This is a well organised campsite with good sized pitches. The shower/toilets blocks are fine. Shop is well stocked. Went to try the bar but it was not our cup of tea as it was catered just for families really with Saturday night blarring out - or something like that. But it was not a problem as we walked to the pub 10 mins away and they went into Newquay on other nights. I would recommend this campsite as it's only 20 mins walk from Newquay. Only negative point is that the lady in the shop was not too friendly but other than that it's worth a visit.

This is the third time we've been to this campsite now and think it's great. It's a very neatly kept site, with the owner/manager regularly cutting the grass and maintaining the pitches, emptying bins etc. Our previous two trips here were perfect and no problems to report. When you check in at reception you find out straight away how helpful the staff are. You are given a big information pack full of local tourists attractions etc which is brilliant. It's possible reception is open 24/7 as we saw it was open at 4am one night. We went with some other people this year and booked two pitches together. Unfortunately our new tent didn't fit in our pitch so off back to reception we went. We were lucky enough to be able to swap pitches as other people hadn't turned up yet. Reception couldn't have been more helpful. There is an on site shop, a cafe/takeaway which is okay, pub okay with entertainment on most nights in peak times. The only downside this time round was that the site was fully booked and as a result, sometimes had to wait a few minutes for a free shower - although there are two shower/toilet blocks and one of them is really large so probably didn't have to wait in that one. My main gripe was that they ran out of toilet roll in the smaller block every night without fail and there still wasn't any first thing in the morning - good job I was prepared with my own personal roll! Having said that, the cleaners were on site about 3/4 times a day and the loos and showers were clean. So to summarise, very highly maintained ground with clearly marked out pitches. EHU available and a lot of taps for water situated around. Good on site facilities but make sure you've got your own loo roll just in case.

This site is set just outside of the main town of Newquay and the entrance to it is on a rather difficult bend on a very narrow road. We found that to be quite a problem at times when the road was busy. The site itself was well run but at the time we were there it was noisy The toilet blocks were ok but as it was busy they got dirty quickly. We did not use the pool or clubhouse but did walk into town quite comfortably a number of times which saved on the problem of having to park.
We had one big tent (6 berth) and two 2 man tents on our one pitch so it was generous sized, and level.

I recently stayed at Trencreek for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it there. The pitches are reasonably level, a decent size, and clearly marked out. The serviced pitches all have a tap close enough for you to fill onboard tanks with a hose, instead of having to use water carriers. The EHU is of high enough ampage to use domestic appliances without tripping the electric. The campsite is well maintained with many pitches having overhanging trees, so you could have the choice of having shade or not. Recently, two brand new toilet & shower blocks have been built, and are regularly cleaned and serviced. No extra charge for showers and the hot water was always available. Though I would add that I thought the water temperature was too hot, and you cannot adjust it. There is a clubhouse bar, with an adjoining games room. The drinks are reasonably priced, and entertainment is on occasionally either a singer or a DJ. The barstaff were very friendly and the campsite owner is usually in the bar at night. The bar shuts about 11 - 11.45, so you will not have noise from the clubhouse going on late. There is a shop on site, but it is poorly stocked and over priced. Morrisons supermarket is just down the road, either a 5 min drive, or a 20 min walk. There is a cafe on site. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. You can either eat in or take away. There is two fishing lakes on the site, well stocked with Tench, and apparently some big Carp. I was catching Tench all week but whether the Carp exist or not I never found out. There is an outdoor swimming pool, but I never used it, so cannot comment. I would recommend this site, and will return to it. Many of the other campers I spoke to have been using it regularly for many years.

Great family site with something for everyone, centrally located with town centre and other amenities within easy walking distance. Also a bus stop outside camp gate if youre feeling lazy.
All the usual facilities, good club with entertainment and children's room, laundry, shop, pool, all very good. Hook ups available, level site. The only small criticism is that you can be very close to your neighbour, but that said all in all a great site with reasonable rates.

Have stopped here lots of times over the past 10 years always coming down from Yorkshire for the surfing competition weeks. Initially in a chalet then by tent as children grew up. Always found it very good for families. The pub is ok if you like lots of kids running round. Unfortunately the owners sold one of the main tent fields a couple of years ago for housing which gave the whole site a much more 'condensed' feel, space is now at a premium with small pitches and I dont like tenting so close to caravans, which is why I haven't been back. Facilities are pretty good though, even has small fishing pond which is relaxing early morning. Bus to Newquay is a bit hit and miss but its easy to get a taxi. Traffic into Newquay by car can be horrendous however, can take half an hour just to get to the main road. It is possible to walk if you are feeling fit, takes about 30 mins.

First stayed at Trencreek during the eclipse in 1999 spending 2 weeks here, returned in 2005 as part of a touring holiday and spent 3 great nights, good facilities (Huge toilet block), excellent on site pub / takeaway, pub had live music! Again its a shame some of these bigger sites don't allow you to book in advance for a short stay. Have to give this campsite an excellent overall review. Newquay town centre a short walk away

This was my 7th or 8th visit to the campsite - it is definitely one of the best I have stayed in, lots of good showers and toilets with no queues and plenty of hot water. Pitches are good sizes and it is relatively quiet - although the ducks can be loud at times they are a nice addition to the site and it is very green and peaceful. The main bonus is that it is within walking distance of Newquay town centre down a nice footpath away from the road and for those who don't want to walk there is a bus stop next to the main gate with a pretty regular shuttle into town. I would definitely recommend the site and I for one will visit again.

Just arrived back home after our 10 day stay. The facilities were as I expected with DJ or live music in the club 5 days a week (3 yr old loved going to dance). Shop stocks were OK but had sold out of our type of gas whilst we were there. The pool was fantastic and opened from 9am to 9pm (all 4 of us spent many hours here) & cleaned each morning. There are a few tiles that need replacing & some sharp edges so do be aware of this. I found the toilet blocks were clean although, unfortunately, a few people overused the loo roll causing blockages. Both the play area & arcade kept my eldest (aged 10) entertained for most of the evening whilst the ponds and ducks were favoured by the youngest (3). But for the inconvenience of sharing the camp with a handful of nuisances, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hope to visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

August 2005 we had a group of 8 adults and 1 child for a 5 night stay. This was my first time camping and can honestly say I loved it. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night. There were 2 shower blocks, one in the centre of camp which was the smaller one and one at the top of the drive which was a lot bigger, both were very clean which suprised me - this was the part I was dreading and there was no need. I will definitly go camping again and will go back to Trencreek if we go back to Newquay. I loved it fabulous.
