 We were looking for site in this area for a short break and what a find! It only opened 3 weeks before we arrived and there is still a little bit of landscaping being done - should be nice once it has all bedded in.
The site is really well laid out, very open bright and some great views. The facilities are excellent - obviously all new but well thought out. The reception area which sells some basic supplies is also a cafe ( with good coffee) and bar with a lovely outside seating area and also a good children's play area and it is open till 10pm.
You get a pass that allows you into the Rother valley country park- just a mile down the road - which has lovely walks and a water sport area, a decent golf course and cafe. - Normally £5 for a car to enter he park
The access road is a normal 2 lane road.
Very easy drive into Sheffield and not far to good walking areas in Derbyshire also / Hardwick hall/ Bolsover castle and Wentworth - all worth a visit

Excellent site. Pitches very generous, all the site is very clean and friendly staff. Toilets and showers are lush. Cafe bar very pleasant, small shop on site selling limited items, no caravan or camping things so if you need anything Sheffield caravans is close by.
Great location for water sports, bike riding and dog walking. Highly recommend this site if you’re wanting a lovely relaxing weekend. We shall be returning, thank you Waleswood for a cracking weekend.
