A very good site, the toilet block was kept very clean and tidy, as were the shower cubicles and pot washing room. The shower cubicles were large enough to allow a family to shower together, a brilliant idea!
There is a washing machine in the pot washing room and a large bin area, although they didn't operate a recycling facility (except glass). The kids play area was fantastic, the best I've seen, and the woods allow dog walking and wearing out kids, brilliant for getting them to go to sleep at a decent time.
The site offers caravan storage as well, at a very reasonable price, either on site or in the adjoining field near the farm house.
Barriers at the site entrance also made you feel safer during the nights, locked at 1030 and unlocked at 0630.
The nearest shops were approximately 3 miles away and it was only a local shop, however, 20 minutes away there was North Hykeham or Newark, depending which way you went off the roundabout on the A46.
Overall I rate this site as very good, the owners were very helpful, even moved someone to a different pitch so that I could see the play area from mine, very thoughtful and helpful. I'll definitely be returning to this site in the future!
Over all this site is what I would class as very, very good, good prices, good facilities and friendly, helpful staff, who could ask for more?
Improvements? The only things I can think of that could improve the site would be an on site shop and making the bin area recycle friendly. Can see why they haven't though, some people just don't care and throw stuff into any old bin, which means the site owners then have to go through all the bins by hand and sort them out, not a very pleasant job!

GREAT! we are a large group 2 adults and 5 children and loved it - my only moan would be the flies around the lake, however easily solved as you can just move to the other side of the field! there are two huge fields - the main one with the bathroom - which are clean with electric showers and the other, just a large field. Walks around the woods are great and Newark is not to far away for a trip out - didn't bother with Lincoln as would be like a busmans holiday! OK value for money however have stayed at better sites with more to do for less money but would def visit again!

We stayed at this site over the RAF Waddington weekend as our normal site was fully booked. We loved this site and we will be using it every time we go to the airshow from now on.It was very cheap, we paid £7.50 per night for as much room as you wanted. We stayed in a massive field that was the other side from the caravan pitches. Our 10 year old son loved it as there was so much space to play football, cricket etc. He also liked the football pitch and adventure play ground.
The toilet and shower block were adequate and as clean as can be expected. There are only 2 showers and we did have to wait a couple of times. However they're free and are electric showers so there is no danger of running out of hot water. They are also big enough for the family to shower together.
Fellow campers were very pleasant, our neighbour even jump started our car when we left the electric cool box on in the boot all night!
We are also going back for a few days in August so that we can explore Lincolnshire.
We found that it wasn't very well sign posted, can't comment on Sat Nav as we didn't use it.
It was lovely and quiet and an ice cream van came around every evening much to our delight.

What a lovely site. It was the first time we had been to this site, but it certainly won't be the last.
The pitches are well spaced out and you can easily fit a full awning and car on each pitch.
The toilet and shower block is basic but was always clean and we never had to queue for the facilities even though it was a bank holiday weekend.
The site as a brill play area which our 6yr old loved and around the site is a lovely wooded walk area and a pretty fishing lake.
There is no on site shop but the nearest spar and a village pub is 3 mile away. All in all we had a fantastic weekend with brill weather and will be returning in the near future

We went as a group of 4 adults and four children (of very mixed ages from 1 to 13) for the August Bank Holiday weekend, and all of us really liked this site.
As others have mentioned the toilet and shower facilities could do with some expanding and updating but they were always clean.
The play area is excellent, there are some lovely walks (and loads of blackberries in the lane) and an ice cream van came round in the evenings, and did a roaring trade (even the night he arrived at 8.30pm!)
The owners are very nice and helpful and helped us out with jump starting the car after the kids had been playing in it whilst we set up and not shut the doors properly and no-one noticed till the next morning. Oops.
Our fellow campers seemed a friendly and considerate lot and we would definitely go back as it was a really lovely relaxing weekend.

Stayed here for three nights, met up with brother in law for the fishing. Nice lake but a lot of the swims could do with cutting back ! some were unfishable. Fishing fairly good for the time of year. Friendly & helpful owners basic facilities but clean. Children's play area so a bit noisy at times. Would go back

We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. The weather was very wet but the campsite made up for it. We were in the top field where there was plenty of room for everybody. There is a great play area for kids. The facilities are good but there are too few toilets, showers etc at peak times.
Overall I would highly recommend this site and it represents great value for money.

A very relaxed site, we were in the top field next to the trees, which afforded some shelter from the wind. Lots of room for the kids to play, the play area is one of the best we have seen on a site.
Only 2 showers but as long as you didn't want to go at peak times you didn't have a long wait. Toilets were clean well stocked with loo roll.
Enjoyed our stay so much we booked for the August bank holiday when we left.

This site is lovely really clean and tidy. The toilets were very clean and so was the shower and pot washing room. We have a dog and there was a big field on the back of the site where we could walk him which was great. The price was very cheap as well. My 2 girls loved the playground and my husband now wants a fishing licence because the ponds looked great for fishing. We will be visiting again.

This site is an absolute gem, it is beautifully kept, lovely & clean amenities building, the wardens take no messing ensuring a well kept & peaceful site. The wardens are extremely nice people & helped us immensly when our exhaust broke by getting us a bandage for it. The lake is well stocked with fish, my hubby is looking forward to fishing now he has got a licence and the kids loved the playground. Well worth going back to, which we did the week after our 1st visit. I reccommend this site for anyone looking for peace & quiet.
