September 2005 Spent a couple of nights here just after school holidays had finished. Shop, takeaway & bar had reduced opening hours but toilet block was nice & clean & the resident ducks were very friendly! Good size pitches with lots of electric hook-ups available. Good value for money & only a short bus-ride into town.

August 2005 This campsite was rather fun. We didnt have any problems with drunk 16 yr olds and the facilities were good.
The free hot water turned out to be free luke warm water but I think that was just caused by the amount of people using them (bank holiday). The toilets were a bit scummy but were cleaned regularly.
However we were given a great pitch by the friendly staff and had a really good weekend. It was reasonably quiet also but not too quiet which was good. However we did get woken up every morning by the ducks but I guess thats part of the fun!
All in all a good fun site with lots of facilities. Hopefully be returning soon!

August 2005 Very nice site. Great weather. Shower / toilet facilities excellent. Nice clubhouse. Great playgound. Friendly staff. Good swimming pool. Great fishing. Nice takeaway / cafe. Grass cut regularly. Only complaint you had to pay cash or cheque on arrival and we did not have any cash or cheque book with us so we had to go to nearby supermarket to get the cash. We had a great two weeks and met some lovely people.

August 2005 Spent a week here in August, excellent takeaway, bar, shop and pool. Toilet blocks cleaned 3 times a day! Reasonable sized site far enough away from the centre of Newquay to be family friendly. Excellent bus service from outside the gate with a family return ticket only £2.40 to the town centre and with the traffic congestion and parking problems in Newquay, the best way to travel.
What spoilt the site for us was the amount of seasonal pitches all surrounded by acres of windbreaks making manouvering off the site a chore. Some noise was generated by youths living on the site and working in Newquay.

August 2004 I noticed that they said it was a family park but I still found that there were what appeared to be gangs of youths and girls who appeared to think they could stagger back drunk in the early hours waking half the site up. I complained about night time noise and the reception said that security patrolled the park but all I can say is it made little difference. It wasn't particularly clean or well kept either. Ponds hardly had any fish and looked poor, swimming pool unheated and dirty.

July 2003 We couldn't think where else to go and time was getting on so we booked this campsite - again - for August 2004. We have been coming to this site for years, although this year will be the first in the school holidays.
It's clean, the facilities are clean, there is everything you need on site or very close by. Good size pitches. Efficient reception services. Really looking forward to this summer.
Have been with various friends and family over the years and they've always been happy.

August 03 First off, let me say that we had a great two weeks, the weather obviously helped, but we love the area, and seem to have landed on our feet booking this site. We didnt start looking until the end of May, so feared the worst when everywhere was fully booked. The only site that had space with elec was this one. Checked the campsite review page and it seemed just what the doctor ordered. Being the eternal pessimist, you think, why’s that then? whats wrong with this site? We needn’t have worried , it was great.
Ideally placed in Newquay for all the beaches Safeway, Lidal and Macdonalds are just around the corner. You can walk into the Town in about 30 minutes, but you come out by Tolcarne beach so its still a bit of a jaunt to the Harbour.
Just a couple of points to keep in mind. A lot of the pitches are beneath overhanging trees, not so bad if your in a caravan, we were in a TT and we had a lot of horrible brown sticky things dropping onto the canvas and staining it.
As I’ve said it was nice and sunny and dry when we were there, I can just imagine the mess had it been raining.
There are two shower blocks, a large one at the top of the hill and a smaller one down the bottom where we were, this one only had 3 showers so it did get a little congested at times.
Two small ponds for fishing , seemed very popular, small site shop - only really had the basics and no alcohol !!!!Outdoor swimming pool was ok.
We would use this site again - but away from the trees.

AUGUST 2003 Just got back from a great 2 weeks in Newquay. agree with most of the points in the other reviews, would just like to ask Jaynus if they had outboard motors on their trainers on their walk into town.it took us 40 minutes and then you come out by Tolcarne Beach so its still a fair step to the shops and harbour.
Site was clean and quiet. Be aware the 2nd shower block down the bottom end only has 3 showers so there was some congestion. A lot of the people we met were real regulars on this site and really friendly and helpful. Are looking at going back again next year.

july 2002 Being my first time camping and in cornwall i must say my friend chay chose an excellent site to start.
The site itself is directed towards families.
The pool was slightly on the chilly side but i must say with two shower blocks with the site in immaculate condition i would definately recommend trencreek to any family looking for an enjoyable break

almost every year for over 10 years! Been going here for over 10 years and would recommend this site to anyone wanting to visit Newquay. This site is brilliant for people of all ages, especially for the kids! It's set in a ideal location, you can walk to town, theres a bus route via the site and a train staion close by too! Another good thing is that if you have already been once and fancy going again you can book your favourite pitch (if available) My family and I have many great memories of the holidays on this site and I hope you all do too. Happy holidays!!
