A very pleasant site, although the ground was fairly muddy when we arrived following rain.

Toilets and showers clean although they are in the static field rather than on the touring field.

Staff very welcoming, not too far into the local village with a very nice chippy.

The pitches seem to be very different in size, we had a large pitch which was in the middle of 2 smaller pitches.

Would go again

Visited the site for a weekend break with friends it was in a good location with a lovely pub literally 1 minute away. On arrival we located the warden Steve who is lovely and he showed us to our pitch and the shower block. We went out for walks and mingled with the locals at the bowling green pub this is dog friendly as some of them aren't so maybe check first

The shower block was always clean and tidy and free showers a tad dated but clean

My only negative comment is you have to walk past the static caravan field to get to the toilet block and the first one that you have walk past must be fed up of the ' cheap seats' as referred as walking past. It was a little awkward at times.

The warden has his hands full!

I would love to go back but maybe a separate toilet / shower block would be ideal so that campers are separate from the statics

Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. Great little site. We had a lovely pitch and all the facilities were clean and tidy. There were only 3 showers in the ladies and I initially thought this would mean they would get very busy but I was wrong. As the site was mainly used by camper vans and caravans the toilet block was always quiet. The showers were fairly spacious but most importantly hot. Generally the site was quiet between 11pm and around 7:30am so no disturbances.

The shoulder of mutton pub in the village served great food. All in all a fantastic trip and we will definitely use the site again

We booked this site in Bradwell, based on reviews of UKcampsite. It has all the necessary amenities and is well situated for the area. Site was clean, and we thought the price was reasonable for a motorhome, £17 inc. Hook up, and hot showers. Only thing lacking was no electric sockets in ladies showers, would be very handy. Wifi is available at a charge if you need it.

The site is on the edge of the village, and walking distance to local Co-op and 3 pubs. We thoroughly enjoyed the food at Ye Olde Bowling Green. The Desperate Dan pie was huge and according to my hubby, delicious. There is a fish & chip shop in the village and of course Bradwell's Ice Cream shop where ice cream has been made for over 100 years.

The Warden at the site was friendly and around most of the day to assist. The only down side was that it did get a bit 'full up' as was also mentioned in an earlier review, and our neighbours were very close on one side, about 5 feet between actual vehicles. We assumed this was because it was Easter, but I'm sure there is supposed to be some sort of Fire regulation regarding distance between vans. However, this will not stop us returning, we just won't go on bank holidays and will pick our pitch accordingly next time.

In terms of location there are regular buses into Hope and Castleton and Hathersage, and the bus stop is only 5 mins from site entrance, so we could go out and about and have a beer and not worry about driving; plus no car park charges either.

This was our first summer owning a small RV (25ft long 6. 5 tonnes behemoth is small by US standards!). We chose Eden Tree as it was fairly close to where we store the van and it could accommodate us. We had a few nights in mid-August and a couple in early September as well.

Being new to motorhoming we weren't sure what to expect but we loved it. On our first visit we got a decent sized grass pitch that may have actually been two pitches; for our second visit Steve, the warden, sorted us a large hard standing pitch at quite short notice. He was also really helpful with some of my basic schoolboy errors that I'll not elaborate on!

The showers and toilets were clean and warm; not stunning but not shabby.

The site itself is very friendly and gives a really good vibe; it is helped by being in a very pretty part of the world.

Bradwell is a very nice peaks village.

We will certainly go again

Eden Tree camp site is so lovely and peaceful.

We arrived unannounced and the friendly warden showed us a few pitches to choose from. Toilets and showers clean and free.

Children played on the bikes around the site generally uninterrupted by cars. ( We always ask our Children to think of others).

Bradwell Village is splendid with a quaint pub called the Bowling Green we only had drinks here in the beer Garden at the back which has lovely views.

Easy walk from the site.

We paid £21 per night for two Adults and 2 Children in August.

The site overall was quiet, clean and well maintained cant say a bad word.

We shall be back

Visited this site for the first time at the Whitsun bank holiday. Arrived mid afternoon and was given a mobile number to ring the warden that we had arrived and needed allocating to our pitch. The warden was very prompt and friendly and gave us a few options of pitches. We picked the easiest one we could see as the others needed levelling or looked a bit awkward to manoeuvre. After we had pitched up (no rain) another couple came to pitch next to us (raining) and got stuck with their wheels spinning - no worries the warden came and got his land rover and got them into position, which we thought was very nice of him.

The site itself is quite random and small and the statics have the best side, but its fine. You need to walk into the static side to get to the toilet block, which is basic but quite cosy as some do feel a bit blustery and chilly still. There is also a single toilet which proved very popular and a good idea if you like to have a bit of privacy on the privy!

The village is nice and has approx. 4 pubs all friendly, but a bit quiet to say it was bank holiday. There is a restaurant (not a pub really) outside the entrance of the caravan site. We had a meal on the Sunday which was very nice but it is not 'pub grub' more fine dining so fine dining prices.

The surrounding area is gorgeous, Castleton is only a short bus ride (dogs can use the bus too - charged us 40p)they run to 11:20 which we thought was good if you fancied going for the whole evening. Hope is also close by and you can walk over the fields but watch the cows! they are inquisitive!

All in all - we enjoyed everything. No complaints about anything, and will definitely like to return. Go on book it - you won't regret it!

We booked onto this site a few weeks beforehand and were surprised to hear that we had to pay a ten pound surcharge as it was a bank holiday.

The site was busy when we arrived on the Friday and just got fuller. There were units in every available space and, it seemed to me, some crammed in between the spaces. I have never stayed on a site where there were such close neighbours in every direction. But I have now. It really put me off the site and I don't think I would stay there again. There are others in the immediate area.

on a positive note, the pitch we had was flat. The showers were free and hot with decent water pressure. The warden was very helpful and friendly and, as mentioned on many reviews, the village is great with several pubs to choose from.

We found the food in the shoulder of mutton to be great, and in the bowling green not that good. The shoulder of mutton has a quiz night on Sunday. There is a children's play ground in the village which looked to be well maintained

Good site if a little pricey. Showers and toilets were always clean and available although the site was far from full. Lovely little village and very friendly and helpful site warden.

Would stay here again, the pubs in the village were friendly and warm and the surrounding area lovely for walks.

The site is mostly for caravans but the small area for tents is ample and the pitch size generous. We used the electric book up and had no problems.

Came across this little gem of a campsite almost by accident as we drove away from the Hope and Castleton area. We had a good choice of pitches for our tent and chose one by the hedge. The ground was level and the grass was in good condition. The warden was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. Showers and other faciltities were excellent and an easy walk from the tent.

As other reviewers have said, bradwell is a great little village with more than it's fair share of pubes and shops. We ate at the pub/restaurant one night. The food was very good quality, but don't expect pub grub! The Bowling Green in the village is very friendly and there's plenty on offer to satisfy the biggest appetite.

The site is very well situated for a range of activties in the area. We were walking and there was plenty of choice; north to the dark peak and south to the white peak.

Overall a very pleasant and relaxing experience.
