Just spent 2 nights at Ty Mawr, and enjoyed it.
As stated by others, there are 2 fields, and reception tell you were to go. I was on The Warren, which seemed to be where everyone was, except the one sole tent on The Meadows.
The Warren has 2 toilet blocks, which were nice and clean etc. They are also fairly well located, so nobody has too long a walk to make.
From what I saw while dog walking, the Meadows have portacabins, which are located in the middle of the field.
The pitches are not marked out. So it is a case of finding a space, and hoping nobody turns up and pitches too close too you during your stay.
Can not comment on the facilities, as I had a dog so could not use. Though the play area and pool looked quite good from passing.
The location is good for exploring and shopping. Buses are every 12 minutes in each direction up and down the coast. You have a Spar, Londis and Costcutter within walking distance (Spar being the closest). A short drive (or 50 minutes walking. I timed myself) will get you a Tesco in Abergele. Or you have an Asda in Kinmel Bay.
You do of course have an on site shop. But I didn't use this, so don't know how prices compare to the above mentioned options.
Check in was a really quick process. A quick check if I had been before, and then given my welcome pack.
This includes a label to tie to your guyline. I am guessing this proves you have paid etc. Though they do have a habit of sliding down the guy to floor level. And also being just paper, I can't see them lasting long in the rain.
Security seem to patrol fairly often in their vans. And can be seen walking around checking/looking for these labels on guylines daily. I had mine checked within 5 minutes of arriving at my pitch.
Overall, a really nice site. One that I am already planning on revisiting some time soon.

Visited over Easter weekend. Weather was very cold but nice and dry and site is in a great location for lovely days out. We went to dyserth falls and great Orme and colwyn bay. All great.
The site and its staff are truly awful. I suppose you get what you pay for, but they don't even get the basics right.
On meadows field Toilet block. Was porta cabins, clean enough. There was no chemical toilet emptying point. Pitches not marked and people way too close. Electric always going off.
Bouncers on club door, club house filthy, noisy. Why do they need bouncers??? Well a lot of the clientèle are so badly behaved its no wonder. The outdoor play area stank of weed and when entering the club house one of the bouncers asked my 14year old if he was Pissed!
Pool filthy and freezing.
Eating out. There isn't much about. Towyn is a dump as is rhyl but we found the best chippy in pensarn. Robs chippy, brilliant fish n chips
You have to be off site by10am and at 9. 55 we had 'security ' driving over to remind us. Believe me we couldn't get away quickly enough!
Don't waste your money or risk your safety

This is the second time we have stayed here this year and unfortunately the last due to the noise caused by some inconsiderate people.
There is 2 fields where you can camp on and its reception who tell you what field you are on, the field we were on there is 2 shower and wash blocks and both are in need of a update (Park Resorts please take note!). They are clean when the cleaner has been in them but yet again you get some inconsiderate people who don't care and leave them a mess.
Pitches are a good size but unfortunately are not marked out which could cause a problem when its busy. There is security which patrol the park but in my case was not often enough. We didn't use any of the park facilities due to having a dog with use so I cant comment on them.
The area is good for exploring, Conway and Llandudno isn't far away and a must is Betws Y Coed, a lovely village with a lovely water fall.
We will return to the area again has its great for exploring but not at this campsite again unfortunately.

I was disappointed by this site. The site itself is very clean with great facilities, showers were hot and toilets ect were clean. The pool was nice and included in the price. Pitches were nice and flat but unmarked so nobody knew where to pitch up. The biggest let down of the site though was a large group of people on the site who were obscene and loud untill early hours of the morning. I would not recommend ty mawr purely for this reason. Such a shame as the site is very nice as is the surrounding area

Stayed here over the bank holiday period 4 nights 24th to 28th august. After reading previous reviews was a bit scary. We arrived at 11. 30am booked in easily but beware no space on carpark for cars and caravans, had to park at side of road; lots of traffic especially busy because of bank holiday, and was told either The warren or The meadows field. We choose the warren as was near the park, as we had 2 children with us age 10 and 6. Finding space was easy, good layout, water point easy accessible but got very wet and muddy (not enough mats down} or drainage.
The showers and toilets were clean and well kept and it was busy on site fully booked. The elsan point was easy accessible and so was the washing up facilities. Ground level but in places grass a bit bare could do with a bit more up keep, there is a swimming pool with a flume the kids loved it, an arcade and 2 bars the sands which was excellent for the kids madness and mayhem a hit, although the beer prices are a tad dear, its a good night out with the kids. We also went for a meal in the farmhouse, well what an experience that was under cooked garlic mushrooms cold inside, got a refund though lol.
There's a chippy on site we had chips every night on the way back to the caravan, they were good and only a £1. 00 a cone. There is also a shop, its ok a tad expensive though on some items. The arcade has up to date gaming machines.
There is also quite a few security guards. To which were very friendly, and patrolled the park on regular occasions. All in all I would give the site a 7/10 for the entertainment, price, and hospitality although we had a few mishaps we all enjoyed ourselves and would return. Oh and Towyn is a great place, and easy access from the park. There is also a market called tir prince within easy walking distance near the fair this holiday has lots to do for everyone young and old and we definitely will be returning.

Stayed here beginning of month in a tent on non electric tenting pitch. Close to toilets which were kept spotless all the time which was a credit to the cleaner. Great club, something for all ages, good shop
Central to Rhyl, Pensarn and Towyn. Arcade for kids etc Security patrolled at night. Never managed to catch the chip shop open. Plenty of space between tents.
Office opened at 9 am and only took ten minuets to get signed in. Kids loved the pool, nice and warm and a nice little water slide.
Could get busy at bank holidays as was busy on a normal weekend, but it was a cold weekend. Overall we can't fault this site

When I visited this site it was during the very bad weather, I was given the opportunity to view the fields before I accepted my booking as some pitches were water logged. We stayed an pitched up near the shower block, which were kept clean and well stocked throughout the day. The entertainment block on site could do with some upgrading (doesn't look as nice as on the pictures) buts its a great site for kids. My son loved the outdoor playground. The pub on site did a family meal deal which was useful if we didn't want to cook. There was a lot of other sites close by and it was only a short drive to the nearest supermarket.

A very big site with lots to do for the family.
We stayed on the Warren Touring Field which was a short walk from the entertainment complex.
The field was a little muddy from all the rain but soon dried up.
Showers and Toilet blocks were always clean and there was always plenty of hot water.
The entertainment was a little under-rehearsed but my girls (7&8) loved it.
Pool and water slide were great fun for the kids.
The bar prices were astronomical at £3. 55 for a pint of larger and £4. 15 for the smallest glass of house red you have ever seen.
All in all we paid £107 for a week with EHU so we are not complaining.
We would return however it probably will get very busy in the summer.

I stayed at this site for 3 nights with my wife. On arrival we were told there were 2 fields we could chose from so we chose the Warren as this field was not as open and there were 2 shower blocks to chose from. As there had been lots of rain over the last few days there were lots of puddles and uneven pitches anyway we found one just a short walk from the shower block with our EHU close by. Shower blocks were clean but could do with an update.
I can not comment on the swimming pool as we did not use it but it looked ok. We went to the club house a couple of times, the entertainment was good but was more suited to families with young children. Drink prices were a bit expensive £3. 55 for a pint of Fosters when across the road a pint is only £2. 50. We did have a meal in the Old Farm House which was good and the prices were not to bad too.
All in all this is a great location for exploring north Wales and a cheep getaway as we only paid £11 per night.

Booked in for 2 nights Jubilee weekend. Arrived to be told there was 2 sites to camp on we drove round both, people just pitch up everywhere all on top of each other. Eventually we found a spot and set up camp. The toilets and showers were portacabins which added to the refugee feel. We went to check out the camp and noticed how close the caravans were to one another, some were for sale for £20, 000. ! The playground was about the best feature and our 6 year old enjoyed a quick play there. As the night went on it just got worse, drunks shouting. Loud music, police helicopters overhead, swearing (our daughter learned some new words I hope she never repeats), tent so close we could hear next door snoring. To the finale at 630am to the worst fight I've ever heard in public. With the weather not helping we decided to leave first thing. I suppose its not the parks fault its the clientèle. We won't be recommending or going back
