We stayed here the first week of the school summer hols the weather was awful it rained and was windy and sometimes quite cold. We stayed in a chalet it was definitely a throw back from the 1970s the heater was electric and had the old fashioned round plugs. It was a blast from the past. The swimming pool was really good very warm and when the sun did come out was a little sun trap the club house again was very dated and not much going on. The best thing about this campsite is the location the beach is amazing the kids loved surfing. St ives is about 20 mins up the road not very easy o park there we park at the leisure center and walk down. I will definitely be visiting here again but will stay at the haven site next time

I spent one night at Beachside on a backpacking trip, and was quite tempted to linger for a day or two more. The location is lovely, in between sand dunes and the beach, and in September the site was quiet and peaceful. The only slight drawback I found as a camper was the sound of roaring surf from the beach all night, so take ear plugs if you're a light sleeper!
Showers and loos were in good order, and there is a range of accommodation available, from brick-and-mortar cottages through more basic chalets right down to tent pitches. The welcome was friendly, and the site was easy to find after a long day's walk via Hayle and Phillack.
At £8 for the night it was a little more pricey than other places I camped, but still very affordable and I would be happy to stay at Beachside again.

Chose this site because of the web site & price, not been on holiday in England before thought we would give it a go. First impressions after an 7 hour drive were very good, unbelievable views of the cove in both directions worth it just for that. The site is very clean although it is rather like a large rabbit warren, they are everywhere, the staff are very friendly & helpful. Didn't use the pool though it look very clean & inviting, most of the other reviews tell you about how difficult it is to get to the beach well I've had back surgery and have 2 slipped discs I didn't find it a problem (40ish). Like I say for the money £550 a week its worth it, yes I would go back. There is plenty of pubs in walking distance that serve good food & Hayle has the shops you need but not much else. All in all I would say its the perfect base for looking round Cornwall, it's all within 45 minutes by car, one tip use the park & ride £8 return saves all the hassle of parking in st ives.

Not the best site I've been to, however, the staff were very friendly and the pool was nice. Showers average but clean and warm every time. Toilets - a bit like public toilets and not much clearance between the door and the bowl so you had to squeeze down the sides of the loo before you could shut the door - not good when you have small children! Toilets kept clean 'though. Pitches variable - I wouldn't fancy one underneath the enormous pylon! (we were close and it was noisy!). It was ok for our needs on this particular trip (I was visiting my parents who are getting on and not very well so couldn't stay there), but for a holiday I would try and go somewhere else.

Had a wonderful 2 weeks here. Weather was fantastic, so we had the ideal location right next to the beach. Very friendly and relaxing campsite. Swimming pool very clean. Our son loved the football pitch where he spent a lot of his time. Campers all respected noise levels at 10-10.30pm, which was great because we are early bedder's! Near St Ives which had lovely quaint shops and lots of lovely Cornish ice cream! Would highly recommend this site and would definitely go back.

We have just returned from a week at Beachside. We go to Cornwall a few times a year so feel I can comment quite confidently on this park as we have experience of all different parks in Cornwall. Firstly, the beach. The beach is stunning. The beach goes on for miles and the sand is soft and gorgeous. The sea is crystal clear. In fact, this has got to be the most stunning beach I have seen so far in Cornwall. It has life guards which is very reassuring when you have little ones. The beach is very close to the site but be warned, to get there it is ALL downhill, but to get back it is one of the steepest hills ever, a real hike (and I am very fit!) - not for anybody with a bad back or walking difficulties! We stayed in a Lodge. It was very spacious and very clean but I wouldn't class it as "luxury" as described in the brochure. Although it was clean and airy it was very "dated" and the sofa and furnishings had seen better days - I really think that they should be replaced. In fact, the furnishings were quite tatty overall - we paid £730 for the week which was quite expensive in comparison with other sites at this time of year. We found the card meter for the electric a pain because you had to plan to take showers and wait for the water to heat up, which isn't really practical when you have just returned from a day on the beach and just want to jump in the shower! But all that besides, the Lodge was fabulously located with the most stunning sea views you can imagine. You have your own patio area with patio table and chairs, which was a really nice touch. Overall, the park is very nice, the roads could do with a bit of maintenance as the majority of paths/roads were full of holes and large stones, which you could easily trip on. The staff there are incredibly friendly. The site shop is good, not large, but stocked a lot of stuff you needed. I found the reception staff very friendly and the maintenance people who you often see round the site always had a "Morning" and a smile for you. The swimming pool is lovely. Not large, but very clean and the water was warm. There was a life guard on duty who was very good. All in all, a gorgeous place to stay in Hayle and we will definitely return next year, but this time for two weeks!

We found this site to be friendly and welcoming. Good facilities, free hot showers, laundry, bar, games area with pool tables and an outdoor swimming pool. Access to the most wonderful beach via the sand dunes. Set in a lovely unspoilt area but only a few minutes from Hayle town with supermarkets, shops etc. Lots of sights within easy reach. We stayed in a tent, but caravan pitches and chalets available. Will definitely go back and highly recommended.

This is one of the best sites we have been to and we have been to a few around the country. The view is outstanding, the staff are friendly and the site is very clean. The showers and toilets were spotless. The shop was well stocked and friendly and the pool was lovely. We found the other caravanners were very friendly, our children have never had so much freedom(within reason). The pitches were a brilliant size ,we have never felt so relaxed on a site before. There was only one problem and that was with the path to the beach you need to be quite fit especially with a pram, 2 children and all the beach stuff, but once you got on the beach it was worth the effort just make sure you save some energy for the trip back up. Overall I would advise anyone to go, we plan on going back next year. My children never wanted to come home.

This was our first time camping. On arrival at 2am we were welcomed by a very helpful security guard. We foundt he site to be clean, and the site shop was very good, at normal prices. Everybody was friendly, the beach and pool club really good. We have booked again for next year, very peaceful site.

Loved this campsite! Beach only yards away, with a steep slope to get to it but once at the bottom you will have to go a long way to find cleaner, pebble free sand. Two play areas for the kids plus football pitch, volleyball area and general field to play on. All over looking the beautiful turquoise sea. We stayed a week in a tent and were a bit concerned about being exposed to the elements from the sea, we needn't have worried it was a bit windy somedays but it didn't feel as bad as we thought. The toilets and showers were always clean if a bit dated. The outdoor pool is great with a separate paddling pool. We can't comment on the bar because after going out every day we couldn't be bothered to go out again. Overall a brilliant site and we will be going back next year.
