they are finished.

The food in the pub is excellent as we ate there on both visits and not over priced. If they have the pie's on the special they are really lovely all home made too. The also have a bitter called Butty Bach that we can recommend as when we were there for the rally they ran out on the friday night as everyone seemed to be drinking it.

All in all I would recommend this cl site and will definitely go back again.

We chose this site as it was new on the caravan Club network. What they do not advise is that the ground is extremely bumpy and if you view it using Google earth you will see it was a ploughed field. It seems that the new management at the pub simply let the grass cover up the ploughed field. If they remedy this it could be a brilliant site.

We never saw the management at all on the weekend which was a Bank holiday. The toilet block was still in the process of being built so we only paid £10. However as we always use our own facilities paying £15 would be over the top. If the price was about £12 and the field levelled we would return.
