Second time staying here to meet up with friends. Great location near the motorway, great views from the site.
Good walking from site. Pitches are excellent, the whole site is very clean and tidy, the licenced cafe is great for an early evening drink.
A friendly welcome. Lots of places to visit nearby.
Would definitely return.

Absolutely brilliant site all facilities and pitches very well maintained
Fantastic cafe/bar on site
All staff helpful and friendly
Nice walks and bike rides directly from site 15 minute walk down to rother valley country park.
Highly recommend this site
Is hard to believe its owned and ran by rotherham council, it's a really credit to them just a shame not more councils around the country can`t build these in their counties.

Site spotless
Toilets like new cleaning about every 3 hours. All staff very helpful. Very large pitches.
Cafe small shop, and you can have a pint. Kid's play area. Security on at night.
Fish un chip van Friday. Pizza cooked on site Saturday night. Local Chinese deliver to site.
Will definitely be back.

Handy site off motorway for a 1 night stop, pre booked so access easy and check in quick. Good sized standard pitch, facility block excellent with codes on doors.
Motorhome waste area as well. On site security were seen walking round after bar /cafe closes but was not really enforcing the quiet after 10pm our neighbour stopped partying at 12pm and most seemed to go on till then.
Good play area but kids still racing round roads and toilet blocks even though plenty cameras on site to monitor security.
Fish n chip van on Friday was great.
Facility blocks were spotless even though site was 3/4 full. Bar prices were average but good views from outside tables.
Easy access to rother valley country park. But I would probably not use again unless off season.

We used this site as a one night stopover because of its convenient location in relation to the M1 - less than 10 minutes' drive from Junction 31.
It was ideal for that but the bonus was the exceptionally high standard of everything about the site - fully serviced pitches, luxury showers ( so spacious ), impeccable standard of cleaniness, being able to chose a specific pitch when booking and a warm friendly welcome.
Also, there are walks direct from the site into the Rother Valley Country Park which was great for our dog.
I do not think we would contemplate staying for longer because there did not seem much else in the immediate vicinity apart from the country park ( we prefer to just walk from wherever we stay ) but for people who like to use a site as a base and travel further afield, I think it would be very appealing.

Lovely clean site with spotless toilets and showers,
Bar on-site is a nice touch
Although the price for the dog is a bit rich but if you use the promo code that off sets it.

Just like last year this was our first time out and again the campsite was excellent, this was the pitches facilities and location.
The local caravan shop came in handy again as we forgot a couple of things.
What a great site and great for dog walks and relaxing

First trip out this year, booked online found it strange that they do not accept non booked arrivals would be a good one for us to call if on the way home from the North.
Easy booking in nice friendly staff, good sized pitch fairly level.
Site roads narrow so lots of people seem to have churned the grass up getting on and off the pitches which is a shame.
Difficult time of year for the groundworks but did make the site look a bit scruffy.
Several motorhomes on site with lots of young children riding round on bikes and making a noise.
Facilities blocks were very nice, clean and warm but again young children going in alone and leaving paper on the floor.
Lovely walks down to the lakes and nice cafe and shops.
Lovely cafe on site which being licenced was a bonus.
Enjoyed our stay but not sure would like it in the summer when busy

Fantastic site, large pitches,
Spotlessly clean toilets,
Nice on site cafe bar although opening times are restricted,
Only gripe was £3 pn for our French bulldog.

This site was recommended by a friend.
It's a fantastic site.
Unfortunately I could only stay the one night.
Fantastic location with great views.
I'll go back to explore another time and take in some walks.
You won't be disappointed with this site.
