Well what a pleasure to spend a weekend on such a lovely well maintained site. We were greeted and caravan sited with help from a lovely man who made sure we were level and everything explained to us. The area was clean and well maintained. The toilet and shower block was clean. We went into castleton for the day and enjoyed it too. Although we had rain that weekend we enjoyed it. The only problem because it is off the main road there is no sign and we missed it but advice is to ook for newly refurbished pub

We booked this site for a long weekend (Fri-Mon) and in general this site has just enough of everything! It is very well presented and maintained by the on-site warden, who greeted us on arrival. We were shown to our pitch where a slightly uneven pasture was presented.
The area surrounding Eden tree is without doubt 'amazing' with rolling hills and superb towns like Bakewell and Tideswell, you would struggle to surpass.
Do try The Samuel Fox Country Inn just outside the camp as the food, drink and staff are excellent, plus the kids were more than welcome.

A friend recommended this site and as it is practically on our door step, we decided to book in for 2 nights. It is advisable to book in advance as the site gets very busy. And I can understand why - it is possibly one of the best sites and best camping weekends we have experienced.
The wardens were very helpful in showing us to our pitch and explaining the do's and don'ts of the site. They run a tight ship and it shows in the way the campers respect the site. Be warned though, the wardens office is at the very end of the site and for those who are not confident in turning their unit round to be located at their pitch,it is advisable to park at the entrance and walk down.
The site sits in a valley with glorious views all around. There is a paragliding club in the hills to the rear of the site and the views are spectacular. It was tremendous weather and we just hung around the site all day. It gently slopes and is planted with colourful flowers. The toilet block is situated on the static caravan field and is cheered up by flowers on the windowsills and a variety of books and magazines left by fellow campers. They were clean and never busy.
The children were able to play safely. There are no facilities for them but just being able to play in the fresh air with no worries is enough. The site was very quiet at night. We did not feel any hostility from the static caravan owners who were all very friendly and welcoming.
We took a walk into the village and bought a famous Bradwell icecream from their shop. The icecream factory is open weekdays. Just behind the shop and along the river is a really good park for the children -and many adults! - to play on.
The site is ideally situated for the many attractions in the area and for those either wanting a relaxing time or walkers or sightseers. I would definitely recommend it to others and visit again.

A group of us stayed here again this year - we had previously stayed before - 2 campers, one caravan and a tent. The warden was very co-operative (as before)in letting us set up in a convenient arrangement all close together on the bottom (flat) area. This meant that we only took up 2 pitch spaces, no doubt a boon to them on a busy summer weekend.
Wouldn't like to stay on the hilly section, although a couple of friends stayed there a couple of weeks later and managed all right, but we have always been allocated the flat area at the bottom.
I have to echo what some other reviewers have noticed. There was quite a noisy family group opposite us, and (presumably) some off the regulars / residents had objected to the racket, so the warden had to ask them (and us) to keep it down, although we didn't feel we were too noisy.
The toilets are good and clean, nice touches like brochures for local attractions, and the toilet emptying place is handy for the hard driveway, with a turning space near it, very useful if, like me, you are a bit disabled and prefer to drive the camper over to empty the toilet on the way out.
Love the pub by the entrance, real load of local characters get in there, good beer (guest) and sensible food with good helpings.
We will be going again.

We stated here for 5 nights, Wednesday to Monday, it was very quiet and peaceful during the week but did get quite busy over the weekend. We arrived at the end of very prolonged wet spell and the site was quite wet but the warden who greeted us when we arrived couldn't have been more helpful, he personally showed us to our pitch, helped us site the caravan and even had chocks ready for us to use. The site is on a slight slope but this didn't cause us any problems. The pitches are fairly small, which wasn;t a problem during the week, as we left our car in the seperate car park, just a few feet away, but at the weekend the car park is used by the residents of the static caravans, so we had to park our car next to the caravan and found there wasn't alot of room to do so. The shower/toilet block was always very clean and even when the site was busy on the Saturday and Sunday I never had to wait for a shower cubicle. There was always a plentyful supply of hot water. Also nice homely touches like flowers in the window sill, magazines and books left by other visitors that you could borrow and even a Bradwell Parish News letter. Bradwell village is a pleasant village with god amenities, there is a small supermarket, a bakery, post office/newsagents,fish & chip shop ( very tasty food but be warned they only have cod fried ready to serve, if you want haddock you have to order it) and several pubs. We found this a very convenient place to stay for seeing the Peak District, close by are Castleton, Hope, Eyam and a host of lovely walks.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend spent at this site - it is in a very convenient location for exploring Castleton and the surrounding area and there is lots to see and do here. The wardens are very friendly and helpful at this site but we couldn't say the same for the regulars. There were a large proportion of middle aged miseries who thought they owned the place and gave us sour looks all weekend - both those who were staying in seasonal pitches and those who owned static caravans. Not a friendly place from that respect. There were also a number of seasonal caravans that remained empty all weekend and gave it a feel of a ghost town. However it is a very pretty site although rather sloping. As previously stated the immaculately clean toilets are through the static field and that field has by far the better views as the touring field is rather encompassed by trees which also makes it shady as the sun goes down. Don't think we'd go again as there is nothing for children to do and nowhere for them to play other than outside the caravan. Also the regulars kept making snide comments about the owner saying he was going to get rid of tourers as he was sick of kids they were too much trouble (although we felt ours behaved impeccably throughout the stay), which made us feel rather unwelcome. So the area is beautiful and we had a wonderful weekend there so we will definitely be returning but will try a different campsite next time.

My husband and I have stayed at Eden tree house caravan park many times over several years. We have always enjoyed the site and the local scenery however this year the park has surpassed itself with the inclusion of the wardens Carole and Peter. Two more helpful and approachable people you could not hope to meet. Thanks to Carole and Peter this good camp site has now become excellent. there are excellent CLEAN facilities and some nice Places to eat locally and I look forward to next year.

Though this site doesn’t have any views from the touring field, it is pleasantly landscaped. The touring field is quite small, sloping and the units didn’t have much space between. Booking of specific pitches by regulars (which were vacant when we arrived) meant that we couldn’t pitch where we would have liked. There was no room for children to play ball games which is either a good or a bad thing depending if you have children! The site was generally quiet during the week. As most do, it got a bit noisier at the weekend and the nearby pub had loud music until 11ish on some of the nights. There is a cement works about a mile away which runs 24/7. At night you could hear the turbines and lorries reversing. We got used to it eventually though and it didn’t disturb us after a few nights. Our tent did get covered in white dust though! On the plus side the showers and toilets were clean (ladies’ typically better than men’s apparently!) There were ice pack freezing facilities which were free and there is a local supermarket which sold a good range of food. The location makes a great base for visiting the popular tourist attractions and has fantastic walks around Castleton and surrounding areas.

A lovely little site with a helpful friendly warden, a carp pond ( carefully fenced to be safe for children) lots of trees and grass, near the village of Bradwell. It's a good site for motor homes although there are limited hard standings. It has clean loos and showers and a loo near the chemical waste point. The village has 4 pubs withn a few minutes walk and they do food too. The co-op is handy for provisions but although the baker's does great breakfast sandwiches, not a sticky bun or gooey cream cake was in sight!( sigh) It's very convenient for walking to Castleton and Hope, and Edale. The only drawback is that the spaces between units are small- it didn't affect us as we were helpfuly put next to our friends but the pitches are very close together.

We love this site. Its small and very well looked after. In a sheltered position. No playarea for Children may not suite familys, which makes it a quite site. Nice for a relaxing break. Been twice already and we go back next year. With our new tent! The Showerooms & Toliet blocks are very clean with hot water throughout the day. We were made very welcome by the owners who live across the way. Small Pub well within walking distance, very nice & friendly owners, with good proper Pub Food at a good price too. Co-op store in the village of Bradwell for all your needs, Fab cob shop across the road, recommend the breakfast cob, and a Chippy what more do you want ? Just good Weather !
