Toilet block very clean down side there should be a disabled toilet/shower with radar key only, always full with children.

You come out of the shower block and you nearly get run over by electric scooters or segways no rules at all for them they are dangerous when someone gets hurt that’s when they will have rules in place.

Pitches all a good size and level, the grass was quite long and all the boarders are full of tall weeds it looks a mess.

If you don’t mind going on a site without rules this site is for you.

Good walking and bike tracks next door.

Love this site. Now been a couple of times and will return. Great views, good size pitches, well run and very clean modern facilities

There is a small cafe/ bar on site which has outside seating with fab views of Rother Valley, which is fairly easy to walk to. (it’s uphill on the way back, quite steep and not good if you have mobility issues). Separate camping field which had fab views too

We used the Asia Palace takeway (delivered 1st visit picked up 2nd) it’s a 2 min drive away at top of road. Best Chinese food we have had and really good prices. Gullivers Kingdom at Rother Valley is a 5 min drive away

All in all a great site!

Love clean shower and toilet blocks. Laundry facilities 2 washers and 2 dryers. Lovely kids park.

Cafe bar nice and clean also has a shop but not a lot of choice but that's OK as there, s Asda and Aldi a ten minute drive away.

Overall a lively relaxing few days way with red hot weather.

Not a lot on site but a lot of kids whizzing about on bikes and scooter etc with not much road sense

Best campsite for facilities we've stayed in.

Rother Valley has good outdoor activities.

Sheffield City centre is 30 mins drive, Derbyshire Peaks and Dales is 60 mins.

Close to M1

We found this site to been clean, tidy and very well organised and clear. We received a welcome pack in advance and were personally welcomed on arrival.

It is far enough away from the main road but has easy access in and out.

Near and easy access to Rother Country Park and local shops.

The facilities are excellent, clean and well maintained.

Although being a family friendly site with many young families, we weren't crowded out by them as there is more than adequate space.

Great value and we will return

We booked our stay at Waleswood at the last minute when South Yorkshire was put into Tier 3 meaning we couldn't travel out of the county for October half term and what a fabulous site it is.

It has only been open for one season so the facilities are still new. The toilet blocks are well heated, clean and well appointed but the piece de la resistance for us was the provision of a few private bathrooms meaning we could have a soak in the bath at the end of a damp, cool day of dog walking.

We opted for a superpitch with its own tap and waste water point which was huge. The only negative about this site is the access roads are too narrow so pitching without a motor mover would be very hard.

This is just about the best site we've been on, the walks around Rother Valley are great for dogs and humans alike, nearby is the brand new Gulliver's Valley Theme Park for young kids and good shopping a short drive away at Drakehouse Retail Park and Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre.

Waleswood is only 14 miles from our home but we're already planning more trips next season.

A fantastic site, so pleased we went. Immaculate facilities, the best we have ever experienced, plus the café is a real treat have after a walk round the lake too.

My teenagers loved the mountain bike trails that started at the caravan site and we all really enjoyed the short walk down to Rother Valley and then the walk round the lake.

Have booked again already even though it’s only 15 miles away from home, it’s a fantastic place and so clean and well organised!

Great campsite I deal for gullivers valley fun park for young children 5 mins in car. Great location for Rothervalley country park if you like water sports ideal for mountain biking areas.

Toilet blocks really clean. Fully serviced pitches are appreciated as free WiFi. Great child play area.

The only negative thing I would say some people were driving far to fast on campsite could do with signs or speed bumps instead of signs on road to slow drivers down.

I noticed a lot of children riding bikes and go carts with no lights on at nightime I would hate to see a child injured
