Absolutely fabulous. Everywhere pristine and lovely walks to the waters and really just a wonderful site. The staff were more than wonderful and helped everyone who needed advice or more. They had enough goodies and food in the shop so if you ran short you really could get by.
I have to say that this site is probably, if not the best, at least one of the best ever, we have stayed on.
Lots of birds here and even their own American Eagle Owl who escaped from somewhere 9 years ago but lives happily around the woods near the site. Every night she came to the trees on site and gave us all a hoot hoot. Just sad she cannot have a mate.
We had four nights here and didn't want to leave.

Just visited Grafham again after the refurbishment. This has always been a lovely site but has now got even better. Being a bank holiday it was full but we were lucky to get a large pitch. The play area for the children has been improved and now has safety matting. The toilet and shower facilities are amazing the showers are free with plenty of hot water and have the same controls as your home (no endless pushing of a button here) The site also benefits from an outdoor heated pool which although chilly was great fun for all the family. Even man's best friend is taken care of with entrance to the field via the site dog walking area.
Locally you can turn right out of the site and you are on a cycle route around the reservoir which is in the main flat and roughly about 10 miles around, if you don't have your own cycles with you these can be hired from a shop in the main car park of the visitor centre. We had an Indian takeaway from Grafham which was fantastic and good value.
Your nearest shop is Tesco in Huntingdon which is only 5 miles down the A14 although you can purchase bread, milk etc from the site reception.
Overall this is a wonderful site with all the standards you would expect from the Caravan Club. If you decide to visit I am sure you will love it, would also like to say how friendly the wardens and staff are and congratulate them on all their hard work.

On entering the site it looked very well presented.
The pitch was a serviced pitch, water, waste and electric hook up, on hard standing and looked really good. When we pitched our awning we realised that no way was there 10 feet between us and the next door pitch which the caravan club recommend for fire prevention! Our neighbours were of the same opinion when they turned up the next day. Some of the pitches are also quite difficult to get onto due to limited space to manoeuvre.
As usual, owing to school holidays, the kids were permanently cycling round and round the site which is always annoying when you enjoy the peace and quiet. There was a good playground on site and a swimming pool.
The toilet block was exceptional as usual for Caravan club sites, it's sometimes what makes the stay so enjoyable. The shop sold the usual limited supplies.
The local cycle routes are fantastic as are the footpaths in the surrounding area.
There is an Indian restaurant in the village just a short walk from the site which also has a small bar.
Unfortunately we wont be rushing back to this site due to too many pitches being too close together.

Lovely site. Very welcoming entrance with colourful hanging baskets and manicured grounds. Pitches aren't huge and if you are a novice can be a little difficult to manoeuvre into. I would also avoid pitching on 13A until the overhang on the tree has been cut as two resident pigeons liked to sit there and regularly deposit ribena coloured droppings in copious amounts, onto our awning and carvavan roof! Noisy to say the least and they stain! H owever, that apart, the site was very well maintained, the little shop had the basics, there was a washing machine and dryer which we made use of during the wettest couple of days in our 5 days away. There is a small play area for tinies but we thought it would be useful if a 'shelter' with benches could be erected for the older children to gather as they liked to do, to chat. I was turfed out off the loo at 11am on the dot by a very manly voice booming in to tell me they were shut for cleaning. Yes, I appreciate that, but at 10.50am, if you gotta go, you gotta go - and if it happens to take 10 minutes, there's not a lot you can do about it! Grafham Water is nearby within cycling distance and there are some very nice cycle routes around the area and the Wheatsheaf pub is a nice place to stop for lunch enroute with a nice beer garden. We were looking forward to being able to take our children to enjoy some water pursuits on Grafham Water - perhaps canoeing, sailing or windsurfing but we were very disappointed to find that there was nothing like this available to them and all that was happening were some residential courses. So the info stating that these facilities are readily available is misleading. I would return to this site again - but hopefully when the weather is guaranteed to be hot and sunny!

Nicely laid out site, clean loos and good showers with lots of changing space, never had to wait. Good pool for the children, but be aware there are no watersports available at Grafham Water, only bookable residential courses, this was disappointing, but not the fault of the site. Useful little shop with most essentials and site was quiet at night. However, some of the wardens were a bit overzealous, chasing the children out of the laundry room where they had gone to shelter from a shower of rain, they were doing no harm. There are some good cycle routes in the area, mainly flat and very safe, but to be honest not much else to do when the weather is grotty. Conclusion: lovely clean site, good showers, good touring site, but not much to do after a few days.

Used this site for just one night as our first trip away in our caravan, as it's fairly local. What a great little site. Many of the pitches are sheltered by trees and are of decent size. The toilets were always spotless. The wardens were friendly. Grafham Water which is only a couple of miles away is a good family day out. We would definitely return.

Just returned from a very wet weekend at Grafham. Had previously visited twice last year and was interested to see if any different now owned by the cc.
The wardens were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, always on hand to ask any questions, of which we always have plenty as only our 4th outing. The site was as immaculate as ever, the toilet/shower block was cleaner than ever. The small shop was better stocked than before which was great as the nearest shop is a 10 min car journey. The outdoor pool is currently being upgraded and will reopen shortly. The dog walk is clearly signed and a pleasant stroll. For a small site I cant rate it highly enough. The only downside being the limited climbing frame, although there is a large play park in Grafham village- just a short stroll down the lane. Fantastic Indian restaurant in the village too! My daughter (aged 3) loves it at Grafham. We cant wait to return soon.

I have just returned from a weekend at this site. The staff were very helpful. The site is well looked after and the facilities are spotless. Could do with a better play area for the kids but mine seamed to enjoy themselves anyway. This is the third time we have been to this site and I would be interested to see what changes the CC make to it.

We went here on a very last minute decision as we had some friends going, and although they were not releasing all the pitches due to soggy ground they found a space for us - so top marks for being so helpful and accommodating. They were really friendly to everyone. The pitches were a nice size, with great views across the corn fields. The toilets were very nice and very modern, with a key system. Each pitch gets their own key. Kids playground not great but OK, there was a little lake where we fed the ducks which was great for kids. Graftham Water was only a 2 minute drive away, a lovely walk round the water to a pub on the side which serves great pub food. One of the nights we were there we had a very windy night, and the site is quite high up, so the night was quite noisy with our porch awning tapping away all night but held up extremely well! You will need steel pegs to put any awnings up on the hard standing section of the site (only space for about 12 units on the hardstanding) all the rest were grass.

Chose this site because of the close proximity to our home on our first family tour out with our caravan.
This site is lovely, very quaint, quiet and beautiful. The staff were very helpful with helping us familiarise ourselves with our new caravan, and nothing was too much trouble.
The site offers a small shop, washrooms / toilets nice and clean, the only down side was that there was only a small play area for children. there is a good dog walking route outside of the site.
I will definitely return again soon, but will wait for the pool to be open in May.
