Stayed here for 4 nights and loved this site. Really well kept with immaculate facilities. Really friendly wardens, and caravans with kids were kept in one separate area which meant they could all play together and meant that customers without kids were not disturbed.
Lovely walks nearby down along the river. Huntly castle is well worth a visit and a Tesco and asda within a mile of the park
Site also has a great kids indoor soft play area although it gets quite expensive if they want to go there every day
Would definitely come back here, highly recommended

We had a great time in Huntly despite the weather, thanks to the Bogie Dragon indoor play area. Our 5 year old had great fun in the campsite, there was plenty of room to run around and an outdoor play area on site also.
Will definitely go back very soon to explore outwith the campsite as problems with tent meant we did not do the things we intended.
The on site facilities such as the toilets, showers and dishwashing facilities were all clean and in good order. The staff very very helpful and friendly.
Thought it was a little expensive compared to others but it was the first time we had used an electric pitch, so this may have been the reason.

Lovely site in a lovely town with lovely wardens.
The site is an ideal base for touring Aberdeenshire, felt really 'at home' here
The site is clean & tidy & child friendly
There are play areas on site, but a 5 minute walk in the direction of the dry ski slopes takes you to a brilliant park by the riverside.
Went to visit the peregrine falcon area about 5 mins drive away which was well worth a visit
Had a drive to Aberdeen & spent the afternoon at the permanent fun fare which was very cheap & the kids had a ball
Will be back to this site

Very pleasant stay for our three children, made by the allocation of caravans into areas for children where requested. The 4 areas work well. Tourers can stay on a few different areas, one grassy area where there are mainly tents and some tourers, one area for mainly adults only and two areas with children play equipment. Arrived and were put into the bigger children's area which had lots of other children for ours to play with so it was a hit.
The site has a self appointed resident grumpy ginger cat that does not like dogs so watch when out walking fido. He stalked our lab half way round the site a couple of times, staying a few feet behind us and then running in to try to take a swipe totally unprovoked. Friendly with humans though.
The play equipment is not extensive, but enough and the circles that caravans are plotted in gives great track for kids and their bikes. If it rains, be prepared for wet and muddy, but happy children.
Toilets and showers clean and well maintained. Laundry facilities expensive at £2 a wash and Dryer 50p for 15 minutes but ok if you really need to.
Wardens helpful, courteous and very good with the site children of which there were many. Freeview on hook up but you need a cable but if you don't have one, you can buy one on site for £15. For a 25 metre cable.
Local area is quiet and welcoming. Locals are friendly. Asda and Tesco within a couple of minutes drive so no need to drag loads of food with you. Small children's entertainment centre on site with play castle, pool and snooker table which helps on a rainy day.
Huntly has a ruined castle to view, swimming within walking distance, quite a few children's play parks, nordic ski centre, falconry centre and easy access to lots of other towns locally. A good base for the North East of Scotland.
We'll be back soon. The only downside was the weather and the price.

Site very clean and tidy - and fairly over priced - £19.50 for members was steepest we paid in 2 weeks. When we mentioned this were told its high season - maybe but still over £5 per night more expensive than comparative sites.
As previous have mentioned site split into 4 areas - we are couple without children so they put us next to the play area - other families with children put on the area without play facilities - didn't make a lot of sense.
We asked for motor home empty area and were directed to a small drain on a gutter - its just a normal drain. We had a small van and could reverse over - don't think larger motorhomes could empty safely here.
Nice walk through a footpath into Huntley - quiet town with a few shops and a couple of nice hotels serving drinks and food.

I have just returned from Huntly Castle caravan park and would like to recommend this site to fellow campers. The site is spacious and beautifully maintained,it is divided into different areas which are aimed at peoples family requirements. The toilet/shower blocks are exceptionally clean with comfortably hot water and warm buildings. There are small play areas dotted about the site for the younger children and numerous fields and woodland paths for the more adventurous to explore plus a beautiful park / activity / picnic area towards the back of the site and adjacent to the river Devron
There is a wonderful feeling of peace and tranquillity and complete safety.
The wardens were always pleasant and very helpful, with someone on duty from early morning till about 11pm.
Huntly itself is a small, friendly community and is an ideal base for touring the area. Though Huntly is a small town there were activities on the two weekends I was there, the later being a fund raiser for cancer research where A fantastic £50,000+ was raised in 36 hours and lots of free entertainment for all ages.
We visited Aberdeen, Inverness, Macduff, Banff, Balmoral, the Cairngorms Elgin and smaller towns all within reach.
Again thanks to the wardens for keeping things running smoothly. I will be returning to Huntly and would recommend the site to lovers of beautiful countryside, fresh air and peace.

A very nice site, which though it got busy (bank holiday weekend) didn't seem at all crowded. The site itself is broken down into areas each area having toilet / shower facilities, which were always spotless. In a previous review it as mentioned that the showers were scalding, I think this must have been remedied as showers were warm without being too hot, and certainly the kids had no problems.
Their are a couple of play areas on the site itself that are good, and of course their is also Bogies Castle. Was informed by the wardens that if you inform the staff in Bogies castle you would get a discount and could come and go all day. We told the girl on the desk we were on the site, who asked our pitch number then promptly charged us full price (£4.20 for two hours per child) so not exactly cheap.
If you walk about 400 metres out of the back of the camp, you get to the Nordic ski centre, which then leads to a great park next to the river Deveron. The park has plenty of benches and places to use disposable barbecues. If you carry on along the road, you go past Castle Huntly with its visitor centre, and just after this there is yet another park making it an ideal walk with young children.
The town itself is a little quiet, but very pleasant. Would certainly recommend a stay here.

This was our second trip to Huntly Caravan Site after really enjoying our stay last Easter (despite the heavy snow) which the kids thoroughly enjoyed.
Not so impressed this year - not value for money in comparison to other sites. There were 2 new sets of assistant wardens who were lovely but really not at all up to speed with things. The showers were scolding hot and just about burnt the skin off of adults needless to say we couldn't use them for the children - no toddler or baby facilities.
Only 1 washing machine & drier working & the spin drier poured water all over the laundry.
Wifi very overpriced at £6 per night or £25pw.
The kids loved the area as there was plenty for them to do near by - a hudge play park beside the river - the nordic centre and local swimming pool.
I grudged paying for the indoor adventure play after paying so much per night for the pitch and no discount for the indoor activity.
The kids enjoyed their Easter break but we won't be returning to Huntly!

Excellent camp site, seemed to have 4 areas in the park 2 for family tourers, 1 for maturer persons without children and 1 for statics.
Toilet facilities immaculate along with laundry, Laundry quite expensive at £2 for a wash and 50p for 5 minutes in the tumble. Tumble took around 25mins for a load.
Onsite was Bogies castle, a soft play area for kids costing £2.90 per child. There is also a full size Snooker table, pool table and badminton there also.
Huntly castle close with the nordic Ski centre where you can go tube-ing, excellent fun for adults and kids!
Ample pitches with Hard standing, TV points on pitch to Freeview, take a cable!
Going back next year, bet the summer time good!
Cannot fault it apart from the kids play area is a bit meagre.

The site is great but a weekend is long enough there is not much to do in Huntly. The toilets were clean and tidy and more enough for the size of the site. Plenty of room for the kids on there bikes and nice couple of play parks. Also a great park a short walk from the site.Only one moan, On Sunday where we were told to pitched is where they store caravans for the week. So when we got back we were jammed in. Some people have no thought. As we were there till Tuesday. Will be going back but will be asking for a different pitch.
