This was my first time camping on my own. Sheryl the owner was so reassuring re my situation.

I was in a tent without the electric hook up. But the site had every amenity I required. Out door kitchen with kettle, toaster and microwave.

The showers were hot and very spacious. I felt so at easy and safe.

I will definitely be booking again.

I have already told a few of my family and friends who like to camp.

We camped in an area just off from the main hard standing pitches which meant that we were in a nice quiet spot, the pitches here had no hookup, but as there is a little kitchen area with toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer and plugs for our chargers we had no problems.

The showers and toilets were lovely, plenty of room to get dried off, there was even a dressing table with hair dryer for those that need it.

There is an enclosed off lead dog area as well as a short walk around the site and the lovely duck and goose pond.

A lovely little quiet adult only site, highly recommend.

We have just spent 3 nights at Wood Lake, our first visit. Our pitch, on a grassed area surrounded by trees was lovely and we had plenty of space for our large tent and our car.

The site is extremely quiet with the only noise coming from the wildlife! There is a road that passes close to the site but we didn't find this to be a problem.

Our hook up was via an extension from a box on the main part of the site, so a good idea to make sure you have a good length lead, although we were offered an extension by the owner if needed.

The facilities are clean and modern although at the time of our visit there was only one usable shower as the other was being refurbished.

There was a nice area for campers to use with fridge/freezers, kettle, toaster and microwave along with a table to sit at and a vanity unit complete with Hairdryer. Tea and coffee were provided with an honesty box. We didn't use these facilities but thought they were a nice touch.

The site is well maintained with lovely walks through the trees and around the lake. There is also an off-lead enclosed field for dogs. You are only 10 minutes away from Hornsea on the coast with its attractions and shops.

Would highly recommend a trip to Hornsea Garden Centre which is dog friendly throughout including the restaurant which does lovely, reasonably priced meals.

This site is quite close to home for us but if we were looking for another short trip we would return.

Lovely clean site well maintained by the owner.

Quiet and away from busy roads, easy access to the sea by car but there is little opportunity for walks from the site.

Pitches are a good size, showers clean and plenty of hot water.

The barn with its added bonus of a freezer, toaster and microwave was useful for those camping without electric.

There is a pub in the village but it currently has limited opening so the car is needed for evenings out.

 Well run friendly campsite.

Ideal base for East Coast.

Close to nice beach and Hornsea.

Didn't get chance this time but would be good for visiting Beverly.

This is a nice little camping site, perfectly positioned and adults only,

Nice little touches like the small kitchen area are appreciated, we have been coming here for over 3 years,

The friendly owners, Sheryl and Roy, have recently upgraded the number of EHU pitches to cater for the demand and generate more custom.

The only niggle, now there are 48 pitches with only 3 uni-sex WCs and 2 showers (effectively only 2 WCs as one is in the shower room) means there is queuing for the facilities, I experienced it myself.

We were there midweek, the issue will be more apparent at weekends and holiday periods.

I am sure the owners recognise the problem and have it in hand, once sorted it will be a pleasure to return.

Absolute gem of a site, clean looked after and well run too.

The owners will bend over backwards to make your stay a great memory.

Adults only and pet friendly in a tranquil area is our type of site.

Everything was no trouble at all.

We will be back to visit again as you don't visit a site as nice as this only the once.

Great friendly welcome. Given a choice of pitches. Lovely site with lake… very pretty.

Great location in quiet village and only a short drive to the beach. We were told we could light a campfire and just take some logs from the wooded area which we did. And was lovely.

Fabulous for dogs… great exercise area where dogs can be off lead. Our dog was made to feel very welcome.

Great facilities with open kitchen area for use by campers. Amazing shower.

Wish we could have stayed more than one night.
